The closer I get to the truth, the further away it feels. Every step I take is met with resistance—not just from the monsters still chasing me, but from the very men who have sworn to protect me. Especially Bones.

Cold. Controlled. Ruthless.

He watches me like I’m the problem he’s been ordered to solve, not the woman desperate to find her missing sister. And maybe I am the problem—because I won’t stop. Not for him. Not for anyone.

But when a lead surfaces, one so risky even I can’t believe I’m willing to chase it, he doesn’t shut me down.

He should. Especially when the others are so violently opposed.
Instead, he offers help. Conditions attached. Motives unclear.

For once, Bones and I are on the same page, even if that page is stained with blood. Maybe he wants me to fail. Maybe he wants me gone. Or maybe, somewhere under all that armor, he understands what it means to lose someone and not be able to let go.

Either way, I’m taking the chance. Because this might be my last shot at finding Amorette before she disappears forever.

And if I have to break every rule—and every heart—to get to her, then so be it.

I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

True Unit with a soft centre 🥰
Ooooo Grace really finds her strength in this book, she follows the guys down a slippery slope when she begins to take an active part in dishing out some justice and the search for more clues as to the whereabouts of Amorette 🔪🙈 there are some strong scenes that move the plot forward in this book for instance the fact there appears to be more to the twins capture and sale than others they’ve unearthed 😔 there’s some dramatic action sevens that keep the pace moving and tension up! But I think the real highlight of this midway book is the development of the relationships 🥰 as a consequence of the last books cliffhanger Grace and Bones are forced together and you really see a softer side of him behind that stoic mask although he’s clearly not one to admit his feelings 😅 you also see them all really come to the terms with sharing and what it is that each other offers to Grace 🥰 also get first group scene in this one 🌶️
We also get a bit more insight into the guy’s backstory as a unit as some buried betrayals resurface in their pursuit of the villains 😣 will be interesting to see how it all plays out especially with how it ended!

4.25 STARS.

This series continues to raise the bar. What I love most is that it’s not just a spicy why-choose, it’s a full-on action-adventure thrill ride where the FMC just so happens to fall for four men along the way.

We pick up right where the last book left off and are thrown right back into the chaos. Grace’s connections with each of the guys are deepening, and I especially loved seeing her bond with Bones start to take shape. He’s been the last holdout, and I am living for the slow burn of watching that man finally break.

I also really love how Grace is becoming more involved with the collective, not just as the love interest but as a real part of the team. She’s not sitting on the sidelines; she’s contributing, planning, and proving herself right alongside them.

If you’re a fan of fast-paced, high-stakes action flicks, and you want that mixed with romance and a seriously addictive why-choose dynamic... this series needs to be on your list.

Thankfully, I’m still loving how the story is progressing. The character growth is great. I do wish some of the relationships were a little further along but seeing as there are 2 more books, I appreciate the fact that there’s plenty of room to grow, and things to look forward to.

I finished this in less than a day, and I don’t want to wait for the next one. Aghhhh:((

I feel like the story really started to progress and move along in this book. Grace was a much bigger part of the action, which I thought was great. I was already happy with how involved she had been in the first two books, but this time she was an active participant and not an innocent dragged into gunfire.

She and Bones finally connected further as well, and we finally saw some of his stone exterior crack.
He was actually really sweet, and may even be my favourite now.
I also liked how the guys opened up more about their pasts, particularly about the incident that injured Alphabet and Doc.
I have already read the Vandal’s series and Doc/Mickey didn’t talk about it a whole lot.
By the way, I know exactly how far along in the vandals series this book series is now. After Doc’s phone call to Alphabet. And it’s like I’m reading that book all over again, and I still remember how shocked I was when I read what had happened.

I loved it when Grace learned Voodoo’s name in the second book, because I felt like they were connecting when he told her. And I loved how Lunchbox told her his name in this. And that she started calling him by his real name in her inner monologue🤭

Even though they technically made headway with the Amorette situation, I wish it had led to them getting more answers than the fact that there are no answers associating with her yet.
I technically knew they wouldn’t have any answers until after they go meet the Vandals, cause I remember Grace having a conversation with Emersyn where she mentioned trying to find her sister or something.
But I wish them going to Braxton Harbour had been included in this book, cause I have already read parts of what they did there, and I don’t want it to take up unnecessary space in the next book.
If it will take up a lot of space then I need the next book to be long. Like, 500+ pages or something.
I could literally read about Grace and her story for 1000+ pages.

I just need the next book to be released already dammit.

