Nothing predictable about the next plot twists. ★★★★★ I'm off to read the next in the series. Tarr has a unique mind and his stories are very entertaining.
More impressed with James Tart with every book and article he does.
Another "up till 4am pages turner"! Very hard to put down. Editing is outstanding, details are spot on, lots of work and hard-earned experience gaining hand on knowledge of tactics and hardware is evident. On top of all that Tart is a rammed good writer and story teller. I rate his work right there with Stephen Hunter, Tom Clancy and WEB Griffin. Throw the Jack Reacher author in the mix too. Excellent work!
An exciting, whorlwind race of fiction mixed with healthy doses of reality aptly describes James Tarr's Splashback. I believe his protagonists' actions and reactions are what a reader would like to claim for themselves if we were able to respond to the issues developed in Mr. Tarr's fertile imagination. I'm looking forward to enjoying reading the rest of Mr. Tarr's offerings .
Could easily happen in real life. We all have true friends. enough said.
Read the story line and could it happen in real life, why not. With the stupid stuff going on, regular people have mentally and physical capabilities as.some government agencies. Sometimes, complexity is out of line, KISS ,keep it simple stupid.does work sometimes.
While appearing to start slow and in a non linear way, the pace soon increases and captures you in a page turner with just the right level of detail to give realism and plausibility. The characters and actions are consistent with the previous story so their evolution seems natural - an achievement in itself.
This was a very hard to put down read. The characters are continued from the first novel in this series, and are excellent. The gun handling and the fight scenes are wonderfully crafted. The story is exciting and excellent.
