There are some places even a demon fears to tread...
When Benny’s friend disappears, he comes to me, asking me to investigate an organization dedicated to helping the homeless. Benny suspects that something is desperately wrong.
As we dive in, we discover that the organization has changed names over the decades, and every time they surface, dozens of those they claim to help have vanished without a trace. All signs point to some nefarious paranormal activity.
Meanwhile, we agree to cleanse a haunted house and, in the process, make a discovery that turns my world upside down forever.

This one started out with Kyann doing a favor for a sort of friend, sort of contractor that works for her. This ended up being more than she thought and didn't get resolved. With it morphing into more, I have a feeling this will be a larger story arc that will take a bit to resolve. I do love how everyone at the agency is just as worried about things as she is. It will be fun to see them figure things out and take down the bad guys.
The other case they worked on brought them to a haunted house where Kyann ended up learning more about her family. It was weird in many ways. I did like how this part of Kyann's learning about family went, so much better than the other part she learned.
That second part about Kyann's family is a hot mess. It will be interesting to see what Kyann does. I know she wants answers, but I'm hoping she tells them all to stuff it.

" Shadow Running , " is yet another huge win for Yasmine Galenorn . I pulled an all nighter to read this page turner , although I probably shouldn't at my age , lol ! Suspense , scary homes , twists and turns , and just when I thought I was used to them , something new would come rocketing through like a hurricane . Love everything about this series !
Another absolutely mind blowing plot! I enjoyed the twists and turns, though, so many at the end. Almost too much for my brain. Lol. I would have liked a little follow up on one situation in particular, but I'm sure I just need too be patient. Thanks again for another amazing book Ms. Galenorn!
This book pulled me in from the very first page as always. I loved the way the plot unfolded--especially the investigation into the shady charity and the haunted house thread. I love the found family Kyann has with her friends/co workers...especially Penn and Dante. I love the mix of supernatural mystery, gritty urban fantasy, and emotional depth.
Shadow Running is an incredibly great addition to Yasmine Galenorns Shadow Blade series. No one is as good as Yasmine when it come to Paranormal Fantasy. I highly recommend this book and series.
A lot to unpack with this book but like always, the main storyline continues forward but the side quests are wrapped up. I am excited to see what happens now that we know more and how this will shape our characters. I don't want to spoil anything so enjoy!
