3.5 stars: This last installment wraps up Hillary and her Kings' story and it has been quite a journey for all of them. I loved Aaron from the start and he has been probably the most steady character for me throughout the series.

All the characters here are damaged given their background, so their new found family vibe did offer that hope for a better future. I am sad to say that I did not like this last book as much as the previous ones in the series, it felt a bit like the focus shifted between the MMCs and Hillary was left on the sidelines. It just did not sit right with me as she is the one, who brought them all together. Apart from that, some har earned revenge was in the cards and frankly, it has been a long time coming.

Overall, I am glad that the story got its HEA and considering the quirks of each main character, I thought the ending was quite fitting.

Finally seeing the individual powerhouses being vulnerable and opening up to each other.
When previously there was so many unanswered questions and moving pieces, in TCAK we get the group working together and not against themselves.

Throw in some forced proximity & found family vibes that we all love and crave!

Lucky will always be my favourite, and I loved the softness between Aaron & Lucky and how they showed up for their little family and had each other’s backs.

Hilary showing her humanity and fighting for their family really switches up their dynamic and holds the glue to the whole roller coaster of a read!

Overall a great story and loved seeing all the puzzle pieces come together.

What a ride this series has been! And that conclusion!! Yes! I said it from the beginning of book one: I don’t know how Cora weaved the web of these characters but she did such a fantastic job (I picture a big mind map on a white board 😆). Kellan really had me wanting to reach into the screen to shake him and knock some sense into him. He really had some making up to do but he figured it out in the end. Stoic Aaron with his undying love. Lucky with his goofy, charming self. And Hillary the bada$$ Queen that takes care of her family. Love them all and sad to see the end of their story but it was so well deserved for them.

Don't even think about coming for this family

Ms Cora Flynn, this series is my taste of your work and I'm ready to devour your entire catalogue if it's anymore of this awesomeness.

If Lucky is not your favourite MMC at the end of this series, you don't belong in this club. Lauchlan is the ridiculous glue holding this weird, sexy, psychotic family together. He is the light, humour and joy against their darkness and so much more brilliant than he let on. Funny enough, his technological skills and pyromaniac tendencies actually saved so many of the plans that he proved his value to their little family many times over. Love how his anxiety about not being as physical as Kellan and Aaron led him to put the trackers on his loves, because that's how he ultimately saved all of their lives after Antonio kidnaps and tortures the other three.

Aaron is my next favourite, because obviously our sweet and romantic but deadly businessman with his penchant for knives and saving the underdog had my whole heart. Discovering that Antonio had sent that sadistic woman to infiltrate his life as the backup plan for ultimately sending Kellan to kill Aaron? That betrayal was one of the two worst uncovered in this series. Was so glad he got the chance to end her at his own hands. And those two despicable people who made him had the audacity to run and hide and still deal in child sex trafficking? Their vice is exactly how our crew was able to find them and good riddance.

Now, our companero, Kellan, The Viking aka Conan... He and Aaron both experienced such horrid childhoods and toxic parents, but his resulting trauma seemed even worse. His father broke his spirit while grooming him to be his enforcer and supposed heir, but between his other life as an FBI agent and his entire relationship with Hillary, he still had hope that life could be better than all death and demons. Kellan had the most character growth in the series, followed closely by Lauchlan, and all it took was some steadfast, determined and unconditional loving from three unlikely lovers. The best thing that happened to Kellan was losing both his day and night jobs, because once he was no longer forcibly tethered to the agency or the cartel, he was finally able to see and appreciate the love he was receiving and decide he must keep these people he also loved in his life. Finally getting to erase his sperm donor from existence also went a long way on his healing journey.

And lastly, the Queen, Hillary Lane. Billionaire Barbie Baddie herself. Heart big, pockets deep, aim sure. Her strength was undeniable and for her to get that well deserved peace of mind with Marco's incarceration, his empire destroyed and then his death was EVERYTHING. Hillary got the most heart-wrenching betrayals of the family between her father stealing from her to hire The Six to steal the painting and then finding out who the traitor was that allowed Marco to expose her vigilante justice side quest.

