Allie Family vacation with all the relatives was great, but by the time it was over, I was desperate for some alone time with my husband — or rather, my Sir, when he was in that kind of mood.
Luckily, he’d already been plotting something special for me with Dahlia. She was the Domme who’d taken us both under her wing. She was gorgeous and intimidating, like no other woman I’d ever met. Just being around her had me tied up in knots… in more way than one, if she and my Sir had their way.
Eric
Shibari. That’s what Dahlia called it, the Japanese art of rope bondage.
When she told me what she wanted us to do to my Allie, I was on board immediately. But if I said it was just to learn Shibari, I’d have been lying to myself.
Dahlia was a force to be reckoned with, and her magnetism pulled me in. My guts twisted with every text and lewd pic she sent, but it was more than just the excitement of what we were going to do to my wife.
Way more. I was in deep. But how was I going to tell Allie?
Untying the Knot
Erik and Allie worked hard to build a life they were proud of. It wasn’t easy, but by the time they reached their forties, they were content. Not just husband and wife, but also mother and father to three energetic boys. Unfortunately, that didn’t leave much time for each other.
This series is their journey to reinvent their intimacy by diving into the world of BDSM. Their love takes them on a year-long exploration of themselves and each other. Together, they navigate the ups and downs of self-discovery to untie the knot of suburban domesticity.
*Knotted*(Book 8, *Untying the Knot*) is a wonderful follow-up to *Shared* (Book 7, *Untying the Knot*). While *Shared* introduced the concept of sharing spouses, *Knotted* features the same couples and builds on their dynamic while exploring new and intriguing areas of BDSM. It presents several emotionally and physically challenging situations, all in the context of shared pleasure. It's a story about a couple pushing their boundaries and comfort zones together. I really appreciate how much emphasis is placed on research and understanding proper safety in these scenarios. There's always a section with helpful instructions, and all the best practices, safety tips, and background are thoughtfully included, creating a comfortable environment for their spicy adventures. I'm truly enjoying this series and look forward to seeing how Erik and Allie navigate their relationship, emotions, and curiosity moving forward.

I've really enjoyed this series of novellas, getting to walk this journey with Allie and Eric. In this one, emotions start to take a bit of a turn with Allie feeling some jealousy and discomfort.
This series is a nice mix of real relationship issues, a couple who generally communicates well, with a real good spicy scene or two!
Building on the earlier experiences tension starts to creep in the risks may be coming to the fore. The question of how the couple will deal with them is getting closer.
I absolutely loved this story. This story does a good job of continuing the series. I love how there is this major conflict that they have to overcome. I am so curious of how the series is progressing. It was a quick and easy and spicy read. I highly recommend.
OMG, I was absolutely head over heels for this series! 💖 I’m counting down the days until the next episode drops! 📅✨ This is definitely series is one of my top faves for 2025! 🎉📚
Knotted explores a different side of the "world" that we don't usually see in this genre. This entire series feels realistic, the characters themselves feel like real couples having legitimate feelings and adventures. I'm so excited to see where Allie and Erik go next, what happens with Dahlia and Ron. If Allie overcomes her fears or ends things entirely. 5 stars, 5 spicy peppers!
Knotted: One Married Couple's BDSM Journey is book eight in the Untying the Knot series, and this one feels like things are starting to carry a little more emotional weight. Like the earlier books, it’s a quick read, but there’s a tension running through it that feels different. Not chaotic. Not dramatic for the sake of it. Just layered.
This installment introduces shibari, and while the rope work is central, what stood out to me wasn’t the technique; it was the trust behind it. Being physically restrained requires vulnerability, but what really hit was the emotional vulnerability that starts creeping in alongside it.
Allie continues to grow in her confidence, but that growth doesn’t erase insecurity. I liked that. She can want something deeply and still feel uncertain at times. That balance makes her feel real. She isn’t suddenly fearless just because she’s further along in the journey.
Erik’s internal conflict adds another dimension here. His feelings aren’t brushed aside, and they aren’t exaggerated either. They’re handled in a way that shows how complicated it can be to explore new dynamics while still protecting the foundation of a long-term marriage.
What I continue to love about this series is that nothing happens without conversation. Even when emotions get tangled, communication is still the thread that keeps everything from unraveling. They pause, check in, and reassess. That consistency is what keeps making their dynamic believable.
The kids, the routines, the responsibilities; all of that still exists. Their life doesn’t disappear just because they’re exploring something new. They’re not escaping their reality; they’re intentionally carving space inside it.
