Angel and devil brought together by accident. Sparks fly, and moans reverberate through their bedroom, but…neither one knows who they are to each other and what that means for them. A deep secret lingers beneath, both of them oblivious to the consequences once it surfaces.
Roman I lived in the shadows of the Bratva, consumed by money, sex, and darkness. But when she landed in my arms—bleeding and broken—she destroyed every rule I lived by. Isla was my angel. My good girl. My salvation. But nothing could prepare me for the secret that would ruin us both.
Isla He was danger wrapped in dominance, beauty, and sin. He was a big, bad man and I was a small, good girl, desperately trying to cling onto life. He was darkness; I was light. And he turned out to be everything I never knew I needed. I was addicted. Depraved. Consumed. But when the truth shook me awake, I was forced to make an impossible choice.
Destined For The Devil is the second standalone in the interconnected Bratva Sinners Series.
R. Alexander loves to write about bad men. Mafia men, to be exact. But all their power, all their ego, all their authority comes crashing down when they meet that one woman who brings them down to their knees. Power plays, mistakes, drama, plot twists, sacrifices, back arching spice - R Alexander's books will have you binging, screaming, laughing, and crying late into the night.
"Get on your knees.” He said that to another girl while the FMC was at his house. He comforted her, hugged her, then went and fuxked another girl and proceeded to think about the FMC while doing it. Absolutely not. I understand they aren’t together yet, but this is just so icky. I don’t want to read about the main characters sleeping with other people. DNF @ 10%
WTF??? He fucked another woman, twice. The second time, she was there. He asked her to come and watch. I know they were not together yet but NOBODY LIKES A MAN HOE.
I was so excited to read this. I really did.
Men are already upsetting us irl and now I’m upset with fictional men too because this is a big turn off.
I really wanted to like this one. The pacing is fast, but every other sentence is punctuated with “fuck,” which quickly becomes distracting.
And then there’s Sergei. The comment about raping the FMC and the MMC brushing it off because “he’s been through shit” absolutely lost me. What in the misogynistic hell was that? Afterwards he explains that he had a wife and kids and he never thought of him that way - he never reacts to that comment. Also the cheating moment where he thinks about the FMC. Ick. Dark romance can explore brutality, yes, but it must also offer weight nuance and accountability. None of that is present here.
There is a story somewhere beneath all this and the potential is there however the the delivery isn’t.

This is the second standalone book in the Bratva Sinners Series from the amazing R Alexander.
This book is naughty, nice and everything spice!! I absolutely DEVOURED this page by page. Isla and Roman take you on a wild ride of love, heat and deceit. Wild spins and turns only the Mafia could bring you on
Bad boy x good girl Daddy kink Age gap CNC Opposites attract Bondage Ride or die FMC Grumpy x sunshine Plot twists with spice Romantic suspense
Sometimes, it’s not the story or plot that makes you ache when a book ends. It’s what it made you feel while you’re reading it.
When I read Tsar’s Obsession, it felt raw and real, like flipping through someone’s private journal. But Destined for the Devil… it felt like listening to a man pour his entire heart out. Telling me, with happiness drawn across his face and honest eyes, just how deep and consuming his love runs. The whole time, I imagined sitting across from Roman, watching his eyes light up as he talked about Isla, the love of his life.
A feared man in the bratva, far from kind or gentle but sheds that part of himself and becomes a 16 year old boy, all soft smiles and wide eyes for her, so in love.
Their love is gentle but fiery, alive, and beautifully messy. It’s electric, wild and consuming yet rooted so deeply within them it’s eternal. It grows. It blossoms.
Everything about this book is perfection. Their inner monologue is insanely funny, the storytelling feels real & relatable, the romance is addictive & the plot is balanced with emotion, tension & pay off.
But the character growth? PHENOMENAL. When love that deep finds you, it changes everything. They’d do & be anything to keep their hearts with each other.
Roman & Isla’s love story wasn’t just passion. It was transformation. Two souls colliding, breaking and rebuilding each other in the most breathtaking way. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE.
🚨 Note: This book contains mature content. Please go through the trigger warnings. Read with discretion.
I sinned SO HARD for Roman and he slid his way onto my book boyfriend list, the filthy Devil. Isla is someone we all either wish she was our friend or we could be her.