I loved that this chosen family got to experience learning and loving each other away from the constant pressure, violence and darkness. But I also loved how the author gave them a retirement job that best utilizes all of their skillsets. Also love how Hillary dealt with leaving her and Aaron's companies and making sure that all the people they valued got financially taken care of, including the thousands of employees.

This series is definitely going into my reverse harem favourites list!

And that’s how you conclude a trilogy. This was the STUNNING epic culmination to this ‘All The Queen’s Men’ trilogy. I’d received an ARC of ‘To Curse a Knight’ back in April and I’ve been anxiously awaiting Book 3.

Book 2 left on a cliffhanger and I had list of things that needed to happen: vengeance for Blackbird, Marty the assistant to survive, ALL the parents to get theirs in the most gruesome way possible (reading too many books where the awful parent gets off with an apology); and figure out who The Six are.

Let’s say I was DEEPLY satiated and satisfied in many ways. The book moved at a breathtaking pace and also was calm where needed. There was so many threads that needed closure and each one got their moment. I was fist pumping at some stuff and then crying over some reveals and further backstory.

This HEA was HARD EARNED and each book built on each individual relationship that it made sense they were all together. They started as separate and only around for Hillary and thru unbridled LOYALTY to her, they developed their own relationships with each other and then finally TOGETHER. Yes, her boyfriend(s) are boyfriends and it’s amazing and fully realized.

I love the Lauchlan/Kellan dynamic. They just go tête-à-tête with each other and it’s fantastic.

The sexual dynamics of the group are actually quite engrossing. The roles they played during/initiating sexy time was prompted by how they were successfully they “accomplished/failed a mission.” The psychology around it was fascinating and really interesting to read about. That last scene did me in!

This is “daddy issues” the series, but oooh they use those issues for the greater good and got their closure. What a fantastic series.

This was the end of a trilogy, and what an ending!

Without a doubt, it was the darkest book of the three. The tension was as intense as in the first book, with characters just as powerful who have something in common: a desire for raw, real love, and a family that would accept them despite their darkness.

My main focus is Hillary, our FMC! What a woman to have her pants on straight and handle everything as she pleases. It's no wonder she's the queen, the boss, La patrona, and for those who mess with the ones she loves...Well, we could say that we see her most feared and hidden side, the one for which she will kill for them. 

A queen cannot be left to men who are not up to her standards, and no one meets those standards better than Kellan, Aaron, and Lauchlan. They would give everything for their queen, risk everything for her. Especially if it is for the love of their lives and the one they know is their home (although some find it harder to accept reality than others even if they think it’s in a protective way). No one said it would be easy, but they will fight to get ahead and have a future with their girl.

📍Do I recommend it?

Yes, this is a trilogy that deserves to be read. There is no doubt that it is a perfect book for all types of readers; the level of darkness increases with each book, as does its level of spice. However, as I always like to tell you, even though there aren't many warnings, always take them into account and see what you're getting into. So if you're looking for a why choose with strong characters, a dominant FMC who knows what she wants (including a little revenge), strong men who would give everything for our FMC. This is your book!

To Claim a King is hands down my favorite book of the series so far, and honestly, one of Cora Flynn’s strongest works yet.

This book had everything: explosive action, gut-punch twists, heartbreak that tore me apart, and intimacy so raw and intense I had to stop and catch my breath more than once. It’s darker, bolder, and more unflinching than the first two books, but also filled with moments of tenderness that made me melt.

Hillary shines as the Queen she was always meant to be—calculating, fearless, but also achingly human when her walls finally crack. Kellan’s arc had me absolutely reeling (the choices he makes here? DEVASTATING). Aaron is his steady, quiet, lethal self, but the depth of emotion he reveals floored me. And Lucky…my chaotic Irish king of Skittles and heart? He completely stole the show. Each of them brings out a different facet of Hillary, and together they’re messy, complicated, passionate, and perfect.