Knotted feels like a reminder that growth in a marriage isn’t always smooth. Sometimes it’s exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. Sometimes trust stretches a little further than you expected. But as long as both people are willing to talk through it, it holds.
This series continues to show that intimacy evolves. It deepens. It gets complicated. And sometimes, that complication is part of the connection.
As always be mindful of trigger warnings, what I like you may not.
Up until now Allie and Erik’s exploration of BDSM has moved along mostly without a hitch, but their spicy little world gets knocked off balance when Erik catches feelings for one of their play partners.
Have loved this serIes from the start for it’s realism in portraying a long-married couple’s foray into the kinkier side of life. Now I’m not loving it for the same reason. When Dahlia opens a private chat with Erik, and he jumps in despite his gut telling him not to—major trust violation with Allie, I almost chucked my kindle across the room in frustration. But feelings happen, even the ones we don’t necessarily want. That’s life and we have to deal with it. Like I said, realism.
I can’t really comment on the accuracy of the rope work aspect of the story. The only thing I know about Shibari is that it’s Japanese, the knots are exquisitely detailed, and when done by a master they are beautiful to behold. But being tied up and/or strung up just isn’t my jam.
Another month, another great installment of this couple’s unfolding adventure. Looking forward to September.
I received a copy of this book via StoryOrigin and am leaving my review.
I forgot to review this one a couple of months ago, oops!
If I could use two words to describe this book it would be real and raw.
Up to this point Allie and Eric have crossed every hurdle, talked through every boundary, but what about when the unexpected happens. What happens then?
Someone has caught feelings, and the consequences could be fatal for the marriage these two have tried so hard to rekindle.
As for the Shibari that this book centers around, it is beautiful. It is described flawlessly without being overworked. Too often in this genre an author(s) will go out of their way to over describe a scene to prove their knowledge of a certain scene. It doesn't enhance the story; it just hurts it.
Logan and Skylar didn't. They executed the beauty perfectly and I was even more enthralled with the Japanese art than I was before.
Be sure to read the next book in the series to find out what happens when every emotion and feeling that has been building finally spills out.
I just can't say often enough, how much I LOVE this series. This is book 8 and Erik and Allie are really enjoying their time exploring the BDSM world. Dahlia and Ron have taken them into their world, and they are having an incredible time. I love how the boys are in their world and how they keep each of their lives separate. This is a fabulous series - I have loved every books so far - and book 8 is even better than book 7. Love Love Love
The title alone should tell you what this book is about. Allie and Erik explore sh1bari with the help of D0mme Dahlia and Ron of course. There are some things unfolding with Erik, little glances at Dahlia. What the h3ll is going on?
The series continues but all is no longer smooth sailing , complications are starting to creep in when he catches feeling for one of the play partners
This was another great book by logan and skylar the detail is brilliant and the the relism of how bringing exploration into your marriage/partnership isn't always certain brings a whole new element
Knotted is book 8 in the Untying The Knot series and should definitely be read in order. I am enamored by this interesting couple and their journey. Prepare for some steamy drama that will knot you up and tie you down and I can’t wait for more! I am jumping right into Clamped, the next book in the series!
Book 8 of the Untying the Knot has Allie and Erik are looking into the art of Shibari, the Japanese practice of rope bondage. They are again joined by Dahlia and Ron. It is another spicy book in the series. Unlike the rest of the series, in this book, the married couple may have a very real issue that could cause future problems. I anxiously await the next book in the series to see what will happen.
A must read book. Interesting well written book with relatable characters. Storyline moved at a good pace and was well written. Action packed scenes kept me glued to the pages. Multi layered characters whose journey together was amazing to follow along with.
Eric and Allie continue to explore another BDSM kink. Shibari. They are down for it with the help of Ron and Dahlia. But, it seems they have some complications. Feelings? Jealousy? Nerves?
Thanks for the ARC. I'm really enjoying this series.
The eighth book in the Untying The Knot series has Eric and Allie delving into the BDSM aspect of shibari. This continues to be a very entertaining series. What will happen next!?!
Things are getting complicated as Erik is having strong feeling for Dahlia and Allie is becoming jealous. During a Shabari scene Dahlia exerts her dominance and demands a very willing Erik give her oral in front of a tied-up Allie. Dahlia sees that Allie is distressed and demands she talk to her husband within 48 hours.
