This book is a very accessible examination of the process of evaluating how dangerous an individual has the potential to be. The author's area of expertise is school shooters and most of the examples draw on that aspect of risk assessment; however, most of the discussions are applicable to any situation in which one must examine the possibility of another person being dangerous. This was required reading for my Violence and Risk Assessment class, but was interesting enough that I just read it all the way through without worrying about which segment I was supposed to read per the syllabus.