The pacing is relentless in the best way. Cora knows exactly when to twist the knife and when to let us breathe, and those emotional beats land hard. One chapter I was laughing at Lucky’s antics, the next I was sobbing into my pillow, and then I was fanning myself because—yeah, the heat in this book is UNREAL.

And that ending? Cinematic, satisfying, and the perfect setup for what comes next. It felt like both a victory and a promise—closure on so many threads, but still that delicious sense of more to come.

To Claim a King is a masterclass in why-choose dark romance: high-stakes, deeply emotional, scorchingly hot, and utterly addictive. This series has only gotten better with every book, and this one left me completely destroyed—in the best way. Thank you Cora for this ARC!!

This is another excellent piece of literature by Cora Flynn. I loved this book, series, and final conclusion of the series. The overall story was complicated, so breaking it up into three books made it easier to digest. As such, each book revealed who the players were: the rook, queen, king, and knight, and how each fit into this ultimate chess game between the FBI, mafia, a conman conglomerate, and a vigilante.

This is a messy, complicated, non-traditional love story, but a love story, nonetheless. These four, once they make the decision to be on-board, work hard to be together. Hillary is the queen, and the nucleus of the group. She is fearless, dangerous, and will do anything and everything to protect her men. She also happens to be a highly successful businesswoman by day and vigilante at night. All of the men have their own dangerous, secret identities. Flynn excels at character building and the characters in this story are complex with many layers. Yes, they could be vicious, cruel, and dangerous, but they could still find tenderness for Hilary. They have all had to develop masks that didn’t show any emotion, no matter what was done to them, because emotion was considered a weakness in their violent world. I enjoyed the witty and snarky banter between the characters, and though Lucky brought some humor and lightness to heavy scenes. Some parts of the story might be shocking because of how brutal the criminal world can be. Please check the trigger warnings and skip this book if it will make you uncomfortable, rather than give it a negative review, because this is a terrific book. If you are looking for a well-written, dark, mafia romance full of family drama, revenge, and redeemable characters, I would recommend this excellent book for you.

Back at it again and I’m not offering up any apologies for my previous bullying, Cora! I will give credit where credit is due, you made it right by the end… but you just had to keep me in limbo until like 90%?! YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID!

Okay, for my fellow book gremlins. Don’t tell Cora I said this but she is seriously amazing. Not only is she such a talented writer but she is also so sweet and kind and just lovely. Why wouldn’t I just tell her that? Because I had a reputation to upkeep. Anyway, this series was 👩‍🍳 💋- I loved Cascade of Lies with Winter and her gaggle. But Hillary’s story was grittier, darker and Cora wrote her so well. She gives mini Hades (Hades series by Tate James) vibes with her badassery. I mean, of course her men are great and hot and protective and brutal. But Hillary is our star here. She is a bisexual boss lady who will castrate someone while wearing powder pink Chanel power suit and a pair of sky high Louis Vs. Her desire for revenge, which is actually everyone in the harems goal, is commendable. There’s no ethical dilemma for me, she is saving the world and honestly we need people like her because the stuff in this fictional book that are just trigger warnings are real. They are happening every single day. Which brings me to something I was so super impressed by and immediately messaged Cora about in the beginning of the series: the individual content warnings before chapters begun. It was intentional and meaningful.

All this to say, I’m so sad this is over but I can’t wait to see what this beautiful Canadian monster does next! 🖤 I’ve loved being on this journey with you since Winter’s first book!