There is a lot more action in this book. Grace is participating more and more and isn't letting the guys push her to the side to protect her. The guys are determined to help her find her sister Ammorette. Unfortunately, the harder they look, the more questions they have. They have found so many connections that it's hard to follow them all. Some of these connections are from their own pasts. Grace had become part of the team. She cares for Alphabet, Lunchbox, Voodoo, Bones, and of course their dog Goblin. It's not just about finding Amorette anymore. She also wants to help them get their revenge on the men who betrayed them in the past and are threatening her present and future.

3.0 ⭐️ (Overall)
2.0 🌶️(Reverse Harem)

I’ve really enjoyed the Blood Brothers series so far, but this third book didn’t quite grab me the way the others did (so I’m not sure I will be counting down the days until the next release). While I still love the concept of these big military men and the bond between them, some of the relationship arcs here felt a little uneven, and the storyline a bit familiar to the first two books 🫠 I am a sucker for a dark why choose romance tho so I mean I still had a fabulous time.

Action packed!

Were getting closer to answers.

Spice picked up a little in this one.

I'm enjoying the characters growth.

However, can we get rid of using the military nicknames. Lunchbox, and Alphabet might fit their duties but they are so much more than these elementary names. I mean "Legend" 😍... Why are we still saying Lunchbox! Bones and Voodoo are still cool enough but to deepen the connection we need the birth names.

Oh wow there is a lot going on is this book. Lots of action, blood and some seriously steamy scenes. Grace and the boys are learning to trust each other more with each mission they go on. We finally get some answers but twice as many questions. Can't wait to see what happens next.

That ending was very anti climatic and dull. I hope the next book gets better after investing this much time already.

Own by Heather Long book 3 in Blòód Brother series.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶🌶🌶💀💀
Own continues with the same adrenalin pumping chaos as Lure ended. On the run, unsure if they are all got out. However, Bones and Grace's dynamics have changed. Instead of pushing her away he is testing her, comforting her, but most of all keeps her included. Grace's character growth in Own is exponential. They plan, execute plan and end up with way more questions. With some answers they move forward and create new plans. Yes, a lot of planning. However, things are definite developing fast. Revenge gotten, ending one head of this hydra and finding love and family. Addictive reading, unpredictable and unputdownable, perfectly created symphony of action, spice and strength.
Trope:
Forced Proximity. Trauma bonding. Action-packed. Enemies to lovers. MFM. One bed. Dog as the MVP.
Quotes:
“I’m going to kidnap her at some point,” he said. “Sharing’s fine, as long as some of you remember how to share.” I didn’t smile. Just gave him a long, pointed stare. “I’ll bring her back,” he added, then smirked. “And yeah, I’ll make sure you know exactly where I take her.”

“Next time, give her a break before she starts limping like she took shrapnel.” Grace eased down into the chair opposite me and winked. “That’s not limp—that’s swagger.”

“Gracie?”“Yeah?”“You are ours. Don’t forget it.”

Grace has crossed the line from being a victim, swept up in the violence to being an active participant. She wants to be involved, be a partner - regain control. When the house is overrun, Grace has to run with the last of the men she would have chosen to be alone with. But she and Bones soon come to an understanding. He pushes her, she pushes him, and he starts testing her. He offers unexpected support, comfort, and strength. She proves she's stronger than she appears. And by the time they reunite with the others, the group dynamics have changed once again. Now the team has a new member. And a plan. Time to go on the offensive.

It's books like this one that prove I have fictional bloodlust. I do enjoy vengeance and righteous assassinations, especially when they are accompanied by a healthy dose of lust on the side. This series is the perfect blend of intrigue, violence, sexy times, and emotional connections. Grace has found her place among these men. She's on a path of self-discovery. And the men are finding unexpected happiness and acceptance. I can't wait to see what comes next because I can't figure out which big bad put in the original Grace order or the piece of the missing sister and that's a huge appeal to this series. Heather is a clever writer who never fails to provide me with an excellent read.

The further along we get in this series the more i fall in love with these characters, the better we get to know them, their backstories, it gives me so much more insight on why they act the way they do, why they feel the way they do. So first up Grace has become such a great character, like she has really grown so much, her strength, her spirit it really pulled me in, in this book. Like she's so invested, so sassy, so strong, ugh no wonder these guys fell for her and continue to fall for her even more. The scene with lunchbox and AB was STELLAR! Voodoo what can i say, he is always just the right amount of everything. But Bones, Boney boy really took the cake for me in this one, the banter, the tension ooohhh dear, I feel like i always get more drawn to the characters that try to keep they walls up for as long as they can for them to still crumble in the end, now we're not there yet but, we have already come a long way. So i can't wait for the next book!

