Amy

After years in an abusive relationship, I was finally ready to break free. But when Craig suddenly dies, I'm left with more questions than answers. Relief mingles with guilt as I search for the truth behind his death. I never expected to stumble into a nightmare, or that my nightmare would have eyes that see right through me and hands that make me forget everything I should fear. Now I'm trapped with a dangerous man who kills without remorse, yet treats me with a gentleness I've never known. Why does captivity feel so much like safety and why am I starting to crave both?

Wyatt

In my line of work, witnesses are liabilities, not potential lovers, but the moment I saw her watching me, I couldn't pull the trigger. Those frightened eyes, that bruised skin—she's already survived one monster. Now she's mine to protect, mine to keep. Amy thinks she's my prisoner, but I've been obsessed since the first time I saw her. I should let her go for her own good, but some temptations are impossible to resist.

Will Amy discover there's more to her captor than his lethal reputation? Can Wyatt protect what he cherishes most when a new threat emerges from the shadows?

"Stealing His Cupcake" is a kidnapping romance that blends darkness with unexpected sweetness. With sizzling chemistry and a protective anti-hero, this story proves that sometimes falling into the wrong hands can feel exactly right. HEA guaranteed!

I absolutely loved the first book in the series and was waiting (im) patiently for this one.
I am so honoured and thrilled that the author allowed me the opportunity to beta read 'Stealing His Cupcake '

I was sucked in from the first paragraph! First page alone was thrilling, mysteious and hilarious.
His internal monologues was sooo good!
And then I reat that Wyatt crochets!!! Ugh my heart be still! As a crocheter myself, I am absolutely thrilled when a character crochets 😁
and the MMC *chefs kiss* 💋

I adored Ethan in the first book and didn't think anyone could take his place as my favourite Anna Svoboda MMC. But Wyatt proved me wrong.
We love an obsessed MMC 😉
If you've read the first book, (please do if you haven't, because it will make this one even more funny)
then you would know who Amy is and who killed her boyfriend. And reading about Wyatt trying to figure it all out made me LMAO. It was too damn funny! 🤣

Amy...sweet, innocent, naive Amy. How I felt for her. My heart broke for her but I'm so proud of how far she came and how quickly she realised that Craig was not good at all. Her growth was beautiful to read and I loved when she took charge and became a Bad Ass MF
Go Girl! 💪

I loved that they communicated with each other. If there's one thing I hate in books it's miscommunication and seeing Amy mature and grow and realise what an unhealthy relationship she's been in was such a joy to read.

And one of my all time favourite parts was each time she called him Lucifer. I kid you not, I cackled!
And the way she found out his real name! OMG!

I loved all the side characters especially crazy Geraldine.

Loved seen Kayla & Ethan again and the ending with all four of them was just the cherry ontop of a perfect cake.

Thank you Anna Svoboda for allowing me to Beta read this amazing book. I look forward to reading more by you.

ARC Review
(4.5) Stealing his Cupcake - Anna Svoboda
Book 2, interconnected standalone in the Stockholm Syndrome series.

This was such a great read. I enjoyed this one a bit more than book 1, but there were some words and phrases repeatedly used that just left a bad taste for me. It might not bother other readers at all, and that's the only reason this is 4.5 and not 5 stars for me.

It's a dark romance with humor, loads of character growth, dark moments, golden retriever, morally gray and plain wrong stuff happening, but I enjoyed it. It had me laughing and also furious where you just want to shake the MFC and the MMC a few times throughout the story, but without the infuriating moments the story wouldn’t be what it is.

Both characters are in serious need of help! But they found each other by accident and it works out the way it should. It's an easy story to follow and reading it is fun and everything flows together.
This book’s timeline happens at the same time as book 1, but both can be read as standalones. I highly recommend reading book one though - it's also a great read and it makes more sense when the characters from book one appear here again in the end.

Anna really makes you question your sanity! You wonder if it will really be that bad to be kidnapped... by a killer... who's obsessed with you... And takes you on a secret special road trip....
Will live really be that bad?
Hahaha. Read this one and let me know.

Recommended for dark romance readers who's dipping into some fluffy kidnapping and murder with a touch of humor along the way.

