Tethered In Blood: The Gods are Waiting.

Rate this book
Tethered In Blood is the beginning of a dark, visceral romantasy series about survival, trauma, mystery, monstrous magic, and the brutal, aching journey toward trust and love after devastation.

The Herbalist Must Bleed.

Eden survived horrors that should have broken her and left scars carved deep by betrayal, cruelty, and the monsters that once wore familiar faces. Hardened by a life spent surviving, she seeks a position as court herbalist at Aurelith's castle, hoping to bury her past beneath stone walls and royal orders.

But Aurelith is already dying.

Villages fall one by one to an unseen plague, cursed by creatures that shouldn't exist, and stitched from nightmares and blood. Outlawed magic, once meant to heal, festers and corrupts, warping everything it touches. Wherever Eden walks, darkness follows, and the monsters seem drawn to something hidden in her blood.

Oberon Sinclaire, a brooding half-Fae knight burdened by his own secrets, is assigned to protect her. His presence is a blade at her back, a dangerous tether Eden can't afford, yet can't bring herself to sever. Their bond awakens an ancient magic between them with every step into the darkness.

Together, they must uncover the truth behind the spreading curse before it consumes the kingdom. Yet as monsters claw through the cracks in reality, Eden must confront a far more terrifying

Survival isn't healing.

Sometimes the monsters inside are the hardest to escape.

And some fates are Tethered In Blood.

I don't know how I feel about this. On one hand, I didn't want to put it down, but on the other, I kept wanting to DNF it. It was interesting and I wanted to know what was going on with the curses that Eden/Quinn and Oberon were working to solve, but I also didn't care much about Eden and Oberon.

Overall, a 3.5-4 star read.