The story has become so much more than i actually thought it would be and i love it, it's dark and painfull and realistic and i think that's what makes this series for me so much more.... I'm obsessed with it, the heartbreak, the pain, the past lives AND what's still to come......

I absolutely loved Own.

**end of spoiler**

Now that we have that out of the way (i would have never forgiven the author for such heartbreak) i have to say that in this book we see how the relatiosship between Gracie and Boney Boy progresses mainly.
I love their explosive chemistry and the push and pull the have between them!
We get to see the dynamics change between all of them and how Gracie fits in their tight unit.
There is sex, fun, ache, hearbreak, passion and action and of course the cliffy which for this author i would say it is a mild one.
I really can't wait to see the vandals and who ever other character of hers or others we are going to see in the future and i really want to see the re union of the girls and how the blood brothers and the bastard brothers will face off.(thats going to be fun!)
The story has its ups and its downs and its one amazing emotional rollecoaster that will take you on a wild, hot ride!
I really can't wait to see how this story will progress.

With us having just surpassed the half way point in the series with Own, we saw plenty of action in the form of taking out baddies, gathering lots of intel and making a lot of progress in their mission. But it now feels like their mission has morphed into something so much bigger.

This book was like a turning point for Grace, Bones, Alphabet, Lunchbox and Voodoo. Grace is stepping up to become an equal to the guys and is becoming a valued member of the team. Obviously not physically or skillfully but she is become a contributing, useful member in other ways and I love that for her. And oh boy has the dynamic between them shifted or what???? I mean the chemistry between Grace and Voodoo was sizzling but now...... even Boney Boy is beginning to catch the feels for our girl.

This series is well written and the world building and character development has been steadily increasing throughout. Since having met Grace and the guys in The Vandals, I was curious to say the least but now that we are standing at a point in the series where we are getting some real answers, I am super invested and can't wait for the next book!!!

Let’s lock and go..

I always love the third book in a series and Own raised the bar and then some!

Seeing my girl Grace being straight into the thick of the action had me feeling like a proud mum, I wanted to yell “you’re doing amazing sweetie!” The progress of this over the books though has been perfect, Grace has never been a doormat but instead getting stronger and more involved each time conflict rises and doesn’t just let the guys push her to one side and not get involved.

Learning more about the guys past was interesting, especially as I’ve read Vandals (my happy little heart at the end hearing Docs phone call did a jump, and Grace saying we’ve been focused on my family for a while, I want to help with yours.. ahhh I love her so much) and met them briefly there first so it was great to see them open up here, although it maybe looks like the past could be coming back to the present… can’t wait to see how that goes down.

I still love these characters so much, and I can’t wait for Oath now for hopefully, bless her heart, Grace to get some answers and less questions about her sister.

Can’t wait for the next book!

Scorching hot. A cool down will be needed. The heat definitely picks up so prepare yourselves, with fans and whatnot. The chemistry was intense and I was all for it.
I loved how Grace was in this book, it felt like she came into her own with a fierce determination to be strong, with a little bit of snark and knowing exactly when to push a certain bossy grump. They became a team and I loved each moment she had with her love interests and I can’t wait to see the rest of her story unfold. I loved the resilience that Grace showed in this book and how she takes control and establishes herself in the team. This book was *chef’s kiss* and I know the rest of the series will be just as amazing.

I don’t know how but the Blood Brothers Series by Heather Long just keeps getting better and better. I felt like this book was Grace’s path to discovery. She really comes into her own by showing a fierce understanding for what needs to be done and how it needs to be done. I also enjoyed watching her navigate her relationships within the group itself. She has consistently refused to back down or cower and this book continued to drive home that point. The spice was kicked up a notch in the book as well. Although the cliffy isn’t brutal in this one it was an absolutely perfect ending place to propel us into what comes next!

This book started with the bang it ended with in the previous book. It was action-packed and filled with plenty of steam. I just love how b@d@$$ Gracie is becoming. The guy's are all very different but they are all on the same page when it comes to her. They're protective , loyal and definitely their inner grey moments keep popping out. I love the dynamic they have when it comes to life and work. This book is soooooo hot and had me gripped from the very first page. Once again can't wait for the next book with that ending , i need more. Fantastic five star read that I would definitely recommend. I just didn't want the book to end , I devoured it within one go.

Oh she is definitely theirs!

