Wonder Sutton found the courage to leave a dead end relationship and start life over, but she left with more than unresolved trauma. She left with a bad habit. A habit that's going to do more harm than good, especially when it's the reason she becomes a witness to a horrendous crime. O
Wilde Hunter doesn't care about anyone but himself. He dubs himself a jerk and couldn't care less how anyone feels about him or his actions. When the opportunity to get underneath the skin of someone he loathes arises, Wilde refuses to let the moment go to waste. He has no clue how blackmailing the wrong person will change his life.
I went into the read blind, so I was ready for anything. Well, that is exactly what the hell I got! 🤣
That damn Wilde was one of the biggest assholes I have come across in a minute. Just why are you so damn mean, uncaring, and ruthless with your mouth and actions? Uhhhh….. 😤
Wonder is a beast with wrapping cars. She is living her best life, after getting out of a toxic relationship and dealing with trauma that she suffered through. However, she has a vice. While picking up items to support said vice, she witnesses a crime and now has become a liability. Lawd, why? To see this? What will happen to me? 🤦🏾♀️
Wilde decides to use this opportunity for his own gain, and mess with Wonder a bit as well. However, he doesn’t know that this little game he has planned will change them both forever. Wilde goes into this trying to bait Drew, but being around Wonder is changing him, and making him feel and do things he never thought possible. Wonder is irritated that this jerk em off is pulling her strings like a puppet master, but she can’t deny how fine he is. Also, he isn’t such a bad person when it is just the two of them. They quickly fall into an easy groove, but neither of them will admit to the feelings that have been brewing between them.
Wilde!! How could you have made such an amateur mistake like that? 🤬 My heart immediately dropped to my toes as I thought that this is it! 💔 But he’s an on-time God, yes, he is! 🙏🏾 Wilde got out of that jam, and on to bigger and better things with his girl Wonder by his side. These two went through some up's downs and all arounds, but it was amusing and adorable to watch them both grow. Enjoyed this. 👍🏾👍🏾
I didn’t like this one but I did finish it to see where it went. I think the whole Junkie FMC is a nice change made the book different but the outcomes just didn’t match for me. Like too many things were rushed and concluded while never getting into the details about major plot points. Wonder was a functioning addict in denial about her issues while constantly getting mad and feeling ashamed when it was brought up. Like I wasn’t feeling how she kept tryna put down weed and alcohol but was a real life junkie. Like sure those two substances can be dangerous and sure many people use them in unhealthy ways but let’s not deflect. I also was like where’s her belly lmaoo cus I know it don’t take but so long for that lean gut to show up. I also felt like the author was playing around cus how in one breath she say she tryna be lowkey about her use but walking around with a double cup lmaoo like ain’t nothing subtle about that. Next up why was the miscarriages mentioned 4847747 times but we never seen or heard the actual cause of them. Like ohh it was just the universe redirecting her to the crackhead path she needed to go down???
The MMC was okay but the growth was minimal and he was a little annoying like never gave tough enough to scare miss girl into this farfetched scheme. Even then it’s like okay you sell drugs, commit fraud and then finally decide ima be a good man on the straight and narrow??? Like I’m sorry it just didn’t feel like the characters grew in a sensible way for the amount of time passing through the story. I hated the Pierre,Koko, Nina storyline and just wish we would’ve gotten a more worthwhile set of trials and tribulations. I also don’t get how he got out of jail like and what was his book actually about lmao like don’t mention he became an author but don’t say what he wrote lmao like what was the point?

Ultimately, she fell for the same kind of man that broke her. Wilde may be better than Drew in some matters, but they were similar in a lot more ways that mattered.
I'd be damned if the first day I pop out with my man, he cheats with a bitch from around the way. Like he went through all that trouble just to invite a random to his crib to fuck? He was way too petty for his age. Then, the mothafucka had a baby on the way when they first popped out. He's very similar to Drew, so I don't understand how she could fr fall for him.
The storyline had a lot of potential, but not enough time was spent on this story's more emotional/tender parts. Those parts would've done wonders in creating depth for not only the story but also the characters. Sadly, things remained surface level, and I never really got to feel their romance, especially considering such little time passed.