Thank you Anna for the opportunity to read this early review copy of the book.

This is the first time reading one of this author’s book, I was not a huge fan of the book. I thought the FMC was too whiny and clingy at times, she didn’t seem to get much of a backbone until the very end and I just didn’t care for her. The reason I gave a 3 star mainly was because I liked the MMC he seemed genuine and caring. Wish I had more positives because I was really looking forward to reading this book.

This was...okay. I understand that Amy is a DV survivor, but her POV is just very...cringe-y. I honestly cannot get through it. I don't know if it is the writing, or what. The insta-love doesn't help either. I have read great stalker/obsession books before, and even though this book had a great premise, it did not deliver for me.

I found this book to be a good read. I enjoyed "CLAIMING HIS BUNNY" alot and this book held its own.
It's disturbing, dusted with humor, cream filled with danger and most of all Dark and Mouth Watering.
For the ladies... You might want to get yourself checked out after reading this book, because it might leave you pining to be kidnapped and kept by an obsessed dark character who won't just worship you but will full on make you fall in love and in luuuuust with him

If you've read 'Claiming His Bunny'... You'll see where she is going in this book... If you haven't, don't skip out on it... They eventually blend into each other.

Stealing His Cupcake by Anna Svoboda is the second book in her series, Stockholm Syndrome for the Win (a truly tongue in cheek title). According to Ms. Svoboda, she had not planned to write Amy’s story so soon, if ever, but I am glad that she did! Taking nothing away from Claiming His Bunny, and Ethan and Kayla’s wacky romance, I liked Wyatt and Amy more (sorry, not sorry). As Kayla’s BFF, readers are aware of Amy, her abusive and controlling boyfriend as well as Craig’s much-deserved fate. We are also aware of how Craig ended up having the day he deserved. Unlike Ethan, whose actions are more of a hobby (with vigilant elements), Wyatt has made a lucrative career out of removing bad people for a price; but he has scruples and lines he will not cross. He has no real friends (okay, no friends), family or lovers; for lack of a better word he is “married” to his career and even it has become a soul sucking task (if he had a soul that is). It is business as usual when he is hired to remove Craig (yes, Amy’s Craig); he starts his careful surveillance of the target and the unexpected happens, Craig is eliminated before he has a chance to act. And even more unexpected is Wyatt’s response to Craig’s girlfriend, Amy. For a person with few soft human feelings, Wyatt tumbles head over heels in love with Amy without ever having a conversation with her! While some readers might be impatient with Amy’s perceived weaknesses, I found her to be a very sympathetic character. The only person who appears to care for her is Kayla and due to her history of childhood neglect, Amy fears abandonment and being alone with every fiber of her being. So much so that she thought the crumbs of affection that Craig threw her way were an indication that he loved her. So much so that when the caring hitman treated her kindly and with respect and showed her that he treasured her AFTER he kidnapped her, she could do nothing but allow her lonely heart to soak up his tenderness. Wyatt thought he was cold and unfeeling until he allowed Amy to awaken his heart (unhinged as it was). Not that I am comparing (but I totally am) but Wyatt displayed more emotional intuition and just basic kindness than Ethan; I liked Ethan a lot, but Wyatt just appeared to be nice, kinder, sweeter.
In conclusion, Ms. Svoboda has given her readers another hilariously OTT, obsessive love story with the darkest of elements. But the darkness of the story was nicely tempered by the comedic dialog and characters. So consistently funny. Nolan, the young villain, was incongruously vile; his physical appearance was at odds with his gross core. He was frightening, in a way that Wyatt and Ethan were not. I don’t know if other readers were as eager as I was for Ethan and Wyatt to meet. While brief, I was not at all disappointed by their interaction, especially when it looks like we might see them on a road trip even though I am not sure if Slava has it in her to be a romantic lead brrrrrrrr 😊.

"Also, I’m not an asshole, and I’m partial to sweet grandmas, mainly because my own is a bitch. I’m talking drown-the-kittens-in-the-toilet kind of bitch."

"I know I’m repeating myself, but all I manage is another, “What?” Was this kid born without a brain, or did his parents drop him on the head one too many times?"