I'm absolutely thrilled that I started reading Cora Flynn's books with this series because I got to see her storytelling and writing style only become better and stronger from the first to the last book and fall in love with Hillary, Aaron, Kellan, and Lauchlan along the way. They are such interesting, likable, and memorable characters, who took me on a roller coaster of emotions in To Claim a King, which is action packed, fast paced, and full of heart, heat, and humor, not to mention all the danger, intrigue, and violence. In fact, it's one of the most engaging and entertaining dark romances I've read this year.

I loved "watching" the MCs' complicated but genuine and passionate relationships develop across the three books while each character, in their own way, demonstrated their commitment to their common causes and steadfast loyalty to and unconditional love for each other. I admire Hillary's cleverness and compassion for others (which doesn't keep her from being a total badass), Aaron's total devotion to "his queen" and doing the right thing, Kellan's emotional growth despite his understandable stubbornness, and Lauchlan's cheeky charm and childish sense of humor, which give this story the comedic relief it needs, what with all the dark themes. They all have different dynamics with each other, which makes for a beautiful love story and a fun read.

I wish I could say that I'm excited for the next book in this series, as I'd love to read more about these wonderful characters and "see" where life takes them, but, unfortunately, To Claim a King is the last book. That said, Cora definitely gave Hillary and her Rook, Knight, and King a satisfying HEA and series conclusion, and I am excited to see what she writes next.

This book follow Hillary, Kellan, Aron and Lauchlan working their way through difficulties and navigating their own HEA. A book which is filled with action, drama, suspense, twist and turns, fun, banter, spice and what not. What I love the most is characters development. The way their relationship grew stronger and stable each passing day. I was on edge while turning pages after pages to know what’s gonna happen next. I just loved them. I felt every emotions while reading like cried, laughed and cried some more. Cora broke me in a very beautiful way and I’m also ready to be broken again and again if we keep receiving masterpieces like this. I couldn’t put it down and finished it within a day. This book is a banger. And without any doubt my most favourite one. This book is so well written that I can’t even complain even if I want to. Cora again delivered her masterpiece. What a great way to wrap up their story. Can’t wait to see what she store up for us.

Well my girl Cora has done it again!! This final instalment in the "All the Queens Men" series did NOT disappoint.
This book is packed with action, bloody violence, passion, love and beautifully dirty carnal sex between 4 of the hottest characters to come alive on a page.
Picking right up from the epic cliff hanger she left us with in book two, "To Claim a King" this book sucks you right in from the get go.
Being on this journey with these characters from the beginning has been an emotional roller coaster but it's a ride I did not want to end. The unrelenting devotion these four have for one another is tragically beautiful. Our brooding Viking and his insatiable need to protect them all making myself a martyr, our gorgeous Columbian mob boss with his romantic side and our care free witty Irishman are the perfect blend of dark and light to our bloody boss babe badass Hilary.

Cora put this story together so well and I am sad that it is over, but I am super grateful to have been on this journey with her since the beginning with her other series "Cascade of Lies"
Getting to watch her writing style develop into the beautiful thing it is today has been a treasure. The depth and soul she puts into the characters and these stories it beautiful in its own right.

This was a beautiful ending to a dark and twisted, tragically beautiful RH love story. You will not be disappointed besides being sad that the journey is over for this foursome

To Claim A King is book three in the All the Queen's Men series and is the final book for Aaron, Kellan, Lucky and Hillary. This is a why choose, close proximity, mafia, found family romance. There are some dark themes in this book/series so please check your content warnings prior to reading.

As the vultures circle Hillary and her men, they must come together and figure out a way to take down the monsters trying to destroy them. With bullseyes on their backs, Kellan and Aaron must work together with Lucky to protect Hillary from not only her business rivals but from those looking to use her as leverage against her men.

What a way to end this series, damn woman! There is so much action and twists going on throughout the book that the surprises keep coming. The spice of course is out of this world and while that was amazing, it was wonderful to see the connection between Hillary and each of her men but also how the men each found something in one another that they never knew was missing. The four of them truly became family throughout the series and the relationships that were solidified during this book was heartfelt and beautiful.