Also, many of their values/morals were mixed up, unstable, and didn't always make sense.
Wilde and Wonder their story was crazy. Wilde blackmailed Wonder when she was only trying to get some syrup. I knew he really liked her and it had nothing to do with trying to get back at her ex Drew. I really didn’t want that baby by Misha to be Wilde’s..I enjoyed this book and this author never disappoints.
Imagine falling in love with the person you initially planned on using? Wasn’t in the cards for Wilde but it happened anyway and I loved every part of witnessing him fall hard for Wonder.
3.5 🌟This read was super solid! Also first time reading this author.
Wonder and Wilder are such cute names, and while this story had its share of adorable moments, it also carried a lot of heaviness. Wonder and Wilder meet in a crazy circumstance that ties Wonder to Wilder until he says when. Their journey in an arranged situation was both petty and enlightening for both characters, as they realized they had been settling for less and could do better in many areas of their lives simply by being around each other. They had to feel their emotions and stop depending on quick fixes to ease the pain. Wonder and Wilde do get to a sweet HEA, but not without the drama of a baby mama, bitter exes, and, unfortunately, a “third act breakup.” The secondary characters, Pierre, Nina, and Koko, were good drama, but I truly hated how things ended for Pierre and Nina. I could've done without Koko’s friendship resolve with Wonder. Overall, a solid urban romance read from a new author to me!
Y’all Wilde was annoying me in the beginning and I’m sure it was a me thing. BUT when I say I’m glad I didn’t quit him. I’m glad I didn’t quit him. I loved him down by the end. I get his why, I understood him a little more and even despite how he trapped Wonder, they were exactly what the other one needed.
Imagine going to cop some cough syrup only to get caught up in an unaliving. Welp! That’s what happens to Wonder. She goes along with it because I mean what other option does she have. Fast forward, Wonder and Wilde are fake dating but giving real ssa vibes. Y’all the way he helped her, healed her, showed up for her and stepped about her CHEF’S KISS. Wonder taught Wilde what it was like to not have to always be hard, to care, to be better and want to do better. This story was dope af and easily a 5 star. You get so much and is left with so much. Thank you Miss Raynor!!!! Enjoyed this too much.
Wonder Sutton cannot catch a break. She finally walks away from a draining relationship, drags all her unresolved trauma with her, and picks up a vice that leads her right into witnessing a crime she absolutely was not supposed to see. Enter Wilde Hunter, the man whose attitude is so rude it should be illegal. He thinks blackmailing her is going to be a quick little revenge scheme, something fun to pass the time. Instead, the universe laughs in his face and says, “Boy, be serious.”
Their dynamic is pure chaos. Wonder is trying to survive her own demons, while Wilde is trying to act like he doesn’t have a single real feeling in his entire body. Watching them clash, soften, bicker, and then accidentally build something real was messy in the most human way. He thinks he’s pulling her strings, but she’s the one getting under his skin, and it’s hilarious watching him fold in real time.
This story had a nice balance of heavy emotional moments and that enemies to lovers tension that keeps the pages turning. The vibes were strong, the banter was sharp, and the character growth actually made sense. A little more depth in certain plot points would’ve pushed it to a full 5, but I still really enjoyed the ride.
If you’re into urban romance with flawed characters, bad decisions, heat, and a whole lot of heart beneath the chaos, this one absolutely delivers.
This book was going to be rated an easy 4 stars, but as I got further into the book, I had to drop a star. Like around 60-65%... I believed Wilde to be a bit childish. I didn't really like him being so petty. And for him to be 30 playing them kinda games for work just didn't seem right, like again, childish. LOL But overall, he was a good person. I also didn't fully feel the chemistry between him and Wonder. A little bit of it was there, but I don't think there was enough bonding forreal. It was just blackmail and then sex. Wonder was coo. I actually liked her, outside of her nasty addiction. She was coo and down to earth. I hated she experienced what she did, but God doesn't make mistakes and going through three times, was only a blessing in disguise. KoKo was kinda stupid. lmao like girl- what made you even think that was okay? Pierre was dead wrong and im glad Nina got out of that situation. The manipulation was DISGUSTING. Overall, good read, but I did feel like some stuff was redundant.