"Oh my god, he knows my name. I’m so fucking dead. Of all the people who could know I was Craig’s girlfriend, why does it have to be a psychopathic murderer?"

" Jesus Christ. How deep have I fallen for a murderer to be pitying me?"

" because, hello, kidnapped much? I’ve always been a good girl, the polite girl who did everything right, but this situation is bringing out my inner toddler."

"A sexy man who can cook. What a rare treasure. Of course, he’s also a deranged killer, so let’s call him a haunted treasure, like in those pirate movies with ghosts and zombies. Damn, I’m spiraling again. Focus, Amy."

"To ravish you like a pirate would ravish a little lady he captured? Because I will"

" I mean, I didn’t even manage to say yes, I just nodded, but I guess when you kill people for a living, a simple nod is a lot more consent than you’re used to."

"Then I realize I should probably be hurrying to repay the favor. After all, that’s why people kidnap others, right? To receive sexual services, not give them. I don’t even mind anymore. I’m good at blowjobs "

" Captives are so much work.” Well, don’t kidnap people then, I want to say, but while I’m somewhat relaxed around him now, I’m not brave enough to tease him"

" and I’m ready for whatever the day might bring. Unless it’s a ritual sacrifice. Or a long hike. Or a day at the beach. Or, well, pretty much anything other than sitting in the car and trying not to panic. God, who am I kidding? I am not ready for anything!"

"He pauses as Lucifer hands him something. Our IDs? Do we need to officially register with the secret society before we can attend the sacrifice? “Um, yes, Cupcake, I don’t think my parents had my hitman career in mind when they were picking baby names.”

“That’s not true. Maybe if you weren’t such a bitch and actually looked, you’d see the good parts of us and not just the bad parts. But I guess that wouldn’t go well with all that emo look you’ve got going on. Nineties called, by the way. They want it back.”

“You know, the problem with building up a girl’s self-confidence is that you get a self-confident woman. Really, you only have yourself to blame for this.”

*Received as an ARC*

When Wyatt takes on a job, the last thing he expects is to become utterly consumed by the curvy, captivating woman dating his target. But when the target ends up dead—and not by Wyatt’s hand—he’s determined to uncover who beat him to it. His investigation leads him straight to the woman who’s been haunting his thoughts, and he makes a bold, dangerous decision: to take her for himself.

Amy is just searching for the truth. Her boyfriend is gone, and the secrets he kept from her are unraveling fast. But her quest for answers lands her in a terrifying situation—trapped in a bedroom while a man is using his own twisted methods to get information is just down the hall. One wrong move reveals her presence, and suddenly she’s swept away by a stranger, far from everything she’s ever known. To survive, she plays along, hoping it’ll be enough to make it out alive.

Yes, some parts felt rushed—especially the emotional shift from fear to infatuation—but considering Amy’s history of abusive relationships, her rapid attachment to someone who shows her genuine care and desire isn’t entirely believable. The story spans a couple of months, though the pacing makes it feel much quicker. Still, the emotional intensity is compelling.

And let me tell you—I screamed toward the end. This man… this man has the nerve to walk away because he couldn’t handle a moment of vulnerability, even though she was the one who showed up for him. I grabbed my phone and messaged Anna immediately because what?! Wyatt is lucky Amy had the strength and healing to chase after him. She showed more grace than I ever would have.
Overall, this series keeps me hooked. Each book leaves me desperate for the next, and I can’t wait to see what wild, emotional rollercoaster Anna throws us on next.

Stealing His Cupcake is book two in the Stockholm Syndrome from the Win series and is the story of Amy and Wyatt. This is a strangers to lovers, close proximity, forced marriage, stalker romance. While this is a light and fluffy-ish romance, there are some darker themes so please check your content warnings prior to proceeding.

Wyatt is an unhinged hitman who has lead a life of detachment, until he sees his latest target's girlfriend. Amy has been mentally and now physically abused by her boyfriend and is still reeling from him hitting her when she learns that someone killed him. Attempting to process this news, Amy is looking for answers and inadvertently comes face to face with Wyatt. His obsession with Amy only grows and as he takes her prisoner, he treats her with more care and concern than Amy has every experienced. Confusion mixes with fear and desire as Wyatt claims Amy as his own and Amy scrambles to catch up with the whirlwind around her.