Well, well, well Mr. Bones.... Gracie definitely caught them all and it was so worth it. I practically cackled with glee while kicking my feet throughout this book. It was also full of action, surprises and heat. Everything we can expert from another amazing Heather Long series. Nearing the end of the book had me biting my nails. Would the end hurt or...?? Surprisingly it was a soft ball that had me smiling because Yes! So many possible spoilers on everything I want to fan girl over so keeping this short and super vague - just go read it! Then reach out so we can discuss ;)

I wasn’t initially sold on this series but as it’s gone on I am being sucked in. I love Grace! I love the relationship building with each of the guys, even Bones. Alphabet, Lunchbox, Voodoo and Bones all have their talents and I love the family they’ve built. Grace fits in better than they could have imagined. She doesn’t scare easily and her strength is shining through. I don’t know where this sfory is going but I’m desperate to know the ending!! And hopefully see the Vandals in book 4.
I’m also keen to read the other series about Amorette but I’m holding off until boox four as I don’t want any spoilers.

There was so much happening in this book! Lots of glorious action (of the v!olence variety) as well as the other kind 👀 We find out more about how Grace ended up where she did in book one and who else is connected to it. We also get more of the guys’ history, which has some surprises!

I’m enjoying the way this series is playing out, especially with the way the relationships are developing between Gracie and the guys. Definitely have some obstacles to work through along with continuing their mission, but each book is paced really well so that the story flows without feeling like it’s being rushed or dragged out.

The spice is 🧨🧨🧨 and I need the next book, like yesterday 🫣

I'm surprised by how good books two and three were. Like action movies, only with really explicit love scenes.

I always love the part when the fictional team starts planning their operation, as well as seeing the chaacters think on their feet when the plan goes off the rails. In this case, there were three different operations, and each had me on the edge of my seat.

I also enjoyed Grace and Bones getting some alone time away from the team, givng them space to get to know each other and bond. Well, not quite alone, but Goblin is the best member of the team, so that doesn't count.

Ready to jump right into the next book in this series.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, Grace. You are something else! You really do hold all the cards with these guys but you have yet to understand that.

I don’t know where to start to tell you about this story but it is as exciting as the other books in this series. Gah, there’s ups and downs, intrigue, lots of cloak and dagger – heavy on the dagger! - and danger but I loved how Gracie is...let’s call it... refining her feelings for the guys. And the “boys”? They are already gone for her! Can’t wait for the next book. Loved it!

Damn, another great book!! I read this one from start to finish in one day, I actually just started the series two days ago lol. So clearly, the books are addictive!! I really loved all of the action in this book, and of course, the romance was fabulous as always. The smut was great, too, but it always is with Heather’s books. I’m super excited for the next book, although I’m selfishly hoping it’s published sooner than October because I love this series and I’m impatient. Anyway, another 5/5 book!!

O.M.G. This series gets better with each book. I'm loving Grace's story so far with the Blood Brothers. I highly recommend reading this series if you haven't yet. It's available on KU, so you must get it. This series features Grace Black, a model and twin. Her identical twin sister, Amorette Black, has her own story in Bastard Brothers of Carnage by Blake Blessing. That is a completed series. Poor Grace has lived through some severe trauma so far, but what I love most about her is her "steel spine" and not letting her break. I cannot wait for the next book. This will be a 5-book series.

5+ ⭐

This was just explosive as the other 2 book's in this series. Grace is still trying to find her sister Amorette, but every twist and turn is coming up nothing, but she's not giving up as she and the guy's are also getting closer, even Bones as they try to navigate through the intel of where the trafficking had started to find out Grace is in the center of it, and these guy's are all to willing to work their way up to take them all out, but along the way they get a few surprises. I cannot wait for the next and final book.

Phenomenal. Delightful. Suspense filled. Hot. Fantastic. Doesn’t matter the words you use, this book and this series are all described using those words and more. Grace and her guys are amazing, some of my favorites to date. The development of the series and the characters is great, very well done.the suspense and action really ramps up with this book, and it’s flat out so good, it will make your toes curl.

Oh Gracie girl, you have yourself one heck of a group of guys!!! Every book I come out with another favorite! 😂 But honestly they are all keepers and you all fit! The strength you have gained through-out this series is amazing.

That said I never expected any less with Heather’s writing. She is truly a mastermind of words. I’m so excited to see what is to come in Oath, and how they all tie together.

I also love the snippets we get of a certain photographer in this book! IYKYK.

Come on!!

That ending sucked monkey balls!! Not a cliffhanger of all cliffhangers. Nothing to keep me on edge.
Look, I’m not hating on the entire book. The book itself is ok. The ending sucked and it makes me feel like do I want to continue when book 4 comes out.
Heather, you’re amazing. It must be a book 3 type of thing. I see it in a few series I’ve read. By the 3rd book, it doesn’t have the same focus as the first two
Wish we could do half Star ratings. 3.5 stars!!!