I was going to rate it 4.5 but then I gave it a 5. This is my first time reading anything written by Natisha Raynor. But I actually enjoyed reading this. I typically skim read parts that I feel are repetitive or unnecessary. I liked the way this flowed and the fact that we got to see the growth of Wilde. I liked his character alot. And I liked the way he and Wonder's love story began. I wished it was longer because it seems like the author has to condense everything because of the book length. Other than that I enjoyed this quick read.
There’s a level of toxicity here that I want no part of, but I did enjoy reading it. Wilde’s name doesn’t even do him justice. He’s harsh, direct, and honestly known for being an asshole. Even though he always speaks his mind, people still try to twist who he is to fit their own narratives. He’s a murderer and makes his money illegally, but after his cousin is killed, he goes looking for chaos. With a broken childhood and no real use for women beyond sex, he uses Wonder and a scheme to make her ex (Wilde’s enemy) jealous. But Wilde may have bitten off more than he could chew.
Wonder is independent and beautiful, but she battles an addiction that spiraled due to her toxic ex and three heartbreaking miscarriages. The toxicity between Wilde and Wonder runs deep, but so does their connection. Their bond turns into something real. Their friends are wrapped up in their own drama, and what starts as a plan for revenge slowly evolves into love. Through it all, together and on their own, Wilde and Wonder begin to heal.
It’s a quick, wild read that I really enjoyed.
P.S. Pierre ain’t SHIT and KoKo needs her ass whooped! I don’t know how Wilde stayed friends with her, but hey, I might not be the bigger person to decide.
(3.25) It was a fast paced read and enjoyable, but PMO so many times. Wilde is too grown to have the reactions he had to a lot of the situations that occurred. Him and Pierre had me livid most of the time, but I liked the book though.
This book was soooo good 😩😍 Wonder and Wilde really took me through it with all the ups, downs, emotions, and drama, but babyyy it was worth every page. Their story had me locked in bad. The chemistry, the journey, the way they kept fighting through everything… & that ending? Perfect af. Had me smiling hard like yeahhh that’s exactly how I needed this to end 💋📚❤️
PIERRE WAS THE TYPICAL PHUCK BOY WHO THOUGHT HE WAS GONNA KEEP DOING HIM UNTIL HE WAS TIRED AND READY TO DO RIGHT BY THE GOOD GIRL (NINA) WHO FINALLY HAD ENOUGH AND CHOSE TO LOVE HERSELF MORE THAN HIM. WANT EXPECTING HIS STORY TO END THE WAY IT DID, BUT HOPEFULLY WE’LL HEAR FROM HIM IN THE FUTURE. NINA 🤦🏽♀️! I’M PROUD OF HER GROWTH CAUSE SHE HAD ME WORRIED.
DREW GOT WHAT HE DESERVED🤷🏽♀️
KOKO🙄! GIRLFRIEND HAD TO LEARN THE HARD WAY AND I FELT NOT AN OUNCE OF SYMPATHY FOR HER🤷🏽♀️. I AM GLAD SHE GOT HER ISH TOGETHER AND FIXED HER RELATIONSHIP WITH WONDER🥰.
WILDE & WONDER❤️. WHAT STARTED OFF AS BLACKMAIL TURNED INTO SO MUCH MORE. THESE TWO HAD THEIR CRAZY MOMENTS, BUT THE LOVE THEY HAD FOR EACH OTHER SLOWED TO TAKE THOSE MOMENTS APART TO GET THEIR MINDS RIGHT. I LOVED THEIR ENDING ❤️🔥
(3.5⭐️)There was so much happening in this book for no reason at times lol. The reason for their arrangement felt a bit far fetched but hey, that’s why it’s fiction. Also I don’t think I’ve ever read a book where a main character struggled with drugs that wasn’t weed. So that was a different spin on things. My favorite part was just the banter between our two main characters. I appreciated watching them move from disdain to love. Ending felt a little rushed.
This was so good!! Our MC is wild af indeed. Our FMC, lord bless her heart. To be fair, her situation could have been worse. She could have been dead or have to deal with some old foggie. Instead, she was shackled to one of the hottest guys in the hood. A win is a win lol. Watching Wilde fall for her and grow into the person he became at the end, was amazing. I like the way their relationship evolved.