This was such a funny story with moments of panic and confusion for poor Amy. Knowing that Wyatt is a trained hitman but feeling his care anf desire for her leaving her reeling and questioning his motives. The author was able to inject such levity in situations that could be dark and potentially disturbing while allowing the characters emotions to show. I enjoyed how there was very little miscommunication between Wyatt and Amy (until the big event, IYKYK). Even with that miscommunication, the results of Amy's growth made it worthwhile and perfect for the story.

This is a wonderful book with some dark themes but hilarious and sweet moments that will make you swoon over Wyatt. Amy experiences such emotional growth and achieves such confidence in herself and that was wonderful to see build throughout the book. Well done ma'am and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to read this book early.

Stealing His Cupcake by Anna Svoboda is a deliciously dark romance that somehow manages to be both twisted and adorable at the same time.
Amy starts off fragile, finally free after years in an abusive relationship, only to be left reeling by her partner’s sudden (and necessary) death. Her relief is tangled up in guilt and fear, and when she crosses paths with Wyatt, a lethal man with no mercy for witnesses, she’s thrust into a nightmare she never expected. But what should feel like captivity soon feels strangely safe. This is where her weak-to-strong FMC arc really shines, watching Amy slowly rediscover her voice, her worth, and her strength is so satisfying.
And then there’s Wyatt. An obsessed MMC in the best possible way. Dangerous, possessive, protective, and yet so unexpectedly gentle with Amy. He kills without hesitation, but when it comes to her, he’s tender, attentive, and absolutely all in. Honestly? I want a Wyatt.
The dynamic between them gives you constant push-and-pull tension, but also moments of real sweetness that will melt your heart. It’s very much an adorable twisted romance, with lovable characters who somehow make you root for them even when everything about their situation screams that you shouldn’t.
The spice? 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 Five chili peppers—intense, passionate, and addictive. The themes? Dark and heavy, with plenty of triggers (check the content warnings!). The payoff? A guaranteed HEA that makes the shadows worth wading through.
If you’re craving a kidnapping romance with scorching chemistry, a broken but healing heroine, and a protective anti-hero who will make your heart ache and your Kindle overheat, Stealing His Cupcake is it.

Anna is a new author for me, and I really enjoyed this book! I did not read the first of this series, but this was an easy read, and is basically a stand alone. From what I can understand, this book takes place at the same time as the first book does, with the exception of the end, where the characters of the first book come into play.
This book follows Amy, whose boyfriend is a terrible person, abusive and a real douche. But she herself has mental issues related to this abuse and stays with him so she will not be alone. She is terrified of being abandoned, and does all she can to make him happy. When he is found dead, she is both horrified at being alone, yet relieved that she is no longer is such a terrible relationship.
Then we have Wyatt. He is a bonafied, for real, hitman. He has been contracted to take out said douche of a boyfriend, and when he sees Amy for the first time, that's it, he's in "obsession". He follows her, and decides that he will protect her. She is his cupcake. But who killed the contract? It wasn't him...
As he goes looking for answers, she goes looking for answers, and they end up together. It's funny, witty, steamy, spicy, and just cute as hell. It has all the things I love about a dark romance; obsession, touch her and perish, knives, unhinged MMC, and a FMC that needs some protection and help. Mental illness gets a nice spotlight and is shined in nicely in this book. It has a place and she does a good job of making it real and relatable. I give this one 4.5 stars and recommend!

This book is such a different and refreshing look on the stalker front. Wyatt's not doing it for dark and horrible purposes. He just stumbles upon Amy and is instantly infatuated with her and cannot get her out of his head. He would die just to see her one last time.

I love an Mmc that would do absolutely anything for his girl the instant he lays eyes on her. I couldn't help but smile when Wyatt beat the shit out of Turbo just because he repeated some horrible things said about Amy. Yet, Wyatt is just like a honey teenage boy in some aspects, he is so well rounded. Wyatt was my kind of man and it's refreshing to read of a well rounded character. But what would a well rounded character be without doing probably the stupidest thing ever. Thankfully his girl is able to look past this and forgives him.