I LOVE a book where there is betrayal, redemption, huge growth and when I can go from hating a character to wishing I was best friends with them. Better yet, we met some characters from The Tsar’s Obsession!
I loved the representations in this book including BD5M, mental health & grief. I love when consent, discussing likes and dislikes and being body positive is written into stories and this was done so well!
"Destined For The Devil" is a super read and I have to say I absolutely adored the second book of the Bratva Sinners Series. As someone who really enjoys dark mafia romances and adored ‘The Tsars Obsession’ I was excited for this and once again R Alexander hit all the right notes for me. The story pulls you in right away. Our FMC, Isla, is a young woman who has been through so much tragedy, you can't help but ache for her. She's sweet and innocent but you quickly see she has a resilient spirit! Which we all need with these Bratva men! And then there's Roman. He is the perfect dark, possessive MMC. He's older, powerful, covered in tattoos and part of the Bratva, so he's all kinds of dangerous and of course obsessed.. We love our Bratva men completely obsessed with their women! He's definitely a "morally gray" man but seeing his tender, protective side come out only for her was just fantastic. If you love an age gap trope this is for you, and their chemistry is just off the charts! Oh and let's just say this book is very spicy. It’s an intense, emotional and steamy read that I just couldn't put down... my favourite type of read! If you love a good Bratva romance with a strong, obsessed men and a sweet FMC, you will definitely enjoy this book. I'm already looking forward to the next one in the series!
4⭐️ 4🌶️ Bratva/mafia Bad boy x good girl Age gap Dom/sub Suspenseful Super spicy 🥵
“She looked like an angel, and I looked like I just climbed out of hell.”
The first half of this book was a spicy adventure, and the second half was packed with suspense and twists. This book was a wild ride from start to finish. I am not usually a fan of the insta love trope but let me tell you, Roman is a an irresistible MMC. He is all brute but will crawl on his knees for his girl. I loved Isla’s character and how her story unfolded. If you are looking for your next mafia read look no further!
“At the same time, we both knew the truth: she may have been physically weaker, but she held all the power over me. She had me wrapped around her little finger, and she had all of me. All my love, all my power, all my loyalty. My future. If she walked out of that door and out of my life, I would never be able to move on. Never be able to survive.”
I didn’t just love her; I was consumed by her. Obsessed. I wanted to serve her. To give her everything she’d ever desired, to be everything for her. My whole life before her didn’t matter to me anymore. All I cared about was her and a future where she was mine.
ARC Review ✨ First I would like to say a big thank you to R.Alexandar for letting me be apart of this ARC Team! Rate: 4/5⭐️ Spice: 3/5🌶️
What to expect when reading Destined for the Devil; -Opposites Attract -Good Girl x Bad Boy -Grumpy x Sunshine -Age Gap -Bratva
This is book two of the Bratva Sinners series! You get to follow Roman and Isla, and their rollercoaster of a story! I enjoy when a man is so obsessed with his girl and that describes Roman perfectly. Isla is such a baddie! I loved her fiery attitude and the way she lit up his dark world. I was so not ready for the different plot twist this story had. But when you have two strong headed please and explosive love when can you expect lol
Side notes: -clothes shopping

Daddy Roman is homeeeee, I ate this book up like it was nothing. It was such an emotional roller coaster especially the last 30% the angst oh my
The chemistry and banter with these two were amazing, Roman burnt Isla building down, she wasn’t suppose to be in there so he takes her in as a “good citizen” that found her.
Roman is an asshole straight up lmao and has done bad things but he does not play about Isla at all. He’s such a softie for her and only her it was amazing.
These two just love each other so much even after they spent time apart, they still loved each other no matter what. he cried and begged for her forgiveness after they both found out something
Isla oh my sweet Isla, she has been through so much and such little time. I love how she stood on business after what she found out and needed time apart from that situation. I love her so much
I love how they both grew as people and the twists and turns that kept happening was oh my, I cried and laughed. The spice in this book was definitely hitting.
This series just keep getting better and better and I can’t wait for more!
