Robert Sneddon, the author of DNA Genetic Engineering does an excellent job portraying the DNA with pictures and an extensive amount of reading. I love that each page starts with a subtitle in bold to show the students what the book will be discussing over. There are also little colorful side notes of the vocabulary that are important and going more into depth of the book. They show images of the code of DNA and how to read it, as well as pairing them up to identify which sequence of RNA or DNA it is. The vibrant images above show the clear and colorful DNA strands and what they look like in real life. I love how the timeline of the specific events of when genetics evolved and modernized. The glossary provides all the vocabulary in the book in case the reader may need help understanding the word. I would have this book in my library because it is a bigger book and it would be hard to keep their attention. If we were focusing on DNA and cells during one week, I would have this book in my science section to find out more knowledge.
