Life has been a relentless storm for Kavalli, each tragedy crashing over her like a wave, leaving her battered and bruised.

Just when it seems like the sun might finally peek through the clouds, the unthinkable happens, and her world is shattered once again. Years later, she's learned to make peace with the wreckage of her dreams. Her life may not be what she once imagined, but she clings to the hope that those who've wronged her will one day face the consequences of their actions.

Meanwhile, Snoh's future has always been mapped out for him. Raised in a world where duty outweighs passion, he knows love is a luxury few can afford. Even though a fleeting glimpse of a young Kavalli once stole his breath away, Snoh remains resolute in his commitment to marry for obligation, not desire.

Both Kavalli and Snoh have carefully crafted their destinies, but when fate pulls them together in the most unexpected of ways, they find themselves standing at the altar, bound by words neither of them ever saw coming.

text KKP to 22828 for updates on new releases, Sneak Peeks, & so much more.

Kellz Kimberly 24, fell in love with urban fiction after reading 'Baby Girl' by Jihad. The was only the first of many urban fiction novels she fell in love with. Eventually Kellz took her love for reading it and redirected it to a pen & paper. Dropping her first book in 2014 Kellz Kimberly has been building a name for herself ever since. With 27 books under her belt & 9 of them being Amazon Urban Fiction Number One Best Seller, Kellz Kimberly is just getting started.

She is slowly but surly taking the Urban fiction world over by storm. She recently took home the AAMBC BreakOut Author of The Year award, solidifying her as a force to be reckon with. This is only the start for Kellz Kimberly, she is always working and coming with new material to give readers then same feeling she got when she read her first urban fiction book.

Not only is she an author but she is a publisher as well. She works with her authors to help them pursue their dreams and encourages them to tell their story in a form of another story.

At only 24 she has accomplished a lot but she's nowhere near done with her list of goals. For her writing is so much more than just telling a story. It's about being able to have a reader full in love with a set of characters so much that they feel invested in the book. For her that is the greatest feeling of.

The best way to sum up Kellz Kimberly is 'She Writes, She Grinds, She Slays"

So I did like this book. However, the FMC was soooo annoyingly naive. The build up was there but I didn’t like the way it ended. We waited so long for the long drawn out scene between Snoh and Simone but it was cut short in my opinion. The book kept my attention and I was eager to know how things ended. Solid 4 ⭐️

This was my first book by Kellz Kimberly, and from the moment it opened, I was locked in. The story follows Kavalli, a woman who has survived loss after loss. Just when she’s learned to live with the weight of her past, she’s then thrown back into the path of Snoh, the man she believes is responsible for her father’s death. Snoh, raised on responsibility and tradition, has his own reasons for seeking revenge and vindication. Their paths were never meant to cross like this, but one twist after another pulls them toward an unexpected, life-changing union neither saw coming.

I listened via audiobook, narrated by Ace Bentley and Lauryn Nichols, and loved it. Lauryn especially? I’m really loving her as a narrator.

Kavalli and Snoh themselves were hilarious. Kavalli stayed playing with fire, testing Snoh like she didn’t know who she was dealing with. But honestly, they were both guilty of tugging on each other’s emotions. And Snoh? He was unhinged in the best, most protective way, like “you might lose a toe behind Valli” unhinged. That man did not play when it came to her.

What really sealed it for me was how the book balanced the emotional chaos with secrets, twists, and the right amount of suspense. I enjoyed this book so much that I went ahead and purchased the physical copy.

3.75 - Listened via hoopla. Narrators are Ace Bentley and Lauryn Nichols, i really enjoy her. Both did an awesome job.

First read by this author. The story and writing are solid as well as entertaining. Kept my interest all the way through. Snoh and Kavalli with their back and forth was a little funny. Snoh was a good guy. Crazy and possessive, but nonetheless a good guy. Loved that he wasn’t hiding how he felt about Kavalli.

Now Kavalli on the other hand i was trying to give her some grace but she was getting on my nerves. She lost a lot and dealt with some much at a young age. However, at what point do you grow up a little. Wishing her character grew more because her love for cooking was so sweet bringing a lightness to the story. The book was long enough for us to experience character growth.

The action/climax was the other thing that took so long to get to. Then when it happens it’s over with the snap of your fingers. Outside of all that it was still a good read. If nothing else be entertained.

Enjoyed the story. Unfortunately the male narrator pronounced Kavalli’s name several different ways throughout the story !
