Without a doubt, he’s the dad. His baby looks just like him and the math adds up. Now everything has changed.
When he comes for Gia, she has no choice, but to go with him. She knows he feels betrayed because she never told him they had a child together. Their dynamic is now different since she hid the secret from him and is basically his hostage. While staying together, Royce feels the attraction but he is angry with her. He fights it but he knows he still wants her. He isn’t going anywhere now that he knows they have a baby together. Will they be able to put the past behind them and start over? If the do, what will happen when his family finds out he’s sleeping with the enemy, let alone he has a kid with her??
Kira Cole took us back into a bloody mafia war. Some moments were hilarious with there banter. However, I also found myself crying. I felt bad for Gia and Royce and what they go through. They had amazing chemistry. It was emotional to see Royce trying to decide what was the right thing to do. His loyalty to his family is everything but now he has found his other family. What will he decide? All Gia wants is what is best for their child. This story was filled with humor, heat and so much action. The shocks didn’t stop until the very end. I was on the edge of my seat, I could not put the book down!!!

A thrilling and entertaining story that had me hooked from the very beginning to the beautiful ending.
Gia and Royce met and were in love just over 2 years ago but Royce finds out who Gia's family are, he couldn’t believe she lied about who she was and walked out. Royce's family are trying to set up a meeting with Noah (the head of Gia’s family) and Aiden (the head of Royce’s family)but Noah is not willing to attend any meeting, he has ignored the requests and has made himself scarce. Royce’s family decide the way to push Noah is to kidnap one of their enemies family members to force Noah to meet, Royce who has a deep hatred for Gia because of her lies about her name convinces Aiden that Gia will be the best person to kidnap and he will not only do it but be her jailer! When they kidnap Gia Royce is shocked to see he has a daughter who is 18 months old and looks exactly like him! He is incensed that Gia has kept his daughter from him, stolen the chance to have seen all of her firsts.
The intense sexual chemistry between Gia and Royce they had when they were initially together has not changed even in this situation.
Royce and Gia face drama, danger, betrayal, lies, guilt, plenty of steam but also Royce has joy of getting to know his daughter who he quickly comes to love.

This is the second book in the series. It follows Royce and Gia. They knew each other before and broke up for reasons they each had. Gia's half-brother is Royce's family's enemy, so they plan on taking her to get to him. The men they have following her are dense and don't realize and important fact, she has a child. It's not too difficult to figure out who the father is. The story takes off from there. They have to figure out how they are going to co-parent without constantly being in each other's face. Royce teaches his daughter some bad words. Aiden is a jerk, but Royce stands up to him. Ellie and Sean make an appearance. The jury is out on the rest of Gia's family. Traitors and Noah make things difficult. The one issue I have is in Ellie's story, Royce was more the leader, the alpha, and had a sense of humor. In this one he was different. He was angry, not a leader and was more a follower. Overall, the book was good, and the story flowed. The characters were fleshed out. The only thing I would have changed was Royce to be more like he was in Ellie's book, especially with how strong Gia was. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Underbelly of New York knows no bounds. Some have loyalty to family others only use what and who they can. Here it was no different. Noah Rinaldo had only himself to please and everyone else was collateral all except for his step niece Bianca. An innocent in a war between the Rinaldo and Lynde Mafia.
Gia is the younger step sister of Noah who also went by her mother’s maiden name. Her brief relationship with Royce altered due to a name.
Life here was playing a game of survival. Checkmate. Who will win admirably?
Royce is bitter @ Gia on how their relationship ended. All this could have been solved if discussed. But again ….. what’s in a name? Escape options, integrating ones self and pushing the other out, it was a tug of war.
Enough said. This was more family’s orientated with the usual Mafia background. Royce’s & Gia went through a lot to survive. It’s whats in between the lines one needs to read to fully understand the storyline.

This book is the second in the series that I have read. It continues the story of Gia and Royce, who were previously in a relationship. Royce's perception of Gia's betrayal led him to leave her. Now, Gia is caught up in Royce's vendetta against her brother Noah, who kidnapped and tortured his sister, her husband, and his brother. The two families have a long and complicated history. The narrative is filled with numerous ups and downs, keeping the reader engaged and eager for more. When Royce kidnaps Gia and her daughter, he is unaware that the child is his own until they meet. This discovery creates tension between Gia and Royce as he navigates his feelings towards her. However, one thing is clear: he will go to great lengths to protect them. The entire family comes together to safeguard the young child. The story concludes with a HEA, while leaving room for the next installment in the series.

Ooooooo so to be honest I struggled a bit with the first book in the series and the mmc/fmc chemistry. It’s found its footing but it was a tough go at first. Buuuuuut Gia and Royse! I loved the chemistry from go. Gia is spicy, driven, and talented. She’s under no delusions as to the sort of person her brother is and has been working her way out from under him for years! Royce is madly in love with her even if he tries to pretend he’s not. He wants to be angry with her and hate her for her choices but let’s be serious he understood all along. He will absolutely unalive anyone, and that means anyone, who comes for his girls.
I loved that they didn’t pretend the fmc was pious or virginal in her thinking and attitude.
I’m super excited to see more from her sister Zoe!!.