🖤 what to expect -Bratva -Age Gap -Secrets and Lies -Bad Boy x Good Girl -Dark Romance -Dom/Sub -Ride or Die FMC -Opposites Attract -Daddy Kink
The chemistry between Roman and Isla is everything, so beautiful and intense. This book has all the good stuff like good girl and bad boy, ride or die FMC, obsessed and protective MMC, age gap, and a daddy kink that came so naturally.
Roman falls first and hard, and chapters 21 and 22 were pure heat 🥵. I really love how the author wrote about Isla’s grief and family loss, and how Roman dealt with losing his sister. It was handled with so much care and emotion. Their f*ck it moment was absolutely beautiful.
The plot twist completely took me by surprise. It is safe to say R Alexandra is the queen of plot twists. You have to read it to know.
This is a 4.75 star read for me and I highly recommend it.
I got an early ARC because I am part of the author’s street team (somebody say perks). Thank you to the author for this beautiful ARC.
This was a whirlwind of a read & I absolutely loved it! Although, there definitely was a rollercoaster of emotions!! Roman & Isla’s story was just so good, I really enjoyed the internal monologue’s of each MC. In particular, Isla’s initial reactions to Roman 🤭
I’m not going to sugar coat it, Roman is a bad man & he’s done some terrible things as have his associates but… he’s desperately craving a woman for the first time in his life & he doesn’t know what the heck to do about it. Their banter was so much fun & considering his ‘number’, his restraint was positively admirable!
All in all it has just the right ingredients for a hot & spicy dark romance so definitely worth a read. And, it’s caused me to add a Moka Pot to my Christmas list, so here’s hoping 🤭
I was so excited when I got this one, and I finally read it. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!
Roman and Isla have officially entered my list of favorite couples. Roman is so down bad bad bad… like realllyyyy bad for Isla. He’s such a simp and since I do love a simp, of course, I love Roman so much. He’s cuteeee!! YOU HAVE TO READ IT and you’ll see what I’m talking about. He cries, he begs, he’s everything!!!!!
Isla is sassyyyyy and I love her! Her interactions with Roman are top notch. She always has something to say and she’s never awkward. Idk what to say anymore guys, you should just read it<3333
As with Tsar's Obsession, once I started I couldn't put this book down.
R. Alexander does such an amazing job developing both Roman and Isla. I became so quickly invested in the two of them. I loved their non-traditional "encounter" and how he took her in. These two, once they were in close proximity, all bets are off. The spice is spicyyy. I'm also an absolute sucker for a grumpy, alpha-type, broody, protector, dom MMC... so hello Roman. And Isla, she's no damsel, so is strong and self assured.
This book had me flipping pages (metaphorically of course, I read this on my iPad) so fast and getting hit left and right with secrets and surprises.
If you love forced proximity, age gap, hot spice, kink, bratva, grumpy-sunshine, and plot twists you'll love this!
I've been excited to read this book since the Tsars Obsession and it did not disappoint 😍
Roman and Isla's love story is incredible, two souls meet, break and rebuild in the most beautiful way. Love this deep changes everything and you will do anything to keep it ❤️
Roman is a filthy devil who I immediately added to my book boyfriend list 🫠 he's dark, possessive, older, powerful, tattooed and part of the Bratva - swoon 🖤
The chemistry is off the charts!!The spice is spicy!! 🌶🔥🥵 please check the trigger warnings but then dive in and devour this very dark romance - you won't regret it!!
Thank you R.Alexander for letting me be on your ARC team again 💕 I can't wait for the next book
Wow. Another book filled to the brim. The betrayal, pain, love, and intimacy are all a cup overflowing for the imagination. And when all is said and done, the book will leave you on a high as it ends. R. ALEXANDER is now one of my favorite Bratva Writers, I can't wait for more... the stories turn into intense journeys with hot, spicy, and racy encounters. I can't get enough...
Tropes: Bratva/Mafia • Age Gap • Ride-or-Die FMC • Daddy kink • Light CNC • Dual POV • Bad Boy x Good Girl
Characters Amazing growth. They are imperfect, emotional, raw, and unapologetic about it. And yet, they aren’t whiny or just childish.
They are simply... real. They have trauma and they're both inexperienced with love, but they learn to communicate and grow together.
Plot Wow. The twists. Multiple of them.
I am usually really good at figuring out where the story is going, but this one kept me on my toes, and it all made sense in hindsight.
