The newest book from Tyra Lynn is the 2nd book in the Honey Groves series and it was the first book of Tyra Lynn I have read.
The book follows Emma (single POV), she’s divorced and moved to a small appartment with her son Milo. By accident, she gets introduced to her upstairs neighbor Henry. They immediately feel a connection. Throughout the story, their chemistry grows, but they both struggle with the timing. Emma is recently divorced and she’s not sure she’s ready for a new relationship, she wants to put Milo first and be there for him. Henry is a writer and he’s only in Honey Groves for a couple of months to finish his book… they have to work through their issues if they really want to be together…
Unfortunately this book just wasn’t for me. I didn’t feel a conncetion with both Emma and Henry, and I had a hard time getting through the book. I didn’t trust Henry and I was waiting for the shoe to drop, he had a lot of red flags for me. I found their relationship a bit weird, they only went on 1 or 2 dates, Henry spent almost no time with Milo but suddenly they’re each other’s great love. It all felt a bit weird for me. And also, I found the plot nonexistent.
I feel so sad because I see a lot of good reviews, so I do really hope you enjoy it. 🩷

This overall was a cute new neighbors/strangers to lovers story, but I just didn’t connect with the characters or get into it quite as much as I had with the first book of this interconnected series. It is the second book, but can be read as a stand-alone.
It was a light and easy read. I did enjoy a lot of the overarching themes like starting over and self discovery. And liked Emma and Wren’s friendship and seeing how that continue from the first book.
I really wish we would have gotten dual POV as maybe could’ve connected more to the romance if had Henry’s views too.
Overall a sweet read, but not one that will stick with me for a long time.

A light, heartfelt romance about a newly divorced mom and the charming neighbor who makes her question if she might be ready for love after all. The story flows easily, with engaging characters and emotional twists. I do wish we got Henry’s POV—it would’ve added more depth—but overall, a sweet, enjoyable read about healing and connection.

Unfortunately, this one just didn’t work for me, and I ended up not finishing it. I really wanted to love it, but I struggled to connect with the characters and the story.
I felt like we barely got to know Emma and Henry beyond the surface. Their personalities, motivations, and chemistry didn’t feel fully developed, which made it hard to invest in their relationship. I kept waiting for a deeper emotional pull, but it never quite came.
The pacing was also tough—some parts felt way too fast (like key emotional moments that needed more buildup), while others dragged without much payoff. I kept thinking Henry was hiding something or that a twist was coming, but it never really landed in a satisfying way.
That said, the themes of healing, starting over, and self-discovery were solid and could definitely resonate with the right reader. If you enjoy small town settings, strangers-to-lovers tropes, and a light, easy-going romance, this might be more your vibe.

Both main characters had set different paths ,in their lives , until a knock on the door . Destiny interrupted.!

ARC REVIEW
Unfortunately this wasn’t my cup of tea. I don’t always mind age gap romances, and I didn’t feel like there was a bad power dynamic here. However the tense kept shifting from present to past and back within even the same paragraph, and it totally took me out of the story. I wish this had been a higher rating but unfortunately not for me. Main positive: did read as an interconnected standalone, I didn’t feel like I was missing much not reading the first book.

We also follow Henry. He is a romance writer but decided to write something different. He finds himself in Honey Grove ghost writing a thriller but he can't find himself to care.
This is such a cute, warm and cozy small town romance. I love the idea of love between a writer and a librarian. Although this librarian doesn't read. Emma is a single mom and we see her try to put her life back in order. She is struggling to not let her past experiences with her mom influence her life. Henry is a mystery, we get to find out small things about his "secret " life back in NY.
This was a quick read and easy to follow. I love the friendships, the found family and the support system. Emma and Henry's relationship changed from friends to lovers. They have a lot to work through alone but together they help support each other. I enjoyed the slow burn suspense to the smut scene.
I loved that Wren, we met in book 1, was back in this story. She is such a special person and she is what you need in a best friend. I can't wait to read the next book.

