Taboo at its Finest!!

Daddy's Good Girl by Mae K. Knight is exactly what you're expecting, but hotter! Raise your hand if you can honestly deny you don't gasp a little when a hot man calls you, "Good Girl." That's what I thought; not one hand to be found from where I'm standing!

This is a quickie, spicy, taboo, step-dad/step-daughter story that is guaranteed to give you what you need ... regarding taboo, that is. 😉

Definitely one of those books that have you questioning yourself. Becca and her stepdad Ray get real close after her mom dies. They definitely grieve together among other things together. Array definitely has a way with words and he can back those words up 110%. This book definitely for everybody.

Stepdad stories are always my favorite 😌

I will say tho I’ve read a few that involve recently losing the mom/wife — and its always felt icky (that’s the only way I can describe it), but Daddy’s Good Girl doesn’t have that icky vibe at all.
It was written well in a way that still respects their mom/wife and the fact that they are grieving — while establishing their new relationship.

Ok so I am totally new to Mae’s writing but all I can say is this is taboo at its finest!! Daddy's Good Girl by Mae K. Knight is exactly what you're expecting, but way hotter! This was a quick but spicy read, and every second was worth it.

Ray… damn. He ticked every single box of what a stepdad shouldn’t be—but exactly what you’d fantasize he is. That man, pure filth with a protective streak, and that one morning scene still replays in my head like a sin on loop.

Becca, broken after losing her mom, left to grieve in silence—but who better to fill the cracks in her heart than the one man she shouldn’t want. Her stepfather. Yeah, I said it.

Mae didn’t just write a spicy, forbidden romance—she gave it depth. Real pain. Real healing. These two didn’t just fall for each other, they saved each other in the only way they knew how.

And that ending, soft, sinful, and absolutely perfect.

Daddy’s Good Girl is a taboo short story by Mae K. Knight.
After the loss of her mother, FMC Rebecca begins to feel a growing attraction toward her stepfather, MMC Ray. At first, they each try to process their grief on their own—until something shifts between them, and things start to get spicy.

To be honest, I was skeptical at first. The mother dies, and just a month later, the grieving husband and daughter begin to grow closer... really close. But once again, author Mae K. Knight proves how much plot and character development she can pack into a short story. I enjoyed every single page and definitely want to see more of Becca and Ray!

Spice Rating: 🔥 5/5

Tropes:
• Dual POV, first person
• Taboo, forbidden
• Stepdaughter x stepfather
• praise

What I love about Mae K Knight’s stories the most is that I know I will be pulled in immediately with whatever is happening. I found out the mom is out of the picture because a drunk driver killed her, so the husband and his step-daughter grieve together. It’s sad and forbidden all at the same time, so boom, I’m in. And it’s 99 pages. I have time for that. There’s a lot of smut, and it’s well-detailed. I liked it. I liked it a lot.

This has to be my favorite taboo book from Mae. It was so insanely hot! None of the chemistry felt forced between the characters and omg the teasing, the dialogue 10/10. I knew that spice was just gonna continue to hit after chapter 6. Just kept getting better and better. I also love how this book never shied away from the grief of losing Monica. It was the reason the MCs ended up together and that was never forgotten.

This was a quick spicey read, i enjoyed it. The mcs are grieving and find comfort in each other. It's a bit of a different take for me with this type of taboo. Normally the mother is horrible so you can sort of understand why the main couple gets together, but the mother was loved in this so it was a different perspective. Everyone deals with grief in their own way.

This one was taboo for sure but definitely toed the line. While the spice was definitely there for a short story, I didn’t really feel the connection between the two mains. The MMC basically using the FMC as a surrogate at first made my eye twitch…and that ending gave me the ick, but I guess whatever helps yall heal 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ lol

Wow. I know I’m asking for trouble by willingly picking up a taboo stepfather-stepdaughter book & make no mistake, trouble was brought. Along with substantial heat.

This is a quick (REAL quick), punchy novel & if you like pure taboo smut, look no further. Recommend for you filthy minds out there …

What a quick read. This book is definitely taboo considering the relationship between Becca and her uncle Ray.

It was interesting to see what grief did to them and how it brought them closer. Aunt Andi coming into the picture to scoop Becca up for the summer was interesting.

The graveyard scene was crazy to say the least, but the book did end good.

Delicious and very taboo—it gave me all the feelings I want out of a novella. Did I question the heat? Absolutely. Did I love it? F yeah.

It’s hard for an author to get the small details I crave into a novella of this length and keep it spicy, but this was great. Mae K Knight did it. Can’t wait to dive into the next one.

They say everyone grieves differently. This book just took it to a whole other level and I’m not mad about it. I enjoyed that. It wasn’t just smut, and they actually showed the grieving process between the characters.