Final thoughts If you want to grin, kick your feet, yell at fictional characters, get steamy, cry, AND feel like you're in an international spy film... this is for you 💕

Minor Spoiler/Content Warning Below
I will address something below that was mentioned in another review where the reader DNF-ed. I want to add my own perspective and some additional context that I think could influence the right reader considering this book.
There are two tropes that are usually instant icks for me: 1. When the MMC sleeps with someone else after meeting the FMC. 2. Miscommunication/lack of communication.
I want my MMC to be OBSESSED with the FMC from the very beginning. He should never even look at another woman.
Now. Having said that. I must admit that it actually worked in this case.
Somehow, R. Alexander worked some voodoo magic and managed to accomplish both... Roman never looking at another woman and him having sex with another woman. Literally.
Note that this only happens before the MC's are together. It does happen twice.
It’s not sexy or romanticized. It's gross, it's sad, and it shows Roman’s emotional immaturity and his self-destruction. The first time, he is actively fighting his attraction to Isla. He tries (and fails) not to imagine her while he's doing it and that becomes the only way he can "finish"; he literally can't look at the woman he's with.
The second time, well, it's a different energy, but still not out of interest in another woman. He admits he's acting like a lunatic and self-sabotaging, because he doesn't know how to handle his feelings for Isla. He immediately regrets it and feels gross, claws his skin off in the shower, and hates himself.
This is why I say... he does manage to stay obsessed with her from the start. And it genuinely adds to his character growth.
The second trope I dislike (miscommunication/lack of communication) is short-lived and actually fits both characters’ emotional inexperience. Instead of dragging the story down, it showed how they learned to talk and trust each other, which added to their growth and made their connection feel earned.
In Summary While these tropes usually make me tap out, here they worked.
I think that’s a testament to the author’s writing.
Every uncomfortable moment felt intentional, not gratuitous.
Roman Mafia boss, violent, possessive, dangerously handsome, powerful, ruthless, emotionally detached, calls himself a "monster" but treats her differently, dominant, territorial, obsessed without admitting it.
Isla traumatised, guarded, but not weak, has spine-pushes back when he tries to control her, soft, broken, but unintentionally seductive in her vulnerability, innocent but not naïve-she notices everything about him.
What will happen when they meet ? How will their story develop ? Will they end up together ?
Roman and Isla how should I describe them like I don’t even have words for that. Their dynamic like one is dominant where other one is soft defiant. He wants to protect her and destroy anyone who touched her including himself.
While reading this book I felt every emotions. From the starting of this book I was speechless. Like I couldn’t form a word. The way their story was written like it’s perfect. When I’ve got my hands on this book I didn’t waste any second and directly dive into it like. This book took away all the oxygen from my lungs. Like I was sweating and became a mess. The way Roman use his DADDY tone makes me weak from the knees 🙈. I was panting for air while reading. Also did not see the plot twist coming like this 👀. You’ll be thinking how can something be like this. And also there’s a surprise which will everyone gonna love it I’m damn sure 🫣. And those spicy scenes can we talk about that. Like what the hell was those 🥵. All those teaser and waiting was worth it. I literally devoured this book and I’m not even feeling a bit guilty. I’m in love with this book 😍😍.
Ps : please note that some of us got early arc’s because we are in R street team. Official arc’s will go out to those who’s been selected on 23rd October. So no need to panic !!
Pss: I’ll post my favourite quotes once arc’s go out to everyone 🙈.
R as usual you rocked with this book. Like whatever you promised you delivered more then that. I can’t even complain even if I want to cause you wrote it so well. Thank you for yet another masterpiece of yours 🤍. Can’t wait to see what you’ve stored for us in the future 👀
Roman and Isla’s story gripped me from page one and didn’t let go. He’s the Bratva boss, dangerous, possessive, and consumed by darkness, and she’s the soft yet strong angel who brings light into his world. Their chemistry is explosive and addictive.
What starts as a mistake, a flaw in his plan, ends in obsession. Roman burns down a building to avenge his sister, never realizing there’s an innocent woman inside. Isla had already lost her family; this was supposed to be her fresh start. But that fire took even that away. Suddenly, she’s left with nothing and nowhere to go… until the very man responsible for her loss, against all logic, asks her to stay in his house as long as she wants. The devil who destroyed her world becomes her reluctant savior, and she becomes the angel who makes him want to be better in this darkness.