I enjoyed Amy's character and the development of her. She started out as a Meek and abused girl and turned into this brave and strong girl who ends up saving Wyatts life. Its nice that the girl was the one who did the saving for a change. Amy turns into the perfect version of herself who will take no shit from anyone, husbands included.

It was so great to see the progress of Amy and the story was full of twists and turns.

I was honored to have the opportunity to read this as an ARC before the actual publication date - and I LOVED every minute of this book!!!!! I did not realize this book was the second of the series - I would have grabbed the first book to read before I dove into this one! - but this book was perfectly fine as a stand alone in itself. (but will definitely go read the first book now!!)

Amy was a character who had a great development arc as the book progressed. It was refreshing to read a book where the FMC was not the typical young, skinny, "perfect" girl. Amy is relatable, has "real" problems and issues, and survives what life throws at her in a way she feels she can handle. Wyatt is a great MMC and his instant attraction/obsession is what every gal dreams of - and the crocheting made me giggle. The humor scattered throughout the book had me laughing out loud and not wanting to stop reading.

This was a fun read and I enjoyed the character development, the humor, the scattered spice, and the crossover with the characters from the first book. I will definitely re-read this after I grab the first book!

Ok this was absolutely amazing. I haven’t read a solid 5 star book in a few months and this was exactly what I needed.
I love me a psychotic unhinged MMC and Wyatt definitely delivered. He saw Amy and decided that she would be his. And being a contract killer wasn’t going to deter him from making her his.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of Amy because I just can’t understand being a doormat to the people who are supposed to love you. But she’s a real depiction of the way some people cope with life and its abuses.
I did however appreciate how she grows as a character by the end of the story. She finds her voice and her backbone and I ALWAYS appreciate that in a good book.
The humor in this book was top tier. Any time that I actually laugh out loud during a story is such a damn pleasure for me.
I haven’t read the first book in this series featuring Kayla and Ethan but that will definitely be going in my to do list for the weekend because just the few glimpses of them in this one has me so intrigued!
This is the first book I’ve read by Anna and it surely won’t be the last.

This novel offered a refreshing take on dark and twisted themes—completely unlike the ordinary. Amy’s evolution from confusion and denial to empowerment and self-esteem was impactful. She gradually becomes aware of the emotional, verbal, and physical abuse she’s endured, yet she refuses to remain a victim. Instead, she battles her circumstances, evolves, and won’t allow Wyatt to shatter her.
As for Wyatt? He embodies the ultimate possessive, obsessive, and unstable alpha male. He kills without hesitation, abducts his partner as if it’s his right, and treats their marriage as if it’s already a reality. What makes him even more dangerously attractive? He exhibits a harsh demeanor to the outside world but reveals a gentle side only for Amy. She is his fixation, his all. That juxtaposition? Perfection.
And let’s discuss the spice:
It’s raw, frequent, intense, and tantalizingly.

I recommend this book! Although this is a stand alone book, I also recommend reading- Claiming his Bunny by this author!

This is my first read by this author, and the second book in the Stockholm Syndrome for the Win series. This book is exactly as billed: a fluffy k1dnapping. I found the first half more like a rom com, with lightness & banter despite dark circumstances. A couple of places, there was a bit too much banter for me & I skimmed pages. The pacing & plot came together for me by 50% & I was invested in the story.
Wyatt is an OTT, JP, golden retriever H who won’t tolerate any kind of disrespect towards Amy, his perfect (for him) person. His complete devotion, combined with his career choice, drops Amy into situations where she loses her “goodness” for the sake of her marriage. The action scenes & Amy’s sassy mouth were funny & memorable. Loved her friendship with Kayla & because I hadn’t read the first book, there was a delicious twist I wasn’t expecting. I’m now off to read the first book in the series!

🔥 Review 🔥
This book was a breath of dark, twisted fresh air—totally different from the usual. Amy’s journey from confusion and denial to strength and self-worth was powerful. She slowly realizes she’s been emotionally, verbally, and physically abused—but she doesn’t stay a victim. She fights, she grows, and she refuses to let Wyatt break her.

