This is a tough read in many parts, because of the intricate, detailed descriptions of Temple worship and the many rules God gave for governing the lives and policy of Israel. Its useful reading though because it helps demonstrate the heavy burden of the law and how Christ set us free from it through His perfect life in our place. Also, it shows the extreme degree of care required for us to set ourselves apart as holy from our culture and be pure before God. This is not something to take lightly.
Thankfully we are free in Christ, but it is useful to examine the laws and rules in this book and consider them: what can we learn from this? What principles should we take from Leviticus and consider when making our own laws and rules?
