Amanda Schaefer's Holy Plot Twists: God Is Still Writing Your Story is a message that any age needs to hear. Amanda's writing is honest, descriptive, creative, and beautifully written. After reading the first chapter, I wanted to go immediately to the second, the third, and so on. Because of Amanda's lived experience with trauma, anxiety, and pain–she has a heart for other readers who have walked down a familiar road. At one point, Satan was out to destroy her–but her life proves that "no weapon formed against you shall prosper" (Isaiah 54:17).

This is an insightful and relatable book. Across eighteen stories, Amanda Schaefer offers the reader a peek at her key life experiences, and more importantly, at how she experienced the presence of God in each of those times. She weaves in timely and relevant scriptural truths throughout, and unapologetically recounts her vivid encounters with the supernatural--Friend and foe alike.
Though these are Amanda's stories, with details that differ from your story or mine, each one is highly relatable. I recently finished reading Amanda Schaefer’s Holy Plot Twists: God Is Still Writing Your Story, and I'm on a spiritual high! By the second page, I was literally in tears and had to message Amanda on social media about how her words had already touched me. In her book, she effortlessly weaves lessons from the Bible into her own life story to illustrate how God can and does help each of us…if we let Him. I'm now halfway through the insightful journal prompts she has at the back of the book. They really help you see God's hand in your own life. I highly recommend this book!

This is an excellent book.
It has such powerful testimonies about the dangers of dabbling in occult-like activities, intense spiritual warfare, what life is like without God’s presence, and the amazing power of grace and forgiveness.
At the end, there are several pages of thought-provoking questions to help you in your spiritual growth journey.

Amanda's heart for others' pain and her earnest desire for them to see the thread of God's love and care throughout their lives is beautiful. Her story is filled with much pain, trauma, and sadness yet she also shares the redemption.