This was such a sweet romance!
Lovesick is a neighbors to lovers, single mom, small town romance between Emma and Henry.
I really felt for Emma. She’s just trying to do what’s best for her and her son, and she does so much of it without asking for help from anyone. I loved how her son, Milo, played a role in helping her open up to Henry, seeing how much they adored each other and how safe he felt with Henry meant so much to her, and you can tell. I loved that Henry really helped her realize it’s okay to put herself first sometimes and go after the life she wants, you can see how much confidence he helps her find again. And I think everyone needs someone like that in their lives.
Henry is an absolute sweetheart. All he wants to do is show Emma that she and Milo aren’t alone, and that he would do anything for them. His love extends to so many people he counts as family and friends, and I loved that whenever he has something going on, he’s so quick to invite Emma to join him and makes her feel included. He never wants to see her doubt herself or feel bad about herself, he just wants her to see the amazing person he knows she is. The world would be a better place if we had more people like Henry. And so many readers will swoon over this man.

Lovesick by Tyra Lynn is the second book in the Honey Grove series. This was my first book by Tyra Lynn that I have read and it won’t be my last. I have just added Homesick (the first book) to my TBR list. Lovesick follows the love story of Emma and Henry. Emma’s life isn’t going how she thought it was. At 25, she’s recently divorced from her high school sweetheart, struggling as a single mom, working a part time job at the library, and trying to graduate college. Love is the last thing on her mind, until she meets Henry. Henry, who is her nee upstairs neighbor, is in her small town of Honey Grove for the summer trying to ghost write a book that he doesn’t care about. After a chance meeting leads to friendship, can their friendship led to something more, giving them a chance to heal and find love. Where do I start? This book has everything that I love in a romance novel-small town, slow burn romance, second chances, and friends to lovers. I just love how well written, and the character development of Emma and Henry are. Henry is now one of my favorite book boyfriends. The development of Emma and Henry’s relationship was so heartfelt that I didn’t mind that this book wasn’t as spicy as some of the other books that I have read before in the past. Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down, I stayed up past my bedtime to finish it!

Emma and Henry’s story is a great example of finding love when you least expect it. When Henry’s annoying brother knocks on the wrong door, you met Henry just by his voice. Emma and Henry both have some things buried in their closets.
They then met later at the same place and you get to see how easy they can talk to each other and how they bring out their own feelings towards each other without actually saying it at first. The friend zone develops and as they start spending more time together they are both fighting and figuring out where and what they want.
He pays close attention to so many little things about her and her son that is so sweet. While they grow their friendship to a relationship they are both battling their own demons. While they over come them it takes them both a while to figure things out and realize they really love each other.
What’s great about this story, is it a great read and allow you into their life and their feelings. You feel the struggles they each face and they are very close to real life in what someone can be facing themself.
I recommend this book not because it’s full of spice, it full of so much more. The real life story lines brings the characters to life and can allow the readers to relate.

This is book 2 (book 1: Homesick) in the Honey Grove Series, and it can be read as a standalone.
Newly divorced, single mum, Emma is giving life a second shot with her son. On a girls night out, she meets her neighbour, Henry and his cheeky brother, Knox. Emma invites Henry back after accidentally spilling wine on his trousers. Things are going well until he sees the picture of her with her son, and he quickly bolts. Whilst maybe a little spoked by that, Henry becomes quite fond of the librarian and offers to help her improve her grades English, since he is an English Professor. In return, she helps him with his ghostwriting.
Awww this was such a cute read. They were both just blooming adorable. Do I wish Henry could tutor me? Absolutely yes I do. The man is hot. I loved him. Not all men are willing to take a chance on a single mum, but he does. I really enjoyed seeing Emma gain her confidence, especially with her son. There’s no animosity between her and her ex-husband, which I think worked really well as he wanted her to move on.
Emma and Henry just needed each other and it was really lovely to see. And, the way he spoke Spanish made my knees go weak 🤣🤣
I cannot wait for book 3 💕

If you need a sugary sweet love story that’s more steam than spice, you will enjoy this book. I had a hard time knowing how to rate this because while I enjoyed the story and read it quickly, it felt like it was lacking some tension and build up for me during the slow burn. I love the friendship they built up, but I wanted some more character development from Henry—he had his faults but came across like a syrupy sweet MMC and that’s just not my thing. This was very sweet, steamy not spicy, and just lacking a little bit of edge for me.