Cruel Secret is the second book in the Cruel Command series. Let me just say that there is a ALOT of cruelty in this book. However, some of it is not undeserved. The secrets kept were to save the life of the innocent and to give certain characters an opportunity to live life outside of the family crime syndicate. Gia and Royce find themselves in an untenable situation and have to make the best of it despite their families' differences, which could lead to their deaths.
The book is a page-turner that I read in just about one sitting. It is full of intense drama, romance, steaminess, suspense, a lot of sacrificing for the family, murder, mayhem, car chases, and more. Hopefully, book three leads another of the Lynde family members on the road to happily ever after. Cruel Secret most certainly did so!.

Edge of your Seat kind of Action...
Literally on the edge of my seat for most of this story... Kira Cole writes mafia and suspense like very few others, and the action is A-plus.
Gia holds out so long, despite her feelings for Royce, because there's some history between the two of them. Some miscommunication, things left unsaid, secrets kept by both, not to mention their families, are mafia enemies.
When it comes to Gia's family, though, there's no love lost, but with Royce, there is still love there, and a very special reason for them to try to find a way to become a couple again.
This book is action-packed with enough steamy heat to keep you locked in for the entirety of the story. Book 1 of this Cruel Command series was also a fantastic read, and Book 2, Cruel Secret, did not disappoint!.

This is the 2nd story in the Cruel Command Series where Royce is tasked with taking Gia from a rival family as leverage. His family has no idea of their past so when Gia is faced with seeing Royce in her home he sees a little girl, to his shock, his daughter. Gia ends up going with Royce willingly and their journey to escape her crazy brother and the war is full of danger, secrets, crazy chemistry, facing their past and a growing love. The anger over Gia’s secret makes it hard for Royce to trust Gia but with their undeniable feelings towards each other things get complicated quickly. This is book two in the Cruel Command series. I loved the first book and I loved this one even more! These mafia men in this series are sizzlin!
Gah! Captivated from the start! I just adored Gia and Royce’s story. So many emotions. Swooning one min and crying over them the next. Their intense chemistry could heat the pages. Between the tension in their relationship, the danger lurking, the action happening all around and then their steamy scenes, I couldn’t put the book down.

Gah! Captivated from the start! I just adored Gia and Royce’s story. So many emotions. Swooning one min and crying over them the next. Their intense chemistry could heat the pages. Between the tension in their relationship, the danger lurking, the action happening all around and then their steamy scenes, I couldn’t put the book down.

I loved this very much and I'm so glad that I read this, especially after reading Cruel Vows. I liked both Gia and Royce and they complimented each other nicely and then add a baby to the mix, and my heart just melted for these two. The chemistry, heat and banter between them is so good in all the best ways.
Their support to each other and willingness to compromise and work through challenges together for their child won me over and they went through a lot for their HEA.
This is an enemies-to-lovers steamy mafia romance with a secret baby and it's certainly a page-turner. I'd recommend this to all.

Wow brilliant book. Not an unusual subject but definitely handled originally.
Gia and Royce had a short moment a while ago but when he is sent out on a hit, they meet again and he discovered her secret.
Danger and a fantastic story. This plot sure did grab me from the very start. I loved Gia even though she had secrets, she could still melt Royce's heart. Both stubborn and leading lives that hold danger and secrets but he still wants her.
They had a chemistry built up from the past and present. So well done. I loved these two and held hope they worked it out. So good I want more!!.

This second book continues the plot of Kira Cole’s Cruel Command series. She doesn’t an amazing job at continuing the plot while changing the POV to a new couple! Loved Royce and Gia’s story! There was such a great mix of relationship tension, non-stop action and steamy romance! Just goes to show that second chances can happen in the most unexpected way!

This is a new author for me. I am recovering from surgery and took all kinds of different books hoping to find some new authors and I did that with this book. I bought and read Secret Vows and loved it, so this was a no brainer. This story stars Royce and Gia and you can’t help but root for this couple. There is a whole range of emotions from heartbreak to joy. Any story with secrets always has many as secrets always show up when you least expect them too. At first, Gia’s secret from Royce cost her their relationship but a few years later he finds out there was more.

Cruel Secret is the second book in the Cruel Command series. It's a dark Mafia enemies to lovers romance. Royce has a plan but is his thirst for revenge going to get the better of him? All Gia wants is to get enough money to take her daughter far away from the dangerous life they are surrounded by. Unfortunately things don't always turn out they way you planned. This story is full of love, hate, betrayal, heartache, danger and lots of spice!! Fantastic addition to the series. Can't wait to see what comes next!!!.

I loved this book! Royce and Gia’s story is such a great story. It’s ugly and heartbreaking, and also beautiful!
Secrets always have a way of coming to light. And they always do so at the worst times. When Gia kept secrets from Royce, it cost her their relationship. Two years later, Royce realizes there was one more she kept from him, but this one may be unforgivable.
I really liked Gia and Royce. I do think she should have been honest from him, especially after learning about Bianca. Royce should have also introduced Gia to his family back when he thought she would be his forever.
There was plenty of charged chemistry between them, action, and suspense to keep me glued to this story!
I loved Skyla! She was a total b@d@$$ and I can not wait for her story!.
