Valentina instantly connects with sweet, shy Meka, but the young girl's handsome father leaves her breathless. Valentina’s warmth and compassion draws Braxton in, awakening feelings he thought were buried forever. Opening his heart means helping Meka navigate her fears of losing her father to someone new.
As Braxton and Valentina grow closer, some unexpected challenges threaten their happiness. They must decide if what they've built together is worth fighting for.
Beyond Words is an emotional contemporary romance about finding love after loss and the courage it takes to open your heart again.
This is it. The sappiest book I’ve ever read. A widowed father meets his daughter’s teacher! From the moment they locked eyes, it was instant attraction. And the rest was history. Just all googly eyes, sweet kisses, hand-holding, and a bunch of “I love yous” history.
I’m giving it 5 stars just simply for how unapologetically sappy it was. 🤷🏾♀️
Although there was more emotion than action, still a good story.
Braxton is a great father, who is still missing his deceased wife, Leslie. Nevertheless, he put his daughter, Meka, first, to make sure she is successfully making it through each day.
Loved Meka's, teacher, Miss Valentina, who also went the extra mile for both Braxton and Meka.. Still a little disappointed that Braxton didn't knock Patrick on his a$$, for his blatant disrespect towards Valentina, when Braxton had the chance!
I couldn't find the sizzle and fizzle in the writing of this story. It fell flat! I got the storyline, but both Braxton and Valentina lacked the passion and romance needed to fuel the story for me. More story development was needed. There was a little bit of drama, but not enough to help add to the story.
The best character was Meka. Sometimes, kids add a little something to the equation. She was adorable!
I loved this book because love at first sight is so romantic. The couple took their time respectful. He had a daughter who loved has he did. She did not try to take his first wife place. Just love & respect.
