The Cromwells are back and better than ever. In this episode we find out more about Tae-Tay's father, the mystery of why Douglas wants a puppy and we get to know Thurston's best man, and cousin Omari. In the meantime, Chantal Mooreland is introduced in the story as a potential new friend for Tae-Tay, who is fighting not only the monsters under her bed, but the ones she wakes up and find standing over it. The fun and laughs are plenty as we head back to New York to spend some time with the Cromwells.

So this installment we are introduced to new characters involved in the lives of Tae-Tay and Thurston. Not wanting to give the story away, I have to say no one has comedic writing talents like Ms. Gaines. I made the mistake of reading the camping scene on the train. I tried so hard not to laugh out loud ...I can barely right this review without laughing in recollection. I will say it was too short for my liking but maybe I will be able to catch my breathe from laughing before the next story installment.
I tell you Olivia Gaines if I have to have a new tickle box installed in my body it will be all your fault. I got hooked when I read My Mail Order Wife and now following Mr. Thurston Cromwell, his mail order wife TaeTay Cromwell, his newly adopted son Douglas Cromwell and his favorite cousin Omari Cromwell Barber extrodinaire who takes it upon himself to redirect an unruly young man who enters his barbershop with his mother and finds himself falling for both the mother and child. I enjoyed this story so very much and in more places than I can name I was laughing so hard that I had to hold my stomach as it was really beginning to ache. I loved that TaeTay has found a safe haven for herself and her sister's son that she and Thurston have claimed as their own due to her sister being deceased. I am looking forward to reading more about how the relationship between Ms. Chantal Mooreland and Mr. Omari Cromwell will turn out especially as they have now admitted an attraction to each other and both are working on the campaign of Thurston's run for Congress in Bklyn, NY. I wish I had known of these books before they were out of stock I would love to have them for my library. Another great read penned by you Mrs. Gaines, thank you very, very much!
Dang gone it!!! I did not see any of this coming. This author can spin a tale that causes to many emotions to surface. You laugh, you cry, you think and you hope. Good read....
The Author did it again! I want more of this group, now that I am now I into this group, I love them! There is more to come, right? There is no coincidences, it is meant to be!
Very short, very well written and ssssoooo full of feel good goodness!! I am a fan of Mrs. Gaines, she always bring her work of art together into a beautiful picture.
I laughed out loud several times. I'm loving this series, and cannot wait for the next one to drop. This book introduces us to Chantal and her son Cody, who is rebelling to the max. It begins with a haircut and discipline, and ends with a lot of laughter for the reader. I loved the wit of Taylah, and the effectiveness of the dads. I highly recommend this book, although it can be read as a standalone, you should definitely start at the beginning with the first book.
Cutting It Close (The Value of a Man Book 3) is a humorous romantic comedy novella that earned five stars. I enjoy reading about the Cromwells and I find them very entertaining. I am looking forward to the next installment in the series. I would recommend this novella to any who enjoys a good laugh in their day.
OMG Olivia Gaines, somehow I always find myself dying laughing at some point in your books...... Thank you. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the story to continue. Hopefully not a long wait, but no rush because I want, no need it to be good.
I'm trying to stop laughing long enough to write this, LOL! Ms. Gaines is off the chain. I loved this book, just like all her others. Chantal, Cody and Omari and Taylah are great additions. The guys in the barber shop are hilarious. Can't wait for the next installment. If you want to laugh until you have tears in your eyes, read one of Ms Gaines books.
Awesome book. I want more. Please tell me there is a book four. I read book one awhile ago. I found Book two and three by accident. I am so glad I did. Awesome Awesome is the only way to summarize This story. You are very good at what you do. Keep writing extraordinary stories
Good read, these characters are so real it's as if they come to life whilst reading the book, I'm a big fan of the author and didn't think I would find a couple as much fun as her Blakemores but these are just awesome, can't wait until the next installment!
I waited a long time for this book and Mrs.Gaines did not disappoint. My only problem is it's not long enough and I will have to wait God knows how long for the next book ....but I know it will be worth the wait.