Thank you to @Sunnybabepr & Tyra Lynn for sending me this ARC. This is my third book by this author and I’m so glad I stuck with her. This is part of her Honey Grove series, however, it can very much be read as a standalone book.

The mysterious Henry moves in upstairs from her apartment and after meeting him she soon finds him very interesting. Emma struggles with her own happiness, while also trying to decide who she wants to me. Henry comes with his own set of issues as well and together they find peace and happiness with each other.
What I liked most about this book is how real the characters felt. Both Emma and Henry felt very real with their struggles. This book has tropes like small town, friends to lovers, slow burn, single mom, and hot professor. I’m also a sucker for a man with rolled up sleeves so Henry is one of my most favorites characters.

Emma struggles with her own happiness, while also trying to decide who she wants to me. Henry comes with his own set of issues as well and together they find peace and happiness with each other.
What I liked most about this book is how real the characters felt. Both Emma and Henry felt very real with their struggles. This book has tropes like small town, friends to lovers, slow burn, single mom, and hot professor. I’m also a sucker for a man with rolled up sleeves so Henry is one of my most favorites characters.

Lovesick by Tyra Lynn was such a sweet and touching read. I genuinely loved how it captured that weird, messy stage of life where you’re a little older but still not entirely sure what you’re doing — it felt super real and relatable. The characters were soft, vulnerable, and written with so much care. I was rooting for Emma and Henry the whole time 🥺.
It’s also just so nice to return to Honey Grove — I’m still absolutely in love with this setting. There’s something about the way Tyra Lynn writes this small town that makes it feel like home. Warm, familiar, and full of heart.
My only tiny critique is the pacing felt a little slow in places, but the emotional depth and the character-driven plot more than made up for it. If you’re into low-stakes, character-focused romance with big feelings and cosy vibes, this one’s worth picking up 💛

Who doesn’t love a hot professor who is an absolute cinnamon roll and calls the FMC pet names in Spanish? Who also embraces her motherhood, supports her desire to further her education, and reminds her she doesn’t have to apologize just for being who she is?
If any of that resonates with you, I highly recommend Lovesick!
Emma is a newly single mother who is finally living her own life instead of the one she thought she had to live based on her small town’s societal standards. She has her own place now, she’s taking classes to finish the education she had originally started, and when a handsome professor moves in upstairs she starts to let herself explore genuine love and affection.
Henry brings out a new side of Emma. She slowly opens up to him after years of being closed off and overprotective of her heart. She realizes hope isn’t a bad thing. And she finally stands up for herself and sets boundaries firmly in place with those that tested those boundaries ever since she was a child.
Emma and Henry’s story is a slow burn but well worth the simmering wait and the obstacles along the way.
I definitely recommend adding Lovesick to your TBR!

I have read all of Tyra’s books now, and have loved each one. She has a way of crafting relatable stories with characters with such dimension and chemistry.

I adored them so much.
Emma I just connected with immediately. as a mom, as woman who's lost herself in motherhood, who's trying to find her happiness again, and also as someone trying to move forward from her childhood trauma.
honestly it didn't take much effort to picture myself as Emma in the book...because I am Emma.
and seeing her story unfold gives me hope.
Henry now also has things he's trying to move forward from and heal.
I just loved his character. a bit guarded, but it didn't take much for Emma to break through his walls. unexpectedly might I add.
this just honestly was one of those stories that are both heartbreaking and heartwarming in one.
you witness both characters struggle, but than grow from those struggles.
I just loved this book.