From reluctant housemates to something far deeper, they fall into a rhythm neither expects. She cooks for him, challenges him, and refuses to be intimidated. He protects her, worships her, and would burn the world if it meant keeping her safe. But secrets never stay buried. When the truth surfaces, love collides with guilt, betrayal, and impossible choices.
I absolutely loved Isla. She might be the “good girl,” but she’s strong, defiant, and refuses to be controlled. And Roman… darkness wrapped in devotion: dangerous, loyal, and completely undone by her.
This book had everything: suspense, groveling, betrayal, loyalty, love, grief, secrets, and spice that could melt the pages. Over 550 pages of tension and emotion and not a single dull moment!
The only thing that didn’t work for me personally was the daddy kink (it’s just not my thing). But even then, I couldn’t stop reading.
R. Alexander, you did it again. Thank you for this early ARC. What a ride!!! Highly recommended to anyone who loves dark romance with depth, danger, and a powerful emotional punch.
Destined for the Devil - R Alexander ARC Review 4.5⭐️ 4🌶️
Can we first talk about this delicious cover?!?? MY GOODNESS!!! 🥵
R. Alexander does it again bringing steam, spice, and crazy plot twits to another unforgettable Bratva story.
The tragedy that plagued both Roman & Isla past lives was brought to the forefront where it nearly destroys everything they had built. But one thing you can’t say about a Bratva man is that he is not determined and that he won’t get what he wants in the end..no matter how much groveling he has to do.
The true masterpiece in this book was how every single character evolved and developed into a better person than when they started..well almost everyone. 😒 There were a couple that got what was coming to them but Isla & Roman - HOLY EVOLVING! There were some pretty messed up secrets revealed and they conquered each one and became better for it.
Besides the exceptional “daddy” &” angel” scenes 🥵🔥, the banter and the inner monologue was hilarious! The storyline kept me on the edge of my seat up until the end! Every twist & turn that took place I didn’t see coming! 😳 Just when you think the waters are calm - JOKES ON YOU!
Destined for the Devil is an intoxicating blend of danger, desire, and devastating secrets.
R. Alexander delivers exactly what the title promises: a dark, age-gap Bratva romance that pulls you into the shadows and refuses to let go. Destined for the Devil is not just about mafia power plays, it’s about the collision of vulnerability and ruthlessness, the way love can both save and destroy.
Roman is the quintessential Bratva antihero: cold, commanding, and consumed by darkness until Isla crashes into his world, she’s bleeding, broken, and impossibly angelic. Their chemistry is immediate, explosive, and laced with the kind of forbidden tension that makes every page burn. Isla’s innocence and strength balance Roman’s brutality, but the looming secrets between them keeps you on edge, waiting for the inevitable fallout.
What I loved most is how Alexander layers the romance with emotional complexity. This isn’t just spice (though there’s plenty of that, and it’s deliciously intense); it’s about fate, sacrifice, and the dangerous allure of surrendering to someone who shouldn’t be yours. The age-gap dynamic adds another layer of forbidden temptation, and the Bratva component ensures the stakes are always life-or-death.
If you crave grumpy/sunshine tension, age-gap forbidden love, mafia darkness with a beating heart and secrets that can shatter everything then this book will absolutely devour you.
Alexander’s writing is sharp, addictive, and unapologetically bold. I binged this in one sitting, torn between swooning and screaming at the twists. By the end, I was wrecked in the best way, aching for more of Roman and Isla’s dangerous, destined love.
A huge thank you to R. Alexander for the early copy!
What a book 🧎♀️🥵 What a couple! This was absolutely hawt, dark, and kinky. Roman and Isla kept me on my toes and impatient to turn the page 😏 Their chemistry and obsession is breathtaking 🫦 R Alexander, thank you so much for the ARC 🥹 Your stories are incredible!
Roman Agapov 🔥 When I mean obsessed and completely in love, I mean Roman 😏 Tall, handsome, billionaire, in the mafia, tattooed, touch her and die, obsèssed, protective, older, possessive, reformed player, unhinged, kinky, wants to fulfill all her dreams, supportive, sunshine only to her, loves to spoil her, and won't let her go 🫦 His woman literally fell into his arms and he was obsessed within a second. He surprises himself, by offering her a place to stay 😏 Oh and he loves to grovel! He is so sweet and loving towards Isla that he made me sob. There is nothing he wouldn't do for her and he proves that with every chapter!