Read this series and you will not be disappointed. This is a why choose book with relationships between all of the characters that will make you sweat in all the best ways. I received this book from the author and am leaving an honest review as a show of my appreciation.

I've enjoyed every second of this series and this one didn't disappoint in the slightest! The plot kept me invested and at points, on my toes wanting to know what happens next! The pacing was great, all story lines felt finalised in a satisfying way and was really happy with how the epilogue rounded up the story. Can't recommend this series enough if you haven't started it! It's now complete and waiting for you to go enjoy it too if you love all things dark, mafia and romance between all!

The spicy scenes were fab, really loved the switch in dynamics once life was less hectic for them. Kellan's adapting to change once his stupid choice was pointed out to him made me happy, did get angry for him making that choice with the right intentions. Lucky is still my favourite out of all the men, his bratty nature and sunny persona just helps lighten the most tense of situations in this! Aaron's journey with both Lucky and Kellan was really well done; I enjoyed his ending with his family too and getting his satisfaction with their ending. Hillary is such a queen in all this; brave, smart and vulnerable enough to show her emotions to her men and owning her attitude to shove her actions in the face of the enemy! Going to miss them but can't wait for Cora's next series!

OMFG!!! I didn't want this story to end, I love Hill and her men so much ♥️♥️♥️

We pick up right as To Curse a Knight concluded and let me tell you, this instalment is action packed from start to finish with very little down time for Hill and her guys. It all came together so well, and i finally got all my answers.

Hillary, you are a queen, and I love you so much. She finally found her happy ever after. I loved that her guys truly saw each other for what they were to each other, and I loved all that build-up and tension until it exploded. Yes, their happy ever after was beautiful and amazing, but they went through so much heartache and turmoil to get there.

There were a few things that I didn't suspect initially, but looking back, it makes total sense, and Cora dropped us clues throughout the first 2 books.

What an amazing series. It's an incredible series 🙌🙌🙌

Wheeeewww man this book was SPICY. I am here for it. Like all the other books in the series this book was full of spice, mm, and group activities. It is absolutely mouth watering some of the scenes and if you love spicy mafia romances then this series is the one for you. This is the perfect conclusion to the series. We get revenge, violence, fighting, and a happy ever after of course.

I love when the bad guy gets what is coming to them and in the end of this book that ending is full body shudder worth it. You definitely want to mind your triggers because this book has several dark elements but if you have read the other books in the series then you know what you are in for. I would love to see more series in this world and maybe see all the characters featured in it. I have some ideas of where they could spin off but it is only a girls dream right now lol. I just didn’t want to let the characters go because they are spicy goodness. I would absolutely read more of this author and of this world. It was a fun way to distract myself from the mundaneness of life and get to live through some other characters for a bit.

I was so lucky to have the privilege of beta-reading this book for Cora, and let me tell you, she's truly outdone herself. Not only has she given Hillary, Kellan, Aaron and Lauchlan a hard-fought happily ever after, but she's delivered it in an action driven, suspense filled, twisty-turny way that will have you dying to read the next chapter.

These characters have developed and evolved exceptionally from where we met Hillary and Kellan in Winter's trilogy, and when we first met Aaron and Lauchlan in To Catch a Rook. They've grown not only as individuals in outstanding ways, but also in ways that help better this somewhat odd group dynamic of theirs - I say odd, because as you learn about these characters, part of you does ask how the four ended up together (Cora even writes a few quips about this into the narrative).

One more the whole spectrum of emotions are felt here, but please check the warnings before reading as this is Cora's darkest book yet. An absolutely phenomenal way to tie up the series, and I cannot wait to see where she goes from here with her storytelling!