Just wrapped up Lovesick by Tara Lynn and I seriously can’t stop thinking about it. 🥹💕 This book was everything I wanted in a small-town romance, real, heartfelt, and so beautifully written. Emma, a single mom trying to rebuild her life, was such a relatable and strong character. Her journey felt so honest and grounded, and I loved watching her grow.
Then there’s Henry, the quiet, bookish upstairs neighbor with layers you slowly peel back. Their connection builds so naturally, no insta-love here. Just a beautifully paced, slow-burn romance that makes every little moment between them feel electric. 💌✨

Emma and Henry are in the quaint small town of Honey Grove.
Emma was Wren’s BFF in Homesick, and that carried over into this novel. Emma is a newly divorced mom trying to piece her life back together and figure out who she wants to be.
As with other Tyra Lynn books, our female main character is redesigning her life in her mid/late 20s. As a teenager, Emma thought she had it all figured out with what she wanted but life and expectations changed. I love that Tyra shows that it is normal not to have life all figured out right after college and it is okay to change from those dreams we all thought we wanted.
The story felt a little slow in the beginning, but it does pick up pace as the story progresses. I did feel like the ending was slightly rushed and wished there was more "dating" and encounters between the two.
Overall, this was a wonderful, fun, and quick summer read! Looking forward to Knox's story next!

This book was absolutely ᴇᴠᴇʀʏᴛʜɪɴɢ! This is the 2nd interconnected book in the Honey Grove series, and I was sooooo happy to be back in this world. While it is possible to read Lovesick as a stand-alone, you'll understand much more by reading Homesick first.
I devoured this book, and I mean DEVOURED! I was previously a single mom myself, which allowed me to connect with Emma on so many levels. This story focuses strongly on character growth independently and as a couple, which I absolutely adored. This is a story about love at an unexpected time, learning that you don't need to grow and heal on your before being in a relationship and taking the plunge into the unknown and overcoming your fears and insecurities. If you love small town charm and the tropes above, you need to check out this series.

I loved going back to Honey Grove for Emma + Henry's story!
We were first introduced to Emma in book 1 of the Honey Grove series as Wren's best friend. Her life in this book is very different - Emma is newly divorced and the single mom to a toddler. She's got a part time job at the library, and has rented an appt in a duplex.
Henry is a university professor, writer, and just so happens to be Emma's new neighbour. He's got a stint leading a writing group at the local library. Cue the forced proximity and next door neighbour romance!
Emma's character was so relatable for me. As someone who was brought up by a single parent, and doesn't have a great parent/child relationship, I really connected to all the emotions and challenges this brings. She's in a new phase of her life and on a journey of rediscovery. She's used to appeasing others, and now wants to figure out what she wants, and doesn't want to complicate her life.
Henry had that hot professor vibe going for him. He was kind of out of place with his slacks and button down shirts in the small town, but he wasn't trying to fit in.
This slow burn didn't come easy, but it turned out so sweet in the end <3
Now let me talk about Knox! He's Henry's brother and he kind of stole the show for me in the first few pages. He's a little shit, and established himself as that annoying character that you want to ignore but you just can't seem to stay away from him within the first few pages! I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of him soon ;)

This was such an incredible book and it had an insane amount of character growth. This book is about letting go of the fear that is controlling you and allowing yourself to feel and be present in every moment and emotion. You will feel every emotion through Emma & Henry. Their story is so captivating, my attention was caught from the start! Emma makes an appearance in book one, Homesick, and I honestly wanted more of her story from there. This can be read by itself but I would recommend reading both books as they are both incredible and super sweet small town romances. Homesick & Lovesick are both available on Kindle Unlimited. ☺️

This book explored many different relationships including a first relationship after divorce, relationship between a parent and a child, and lastly, a relationship with the one you co-parent with.
There is so much to like, but what I enjoyed most was how relatable the different situations felt. Such as dating when you barely have time for yourself, parent guilt, the childhood trauma that replays in your mind.
The story flowed well and like how slow Henry and Emma took their relationship even though there was an obvious attraction from the beginning.
If you enjoy a romance that feels relatable mixed with small town this is for you.

Lovesick is a messy and heartfelt small-town, open-door, neighbors-to-lovers contemporary romance with slow burn, witty banter (especially from the MMC), leisurely paced slice-of-life vibes and beautifully portrayed divorced family dynamics. Emma is a strong single mom who is finding herself after divorce. Henry is a broody, Spanish-speaking, cinnamon-roll English professor who ghost writes in his free time. I hope to learn more about his Puerto Rican backstory in future books. These two characters find each other at an unexpected time and together they find a way to heal from broken pasts.