When it comes to the friendships, I think Nat did a good job of portraying how we often find ourselves having to navigate through certain issues. Especially when it comes to having 2 friends that are in a foul situation. Where it's -Do I blindly support my friend in their tom foolery, our do I let them know they were wrong and show them the error of their ways? - I'm glad our fmc was mature enough to do the right thing.
I also enjoyed seeing the growth of the side characters.
This was everything you're looking for in an urban romance. The streets are HOTTT!!! The banter is real and it's also hella funny! Wilde is very appropriately named, and he sure as hell lives up to it. This was my first Natisha Raynor novel and I think she might have a new fan. From the story to the character development, to the banter and the spice, I enjoyed every moment.
Definitely worth the read! 10 outta 10 would recommend
Omg I loved this book. It was everything I needed! This is the perfect book to get you out of a book slump. I was not ready for it to end. I needed 300 more pages !
Wilde was something else but I loved his character. He was hilarious and I loved witnessing his growth. He went from being a hotheaded player who didn’t care about women and was always on his get back stuff to being fully committed and more level headed. I loved how he was open to change and he set boundaries with his previous women so they’d never come at wonder crazy. I love me some Wilde. He pissed me off with what he did near the end but it could’ve been worst.
Wonder was a great FMC. She was carrying grief and self medicated to numb the pain. Her ex literally tore her down. She eventually overcame all of that and set boundaries and demanded respect. Wilde met his match with her and I loved it. I loved how she stood on her morals and didn’t go back on it for anyone.
Koko was stupid. She knew what it was when she met Pierre and still inserted herself in his issues. Pierre got what he deserved. I love Nina and how she stood on business.
What happened with Drew was so abrupt that I forgot he was supposed to be a major villain. That could have been paced out a little better. The Lonna and misha situation could have been explored a little more as well.
Wilde was the perfect name for him cause he was wild!! Wonder said it perfectly, he was too old to be so damn childish." This is the first book that I have read and enjoyed reading where I could NOT stand the MMC. Wilde made my ass itch!! Childish was really an understatement in my opinion but as stated earlier I couldn't stop reading I needed to see if he was eventually going to change... This was a mix of enemies to lover and forced proximity trope, even though I felt like Wonder was too good for Wilde, she was also a good fit for him if that makes sense. Like he needed her for him to finally grow tf up. Now Wonder got on my nerves too they way she tried to downplay her addiction and get defensive when her people called her out on it like it wasn't a big deal. She had way too much going for herself but the addiction added a different touch to the book. Maybe it's me, but KoKo was dead ass wrong for getting mad at Wonder! She know her ass was wrong and I was not feeling her apology but again that's just me. I am glad Nina finally got some sense and stood up! All in all this was a good read, I could be bias because I am a fan of the author!
What a wonderful book! This book is, it’s such a good read. It’s very well written. It’s filled with character with laughs, I mean, any less than perfect person can get their happiness.
We meet our FMC wonder when she has gone through a break up with a man that was a narcissist and all wrong for her. The relationship that wonder was in was an abusive one mentally psychologically, and she came out of it with an addiction. And as she goes on to to cop something to take care of her addiction, she comes upon Wylde and finds out that she is not the only one who hates her ex.
So the book goes on with the usual shenanigans that happened in our romance novels, but the beautiful thing is that the character changed for WYLDE is so beautiful to watch like trust me you will get annoyed but stick with it up to the 50% work and then you will be glad that you stayed.
All in all, you will be really just kind of heartworm to see if the character development in WYLDE as well as the healing that happens for our girl wonder but the roads there is filled with ups and downs the author did a really good job with this book.
I cannot really explain it, but I liked this book so much that I purchased the hard copy after reading it on my Kindle. I have read many better books, with better characters and better storylines, but there was something about Wilde that I was drawn to. He pissed me off in the begining but I could see through him from the beginning. I think what won me over was his transformation after jail.
I liked Wonder, but she wasn't my favorite in the beginning either. Her pregnancy struggles made her so relatable! She was a boss, but her biggest fear was not being able to carry a child! I felt her pain! That's a different type of pain!
