About the author

Yuki Midorikawa (緑川ゆき, Midorikawa Yuki) is a Japanese mangaka (manga artist). Midorikawa is best known for drawing the manga series Natsume Yujin-cho ("Natsume's Book of Friends").

Yuki Midorikawa started writing manga when she was an elementary school girl. When she was a junior high school student, she sent her manga for the first time to "Hana to Yume", a semi-monthly Japanese shōjo manga magazine published by Hakusensha. Since then, she had kept drawing manga to become a mangaka.

Still lovely after all these years/volumes. As ever with manga series, start with volume 1. The artist's style hasn't changed over time, exactly, but her lines feel more sure, somehow. Good Natori values in this outing, pleasing to me because he is my favorite secondary character.

It also has a truly excellent anime adaptation of several seasons, all episodes following their parent stories closely, a big plus for me. To be found on Crunchyroll and likely elsewhere.

you wait and wait and wait for months , to just finish it in an hour or so..
the last story was adorable, I am so glad for Natsume for him to finally have a house with the Shiguru family. they are kind to him and he deserve it

Really liked the stories in this volume and seeing how much Natsume continues to grow and the relationships he nurtures. His empathy towards others just makes my heart swell.

My tiny gripe with this series is the very, very slow pacing of the main plot in figuring out Reiko as a person, so it was really nice to see a continuation from the previous volume on a potential lead.

Can't wait for the next instalment!

First story was a little scary, for Natori especially. For the second story, the last battle with the yokai needed more detail. Could not tell what was going on as the panel transitions were a little confusing. Otherwise, it ended super sweet.

Such a wonderful volume! The second story about the Fujiwaras (and Natsume)'s house was so sweet and tender, a real Natsuyuu story!

It also feels like Midorikawa is setting the story to finally shows us more about Reiko's past so I can't wait for the next volume!