Now Wyatt? He is the definition of possessive, obsessive, unhinged alpha male. He kills without blinking, kidnaps his woman like it’s his god-given right, and marries her like she’s already his. And what makes him even more dangerously irresistible?
He’s cold and brutal to the world—but sweet only to Amy. She’s his obsession, his everything. That contrast? Chef’s kiss.

And let’s talk about the spice:
It’s raw, frequent, intense, and deliciously filthy. Every scene is dripping with heat, tension, and that dangerously dark passion that keeps you turning pages at 2AM.

I devoured this book. And now I’m feral for the next one. 🖤

I need to admit that I didn’t read the first book from this series, but I can tell you that you could read this without reading the first one and you’ll still know what’s happening and going on. I can say that I will be going and getting book 1 thou because I absolutely loved this book. Near the end some characters do come into the book but still can follow easily along. This book does have some DV in it with Amy whose boyfriend is a piece of…...and she stays scared to be alone and the unknow of what would happen. But then out of the blue someone hires a hitman to take out said nasty boyfriend, but the hitman ends up falling for her and now is obsessed. This was a funny, witty, spicy, unexpected hold on tight for a ride and I was all for it and loved it. Can’t wait to go back and dive into book 1.

This is my first time reading anything by Anna Svoboda and I was lucky enough to arc read it before it’s official release date. I was hooked from the very start, like first chapter in lol. I love Amy’s character development and how she grew into a more confident and strong person after everything she went through. And don’t even get be started on Wyatt 😍, morally red flag yet biggest green flag especially with how he treats Amy… although his actions at almost the end of the book did have me crying with what Amy had to go through. But she smacked the common sense and the error of his choice right back into him and he made up for it. This book had me laughing, crying and loving both Amy and Wyatt. 5/5⭐️ 3.5/5🌶️

**ARC Review**
Stealing His Cupcake is my first read by Anna Svoboda, for me it was more of a comedy/stalking it had several laugh out loud scenes.

The FMC started off meek and clingy, though I can understand it given her DV history, and childhood history; however, it was for me a bit too much. I did like her character growth at the end and her saving MMC and her 🗡 stabbing scene with the MMC!! Good for her!!

The MMC is the fluffiest obsessive stalker/woman-napping I have read so far. He is genuine in his attraction and feeling for the FMC. I love how he compliments her every chance he sees her moods change and how close he pays attention to her actions. I love their banter and their inner monologue that had me laughing throughout the book.

Stealing His Cupcake was a JOY to read.

Amy is dating this horrible excuse for a human named Craig. Well, Craig ends up kicking the bucket. & most of the book we're wondering WHO took him out because even though Wyatt was tasked with the contract.. He did not fulfill the contract.

Wyatt is in search of WHO actually took out Craig when he spots Amy. & lord if all the tracking of her BEFORE he met her wasn't enough, he is ensnared with her beauty. So, he decides to keep her.. for her own safety? We shall go with that, lol.

Amy and Wyatt meet under the weirdest circumstances but honestly, I am here for it.

Stealing His Cupcake ends up being a wonderful story of Amy taking back what is hers and Wyatt realizing that someone finally choose him...

Thank you to the author for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Crocheting unalivers and character growth

Okay, so I really struggled to connect with Amy in the beginning. More than once I wanted to shake her and yell, “Stop being ridiculous!” But when I was venting to a friend, I realized that was the point. Amy’s abandonment issues and lack of self-worth are written into her bones, and those flaws make her eventual growth hit so much harder.

And then there’s Wyatt. A hitman who crochets. A hitman. Who crochets! Somehow he manages to be both terrifying and tender, carrying insecurities of his own that make him maddeningly endearing.

By the end, I was fully invested. What starts as frustration blossoms into something unexpectedly heartfelt, with characters whose cracks make them all the more human.

This was a refreshing take on stalker romance. Wyatt is a hitman who is hired to get rid of Craig but someone beats him to the job. He finds out that Amy was the girlfriend of the recently departed Craig and quite obviously a survivor of domestic abuse.