Isla Barrington 🔥 When a woman doesn't feel shy to make him beg 😏 Isla had him running circles around her 🤭 and she frickin loved it! Beautiful, intelligent, sassy, fierce, sunshine, protective, confident, touch him and die, kinky, rich, brave, loves to see him beg and lose his mind, equally obsessed with this man, will do anything for him and won't let him be alone ❤️ Isla is such a strong and feisty fmc! She had me cackling and snorting 🤭 She is incredibly brave. She's so loving towards Roman, especially when he least expects it. There is just something about her and them that had me hooked.
I need more 😩 This couple is everything! The spice was absolutely sizzling and so hawt, I couldn't stop blushing and fanning myself. R Alexander 😈😈🔥 Gawd Dayum !! I need more books from you 🥹
This book hooked me from page one and refused to let go. This story is a perfect mix of danger, desire, and that addictive Bratva intensity that keeps your pulse racing. Isla’s character pulled me in immediately — she’s soft, sweet, and carrying more scars than she lets on, yet there’s this quiet resilience in her that makes you root for her every step of the way.
Roman, on the other hand, is every shade of dark you expect from a morally grey Bratva kingpin, possessive, intimidating, and the kind of man who’d burn down the world for the woman he claims. Their chemistry is explosive in the best way, and the emotional tension between them makes every moment feel heightened.
The book balances spice and suspense so well that you never feel like one overshadows the other. The second half especially ramps up the twists and danger, and watching Roman’s ruthless exterior crack only for Isla was incredibly satisfying.
However — and this is the reason I knocked off one star — I personally struggled with the scene where the MMC sleeps with another woman ~while the FMC is literally in the same house~ (No cheating trope). For a relationship built on obsession and devotion, that moment just didn’t sit right with me.
Still, the story overall is gripping, dramatic, and sinfully addictive. If you love age gaps, dark mafia dynamics, and a MMC who will crawl through hell for his girl, this one belongs on your list.
Tropes: Opposites attract Bratva Bondage Age gap Grumpy X sunshine CNC
R. Alexander hit it out of the park, again! Thank you so much for gifting me this ARC! Destined For the Devil is a dual POV Bratva romance. It is the second book in the Bratva Sinners Series and follows Roman and Isla as they explore their relationship while dealing with their personal griefs. It takes place at around the same time as The Tsar's Obsession.
I loved the relationship that blossomed between Roman and Isla. I'm not a huge fan of the insta-love trope, but it 100% works in this book. Roman is so deeply in love with Isla and Isla with him, it's beautiful. Isla is delightfully unhinged, and I'm here for it! R. is amazing at writing intense emotions, you literally go on the emotional roller coaster with the characters. And the twist! I knew it was coming, but it was not who I expected it to be, and I loved it! Also, an FMC who loves the Backstreet Boys? Yes please!
This book was so well written and full of emotion. Bring snacks when you sit down to read this, because you won't be getting back up until it's done.
5 out of 5 stars 5 out of 5 spicy peppers Memorable line: “...you will forever be it for me.The beginning. The middle. The end.” Read this if you like: Bratva, billionaire, bad boy x good girl, dom/sub, he falls first, possessive protector, age gap, daddy, HEA F*ck appears: 1003 times Spicy chapters: 6, 12, 19, 20, 21, 23, 25, 29, 30, 42, 43, 44, 47, 48, 50, epilogue
Roman is exacting revenge on the guy who murdered his and this event lead him to Isla. While he was watching the building burn thinking no one else was there he could see a woman trying to escape the building. He rescues her and brings her back to his apparent. Isla lost everything in the fire and Roman feels guilty about it something he’s not used to. He keeps it a secret that he’s in the Russian Mafia from Isla. When he starts putting Isla above his men, when he starts defending her he realises she has worked her way into his heart. He never had anyone care for him before. In his eyes he was a monster not deserving of love and Isla showed that he was. Isla like Roman also had a tragedy in her life and she had forgotten about love until he came into her life, she was protecting her heart as much as she wanted him after all she has been through. Isla becomes everything to Roman and because of the world he comes from he’s afraid he’d loose her, she became the light in his darkness. Roman awakened a side of Isla she did not recognise, she belong to him now, he was all she ever wanted. He is willing to sacrifice his life for her.
