That what friends are for
Keep It Cute was such an enjoyable read for me. This story follows three best friends as they navigate life, love, and the messy in‑between moments that test their bond. What I appreciated most was how honestly the book explored each woman’s personal struggles — and how those struggles ripple through their tight circle. It felt real, relatable, and true to how friendships actually work.
As someone who has lived in Atlanta my entire life, I absolutely loved how accurately the city was portrayed. The author captured the energy, the culture, and the little details that only locals truly understand. It made the story feel grounded and familiar in the best way.
The drama, the relationship challenges, the moments of trying to “figure your shit out” — all of it felt authentic. These women were flawed, funny, emotional, and determined, and watching them grow made the story even more compelling.
Overall, Keep It Cute is a heartfelt, drama-filled, and beautifully real story about friendship, self-discovery, and the work it takes to become the best version of yourself.

Each woman is battling their own idea of perfection. Jace is looking for the perfect romance while being guarded due to her past. Tiana is actually her own worst enemy. She is the problem. She isn’t mindful of how her behavior is her biggest downfall. Lauren is tired of playing small. She isn’t just a pretty face.
The pacing is medium to slow. The complete novel feels like a season of a TV show. Each chapter is an episode. One overall arching theme is the importance of sisterhood. Whether right or wrong, these ladies always have each other‘s back.

4.5 ⭐️ This book had me going through it 🤣. Keep It Cute follows three female best friends from college in their late 20s navigating the absolute chaos of their lives! And let me tell you, these women CANNOT get it together!
This story is a beautiful, tangled mess of secrets, cheating, and bombshells that had me gasping! Just when I thought the drama couldn't get any wilder at the halfway point, I was proven WRONG!
What I loved most about these ladies was the dynamic of their friendship. They held each other accountable, and stood 10 toes down behind one another. Nobody was messing with they click!
Through all the ups and downs (it was a lot 🤣) they proved that when everything else fails, you’ve always got your girls. Be sure to check it out! Everyone deserves a friend group like this!

Tiana, Lauren and Jace live in Atlanta and have been friends for a very long time.
This story made me go through so many emotions. Anger at some of the messy life choices made. Sadness when life hit them hard, and happiness at the bond they shared. I definitely plan on reading book two in the near future.

I loved this book! I found ways to relate to each of the girls in different ways and their situations were both unique and relatable. It’s also always nice to read a story about a group of close knit women all making it happen for themselves. Definitely check it out!

This was a good read! At times, the women felt a little childish when it came to handling their emotions. As someone who just turned 30, some of the decisions they made had me irritated 😭 That being said, I did enjoy the overall storyline. My biggest issue was that some of the conversations started to feel repetitive, and I found myself wanting more emotional depth. We touched on a lot of important topics, but it never felt like we dug beneath the surface. Lauren’s character growth was easily my favorite part of the book. Honestly, I kept reading because I wanted to see how her journey would unfold. I also wanted more from Tiana’s character. Since she’s a psychiatrist, I expected her profession to play a bigger role in the story. Even when we saw her at work or giving advice to the other women, it felt surface level. A lot of the conversations centered around appearances and confidence, and while yes, we get they’re all bad bitches 🤏🏾, I wanted to see them unpack the deeper issues they were all dealing with. Overall, I enjoyed the story, but I think it would’ve been even stronger if the emotional conversations had gone beyond the surface.
