Moving mountains to bury the truth leaves Hatch with only one choice...
Dig until she sees the light of day.In the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, an explosive disaster traps Rachel Hatch in a crumbling tunnel—and it’s no accident. As survivors struggle to escape, Hatch discovers evidence that points to something far more a meticulously staged collapse designed to look like a natural catastrophe.

With lives hanging in the balance, Hatch must navigate the shifting rubble, protect those trapped alongside her, and uncover the truth before time runs out. But powerful forces will do whatever it takes to keep their deadly secret buried—even if it means silencing Hatch and the survivors forever.

Faultline delivers a heart-pounding mix of action, emotion, and suspense. Rachel Hatch returns in a high-stakes mission where the truth lies buried far beneath the surface.

Great story loaded with redundant description

There were endless repeats of themes, memes, and often, identical lines shifted only slightly. I found myself moving front opening paragraph line to opening paragraph line, ignoring the endless repetition that slowed story movement. Not sure if I would recommend this. It's a bit off the mark for the series.

This One was Almost Fun

The fourteenth installment of the Hatch series by L.T. Ryan and Brian Shea picks up seamlessly where Mirage left off, plunging us back into the tension between Hatch and those responsible for the chaos in Riverton. The stakes are high—a hit has been ordered on a whistleblower who knows exactly what went down. Hatch, ever resourceful and guided by the code her father instilled in her, catches wind of the threat and, true to form, decides to intervene.

From the outset, we’re introduced to Princess Mayhem and her owner, Raff, a trucker whose role in the story becomes clear even before Hatch and her protectees find themselves in real danger. Their presence adds texture to the narrative, and the way they’re woven into the plot feels both natural and timely.

One recurring annoyance: the frequent comparisons of item prices to mortgages or cars. It’s a stylistic choice that grated on me, especially given the current economic climate. While the authors couldn’t have predicted the shutdown, even outside of that context, the repetition felt excessive.

Still, this book fits snugly into Hatch’s world—a place of suspense, grit, and relentless momentum. Ryan and Shea deliver the kind of high-octane storytelling readers have come to expect from them, both individually and as a team. I found myself once again staying up all night, swiping left, devouring each page with greedy anticipation.

Another great Rachel Hatch book!! I love any good female crime fighting, a** kicking thriller series & this series hasn't let me down yet! Rachel better known as just Hatch continues to stand up for the rights of the little people, generally against large corporations or just those who seek to control others & do harm. Hatch takes on everybody & anybody who is out to do harm in each & every one of these books!! They're a great addition to the usual all male world of Heroes & Hatch should definitely be ranked right beside Bosch, Reacher, even soon Alex Cross!! The only downside to this book was the repetitive phrasing of "earthquake prevention turned into earthquake creation". It's still an all around amazing book that highlights what happens when good technology falls into the wrong person's hands. But there's also a lot of good humans here doing the right thing, just because it's the right thing to do!! I think our whole world needs more of that, especially these days. People helping people. Not for glory or praise or any recognition, just because it's the right thing to do!! I'm pretty sure that the majority of the human race was actually raised to do the next right thing...Hatch Actually Does It!! It's an AWESOME book. It'll have you on the edge of your seat at times, & you'll read it late into the night probably just like I did. But I'm not suggesting that we all go out & become the next Hatch!! That would be way too dangerous!! But the regular people in here who are just helping because they know that's what's right!! Those are the ones that we should all emulate to the best of our ability!!

Better plot but choked at the finish

A truly imaginative plot concept generally well developed. Some of the writing felt like the author was being paid by the word and once again your proofreader is taking your money for no apparent reason. Some of the late plot forays felt lame and unsupported in any real sense, but all in all, this protagonist is so good she could star in the Epstein Files movie and come away untarnished. She could use a little more care in her handling from her writers. But I'll be looking for her next adventure.

Making sure there is still some good in the world.

Rachel Hatch is larger than life that is for sure. However her mission is beyond reproach. She just can’t see good people suffer or be killed for power and money. This plays out in every page of this book. It is fast paced and readable with the descriptions of rural Virginia setting the scene. Lots of fast paced action and description as Rachel Hatch once again saves the good guys and gets to go to her niece’s birthday party. A good read!

Good versus evil,who will win.

Hatch is going after the bad guys again and in the process she has to save a good man and his family from becoming innocent victims of the very people she is hunting.
As usual Hatch has to use her fighting skills and ultimately the bad guys find out that there is more to her than they think and unfortunately for them when they confront her they don't live long enough to regret their actions, because Rachel Hatch doesn't take prisoners.

More ☺️ Thank you

This would make a great movie :)
I love a strong intelligent woman,
Good versus evil, kind men doing the right thing. And dogs 🐶 always. We need this kind of story in our world today. To be able to check out for a while and not think about the forces at work in our world 🌎

Good story but the wordiness was too much!

I like a good Rachel Hatch story but the descriptions used in this book were superfluous and at times ridiculous. So many extra words and repetition apparently just to make the book long enough since even with all of that, it was only 225 pages. Disappointing.

Amazing

I have read all of Rachel Hatch's stories, and loved every one. LT is a great story teller. This latest story of an earthquake device raises questions as to whether someone actually created one. Scary senerio, but a great ending. Thank you LT for another great!

Finished another entertaining Hatch book and now I wait for the next one. I laughed out loud, teared up and was on the edge in anticipation. Mr. Ryan is a great story teller. Try out his other series, I enjoy all of them.

Fabulous, as always!

I love these books! Hatch is one of my favorite characters! She's tough as nails and educated in combat the hard way.
This story took down some scary political bigwigs and righted some huge wrongs.
Excellent!

Rachel Hatch to the Rescue

This bookcaught my attention from the beginning. Hatch continued her quest from Riverton to bring down Kern & Harlan. She then ended up saving a family of 3 in the most harrowing way. This book left me breathless.

good read, but sloppy editing

I’ve enjoyed this series and even this book. But, this one seemed rushed. Maybe I’m nitpicking, but using the same phrases & descriptors several times over in a less than 250 page book seems lazy. Also multiple plot errors and unlikely coincidences.

I've enjoyed this whole series. Hatch is a great character with depth to her personality. The author did a great job at developing Hatch as she meets challenges. But her backstory is very interesting. It makes for a great storyline.

Whew! Non stop suspense and action.

I really admire the character Rachel Hatch. It makes me wonder if there are real life Rachel Hatches out there being a hero we will never hear about.

The good guys...

Hatch doesn't disappoint. Monumental, destruction at the heart and saved by a tiny dog at it's ending. Real, gratifying, people you come to care about with the painting of the author's words. Deeply satisfying...more please!

Good

Good read, a little bit “mission impossible”. As with other books in this series l, too much repetition of descriptions/ details