This is the first book I’ve read by @ralexanderauthor I love the relationship of Roman and Isla how he becomes obsessed with her and protects her and how they both bought each other out of their darkness. For she was his Angel and he was her Devil 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Destined for the Devil grabbed me from the very first page and refused to let go. Roman and Isla’s story is the perfect collision of darkness and light, danger and innocence, sin and salvation—and I devoured every second of it.
Roman is the kind of morally grey, Bratva-carved antihero who destroys your sanity in the best ways. He’s dominance, control, and danger personified… yet the moment Isla falls—literally—into his arms, something in him shatters. And watching this hardened man unravel for the one woman he should never want? Addicting. Utterly addicting.
Isla is his perfect opposite—soft, good, aching for a life she barely has the strength to hold onto. But her resilience, her spark, her quiet strength pulled me in just as fiercely as she pulls Roman in. Their chemistry is explosive. Their connection is magnetic. Their bedroom scenes? Earth-shattering.
But what truly hooked me was the secret simmering beneath their connection—something neither of them sees coming, something that threatens to burn their fragile salvation to the ground. When that truth hits… it changes everything. My heart was in my throat.
This book is dark, dangerous, emotional, and intoxicating in the way only the best morally grey romances are. I was obsessed. I was ruined. And I’m already craving more.
If you love angels falling for devils, forbidden ties, explosive chemistry, and secrets sharp enough to cut—this is your next obsession.
“Isla was every single sweet thing the world possessed. She was fire and heat—letting me wrap myself in her warmth. She was laughter and silliness, uplifting my dark soul with her voice and sweet spirit. She was a vixen in my bedroom, gifting me pleasure I hadn’t known existed.“ Running from her past, Isla finds herself with stress that is really unwarranted. Not only did she barely escape her apartment while it burnt to a crisp, she now needs to recover from injuries caused when she fled the burning building. However, destiny seems to be on her side because the man that saved her has offered to help her. Roman's desire to help Isla geso further than just helping the helpless girl he saved... from the building he set on fire. Every day that goes by the pull between Roman and Isla is becoming harder and harder to fight. Finding out Roman is in the Russian Mafia was hard enough. But when the truth about her past comes to the surface can she turn her back on the only man who's ever loved her or will she believe that destiny brought them together for a reason?
Holy 5-star..... ROMAN IS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF. This man is more than a book boyfriend, he is book HUSBAND material. The dedication he has for Isla is truly magical. While it seems that Isla's world is slowly falling apart, Roman is more than happy to be her strength and give her everything. Isla is pure and honest and everything this Bratva man needs. Roman has one of the filthiest mouths but Isla?! She is right there with him! I think I laughed and cried in the same chapter, which is exactly what I want. 10/10 would recommend! This dark mafia romance had me in a chokehold right from the beginning.
Bratva Romance, Good Girl x Bad Boy, Darkness x Light, SPICY AF, 1st person, dual POV
I don't know where to begin, but I'm surprised by the number of 5-star reviews, though I'm happy for the author. I really struggled to get into the story. I considered giving up because it was just too boring and shallow. The first few chapters focused solely on Isla and Roman's romance, with no mafia involvement or dark romance. Then it improved, and some action entered the story. However, there are inconsistencies, for example, when Roman introduces Isla to Denis and Sergei. Sergei and Isla don't seem to know each other, but wasn't Sergei the doctor who treated Isla after the fire? And for me personally, it's inconceivable that someone could love their parents' murderer. I know it's fiction, but it's still an absolute no-go. I'm also not a fan of Daddy Kink (not the author's fault, it's in the tropes), but for me, it doesn't make sense that someone who embraces Daddy Kink would like their partner to have pubic hair, which was addressed in the book. I was equally disturbed that a Bratva boss cries so much, even though men can certainly express emotions. It's also very disturbing that Sergei speaks so openly about r@pe and apparently even practices it. But I did like the plots. In summary, I liked the first book better and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series. ⭐️ 3/5 🌶 3/5