I could also relate to Wilde's relationship with his mother. His family dynamic as a whole drew me in. IDK...there were so many relatable aspects to this book. And I also love the forced proximity trope. Its probably my favorite.
Unhinged MMC. Stubborn FMC. A rivals to lovers story.
Wilde is just that, wild & childish. The plot was pretty good, I wish it was a bit longer and the Misha x Lonna portion of the book was explored a bit more.
I also would have liked to see a Drew POV before the climax to add in some context to the plot.
Moderately spicy, not an erotica. I also would have loved to see a bit more tension before the first spice scene. I would consider Wilde & Wonder rivals of inconvenience turned lovers.
Side note: The characters refer to women as “females.” I believe it’s intended to flow with the slang and lifestyle of the characters but it made me cringe a bit.
Overall, a pretty good read with a H.E.A. The audiobook is really good and is a great companion to this book
*Spoiler*
I LOVE that the author changed the trajectory of Nina’s story. There comes a point when enough is enough and it’s refreshing to read stories that aren’t suffocating in the second chance trope. Very well done.
Wilde was indeed something wild. He was a hustler through and through. Out in the streets, running women, but when murder hits super close to home - ALL BETS ARE OFF!
Wonder is done. Done with her ex, done feeling and just done going through the motions. Just trying to pickup something to help her sleep better she sees something she wishes she never should’ve saw.
Placed and a weird position, both Wilde and Wonder do everything in their power to get under each other’s skin. Only that tension is not hate or dislike.
What is really going on between them? The bigger question is what’s going on with the people around them? Wonder’s best friend, KoKo can’t take a hint and find something safe to do. Wilde’s cousin Pierre is caught up proving just how much of a dog he is to his baby mama, Nina. The streets are hot and folk are dropping. What’s next?!
I really enjoyed this book. Natisha did a solid with this one.
First of all, let’s be clear… 5’8 is not that tall. Had to get that out the way.
Wilde and Wonder were frontin. They asses were in a real relationship and didn’t even know it.
Koko annoyed me. Why even put Wonder in that position when Wonder already told her she was cool with Nina? Then she turns around like she had no self-control. I don’t care how long her man was doing a bid, getting pregnant was stupid. She did all that just to get tossed aside anyway. Hormones my ass. She was snapping on Wonder for no reason and projecting her guilt. Wonder should’ve gave her a hard time.
Wilde and Wylder. That baby is going to be just as crazy as his daddy.
Misha’s pregnancy didn’t add anything. It felt unnecessary, like her pregnancy was added just because. I think the author just loves pregnancies.
Nina had a genuinely good spirit, and I was glad she chose herself. Pierre can sit with his regret and think about what he lost.

Now I have been sitting on this book for MONTHS! Finally decided to read it along with the audio. Now was the blackmail childish? Yes. Did we get a real good story out of it? Also yes. Wonder was a go getter and good at what she did, just never had luck in the love department till she was blackmailed into a relationship that became real. Wilde was so childish and thought he was so smart. It took Wonder and his situations to find out he was living life crazy and needed to man up.
Pierre was TRASH. Shoot him and Drew were trash. Thinking they can keep someone while being hoes! 🤦🏾♀️ Soo happy Nina found her worth and moved on.
Now Kiki knew better, fell for the trap and paid for that. The way she went at it with Wonder was all wrong.
Overall I really enjoyed this book! This is my first book I have read by Natisha but I have about 5 more lined up to read next.
Okayyy as a New to me author and a book club pick of the month, this was a Five Star read for me, I loved the writing style of this book. I also enjoyed how relatable it could be in the real world. All the characters played their role in this story well!! Miss Wonder being into that Drank deffffff took me by surprise lmao but it made for good conversation. Wilde has got to be one of my favorites he was so real and blunt Happy to see growth take place with some of the characters. Different topics were discussed in this book with verbal abuse, MC, alcoholism, death, so please check your trigger warnings before reading if those things bother you! Don't want to spoil it too much but some of these side characters will piss you off lol I was soooo annoyed!! Def will be reading more of this authors catalog! Already have the Treacherous Twin Series on my TBR!!