To Claim A King is the 3rd and final book in All The Queen’s Men trilogy. This is a dark why choose romance. To Claim A King picks up right where the 2nd book, To Curse A Knight, left off. Kellan and Lucky save Aaron’s life while Hillary discovers she isn’t safe anymore by the present she finds in her condo. This is made even worse when speculation is spread around the media about Hillary’s extracurricular activities. Not to forget the threat of Hillary’s enemy, Aaron’s parents and of course Kellan’s father and brothers. Will Hillary be able to clear her name and protect her men? Will Aaron get the revenge he seeks on his parents and shut down their despicable business deals? Will Kellan finally admit his feelings and take his life back? Will Lucky be able to charm his way through things this time? Fantastic end to an amazing trilogy!!! This entire trilogy had me hooked from the start and didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to see what Cora comes out with next!!!

As always, a great book, a great series and a great conclusion, if I thought the plot it was great in B1 and B2..man this one is just a masterpiece 10/10 not only this but the writing, inner monologues the differences between our anti-heros and how they complement each other 👌🏻 The way I laughed specially with Lucky haha

I loveeeee their dynamic and the spice, the tension 🥵… don’t get me wrong I love them all BUT I was just waiting for the knight and the king kiss/ smeg scene and it did not disappoint

I’m so glad the King pull out a Ragnar Lodbrok move hahaha I was like 👏🏻👏🏻 (I hated Antonio so bad that I wanted to help them 🤣 🤣

What a finale! To Claim a King the final installment in Cora Flynn’s All the Queen’s Men series came out swinging. It delivered everything—spice, heartache, suspense, intensity… and did I mention SPICE? Hillary and her men truly fight for it all: for their love, their lives, and for their home, Carlisle.

This book is packed with emotion—some moments tugged at my heartstrings, while others completely shattered them in the best way possible. Cora did a phenomenal job tying up every loose end, and the journey she took us on was wild, addictive, and utterly satisfying.

I adored this entire series, but dare I say… this final book stole the crown for favorite. I’m a sucker for a fierce, kickass FMC, and when she’s backed by not one, not two, but three devoted Alpha males ready to worship their queen? That’s my definition of perfection.

I highly recommend this why-choose masterpiece—5/5 for plot, spice, and everything deliciously naughty. 👑🔥

Oh my goodness!! This was an amazing read and an among way to finish off the series. The way the characters developed in this book was written beautifully and don’t get me started on the relationship growths! The plot was executed perfectly and it was so easy to follow along without getting confused. You absolutely fall in love with the characters all over again and the scenes with the 🌶️ amazing. It wasn’t overwhelming to read and had the perfect balance of plot to spice ratio. Overall I loved the ending and the entire series was an emotional rollercoaster that you’ll love.

The end of Hillary’s story, I actually went back and reread the first two books because I wanted to spend more time with these characters before I had to say goodbye.
This hurt my heart, everyone went through so much, but especially Hillary. From threats to her business, her mission, her physical self and her heart. But I think my heart broke most for Kellan, he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and doesn’t know how to love or protect those he cares about. He is betrayed by those around him and hunted by his family. I just wanted to hug him, (well mainly just hug him 😉😉).
That simmering attraction between the guys continues to simmer, becoming hotter and hotter 🔥🔥🔥 and omg did it get hot! 🥵 Aaron omg!
Lucky continued to make me laugh and he is a true hero exactly when it’s needed the most.
This was the hea that Hillary deserved and I loved it.

To claim a king was such an amazing finish to an amazing series!
I have been an arc reader for all 3 books, and I have never been so excited to receive a text from Cora letting us know they are out!

The twists and turns and emotional rollercoaster of this book was insane.
Going from banter and laughter to be locked in a warehouse… literally.
The cliff hanger from book 2 into book 3 physically made my heart hurt because why did you have to do that to us!!

All three of these men are OBSESSED with Hillary and I am in love with it, even though they sometimes do stupid shit they always have her best interests.
I loved at the end of the book that you could see every single one get their own closure and peace with the people who hurt them most.
Seeing Kellan finally being vulnerable was the cherry on the cake.
