Not bad, but not among the best either. However, I do appreciate the clever introduction of the authors introducing themselves and the book in the form of a cover letter. I also appreciate the countless examples of an effective cover letter because, unfortunately, my cover letter isn't going to write itself.
This book is LARGE. After reading 400 pages, I must know how to write a cover letter, right? However, past the page count, I wasn't that impressed with this book. I thought the authors could at times be condescending by over-explaining simple concepts, and their desperate need to reiterate examples within a paragraph three or four times got to be irritating. Honestly I think the title is misleading - this is a cover letter compendium, apparently intended for someone who has never heard the term. Do yourself a favor and buy a smaller, more concise book.