The character of Amy was written in detail and showed a huge growth curve from a anxiety prone dependent person to one who knows her own mind. It was really a joy to see her grow into a powerhouse after experiencing liberating love with Wyatt.

Amy's best friend Kayla was a strong and supportive character and her book is already available to read. Wyatt was possessive and protective in love and it was funny to see a scary guy like him turn into a marshmallow for Amy.

A scary sweet love story between two characters who are adorable together.

Highly recommend 👍🏻

This was such a good book and cute read! Wyatt is such a green red flag and Amy is literally the sweetest person ever! This is an opposite attracts for sure with an instantly obsessed mmc and honestly it didn't take long for Amy to become just as obsessed, i also loved the growth of the two of them with Amy becoming more confident and badass (at the end specifically) and Wyatt toning down his murdery urges and becoming more self aware for Amy. The banter between the two of them was so funny, and their inner monologues had me dying! and the spice was both hot and sweet! overall this was a great read!

Though Amy was one of the weakest fmcs I've ever read, her story and personal growth in this book was actually quiet real and impressive. She needed to be weak for the story to work as it did. She showed her building strengths where they were needed. I really enjoyed Wyatt too, he was full of real faults but was still right for Amy and tried his best.

This book was full of spice and blood and body parts and murder. It was a good read and though second in the series and not having read the first one, it acted as a stand alone with slight cross over but I could follow easily. Now I'm off to read the first one because this has intrigued me.

I received this book as an ARC and I was not disappointed.
As Always, READ YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS!

Having read the first of the series, I was beyond excited for the 2nd. Now I will say that I would have rated this 4.5 Stars if I could only for the fact that it was a bit slow in the middle and sluggish in the beginning. But I would 100% recommend this series to anyone who loves stalking, captivity, and being treated like a queen despite society saying that we are too large to love.

This instalment did seem lighter than the first book but it was still enjoyable. Spicy and delicious. Enjoy!

I did not realize there was a first book until I already started reading this one but it still flowed well and I didn’t have any issues following along!

This was a fun read and had some great spicy scenes!! 🥵 At first the triggers of DV got me but I’m so glad I kept reading!! Wyatt is just the sweetest unhinged MMC and I love how Amy fell head over heels for him. I really enjoyed how Amy overcame so much crap through her life and turned out to be a real badass by the end! I do wish there was more of that version of her and her journey of building that self confidence she so needed in her life!! But overall a great read and I really enjoyed this book!!

This was such a fun and witty read that brings hitman, Wyatt, into abused Amy's world and he finds himself smitten. He's not used to feelings so he kindly stalks her (lol!) while he's prepping to deal with her nasty bf, as he was hired to do. I really liked Wyatt. When her bf gets killed by someone else, though, Wyatt's not sure how to proceed. Both of them end up looking for answers and, yeah, he kidnaps her. What follows is an exciting, spicy and fun journey that brings such character growth Amy and gives her the chance to be the hero for Wyatt. So good! With twists, mystery and hot chemistry, this was a page turner for me. Definitely recommend :D

Anna Svoboda delivers a deliciously twisted sweet treat in Stealing His Cupcake, the second book in her Stockholm Syndrome for the Win series.

Amy’s journey from the trauma of previous abusive relationships to unexpected safety in the arms of her kidnapper, Wyatt, is heart-melting. Wyatt doesn’t just steal Amy away—he steals the show, and our hearts; even if I wanted to hit him over the head myself! (when you read it, you will know when).

If you love morally grey men with soft spots and heroines who find strength in the most unlikely places, this one’s for you. HEA guaranteed, and I am hoping for one more instalment in this series.

Wonderful storyline ❤️

In the beginning of the book I was worried Amy's weaknesses. Since she is DV survivor with a lot of trauma regarding abandonment and absolutely no confidence. Her character development was slow, a lot self deprecating dialogue, but she grew to be such a powerhouse.

Wyatt......oh Wyatt🫦
His obsessive desire to possess all of Amy is my catnip. He's a strong, ruthless, hit man but will do anything to have the FMC all to himself.

Great progession of the story, a little slow in the beginning but overall I really enjoyed it.
