A Real Thanksgiving Story

Jan Moran has written another Great story. Every Summer Beach read brings you back to friends you have been waiting to hear from again. Jan draws you in with her wonderful storytelling so you feel like you're part of the Summer Beach family. I am always anxious to see what Ivy, Bennett, Poppy, Shelly, Mitch and little Daisy are up to, plus all the other folks we know in Summer Beach. Even grumpy Darla has grown on me since she loves Mitch, Shelly and especially their daughter, little Daisy so much. Big surprises abound in Seabreeze Harvest.
Ivy, Shelly and Poppy go on a night time mission to find out what Ivy hit with her shovel during the ground breaking ceremony for the new library/ museum being built close by the inn. This starts a big mystery into what they might find hidden below the ground, and lots of surprises develop.
Once the pace starts it never slows down. New excitement is coming to Summer Beach, no one will ever expect the changes coming. Jan Moran is a fantastic story teller and I am excited for the next book in the Summer Beach series!

Cozy Mystery, Crossover Magic, and Hidden Treasures at the Seabreeze Inn!
Jan Moran's Seabreeze Harvest is the perfect novel to curl up with this fall. While the Inn is bustling with seasonal charm, the real magic and what makes this book an instant favorite is the cozy mystery that runs beneath the surface.
I was immediately obsessed with Ivy and Shelly’s adventures, particularly their journey of discovery on the historic property. The moments where they uncover hidden artifacts from the past in forgotten corners of the Inn feels like you're solving a historical puzzle right alongside them!
I love how Jan Moran has integrated characters from her other series, creating a wonderful feeling of a family reunion. More than anything, this is a story about connection. I love how the characters truly work together as a supportive community, proving that teamwork makes the dream (and the mystery) work.
If you’re looking for a warm hearted novel with intriguing secrets and a cast of characters who feel like old friends, this is your next read. Just trust me on this one: no spoilers necessary, just pure enjoyment.

When checking out the place for Amelia’s library and art museum Ivy finds a WWII bunker preserved as a time capsule. Another one of Amelia’s gifts, as usual, there’s always something hidden in the most unexpected places. It’s always nice to visit with Ivy, Shelley and all the characters of the Seabreeze Inn, it feels like visiting old friends. The warmth feeling of family and friends reunions shows up in this book during an almost disaster during thanksgiving dinner, but was averted and became an even better one full of friendship and camaraderie. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

“I think almost every day holds a little magic-if we take the time to realize it.”

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to celebrate at the Seabreeze Inn with family and friends.
An unexpected surprise turns the celebration to a different direction.
A heartwarming read in a beautiful small town. So much resilience, friendship, community that is so inspiring.
Family values as a family reconnects and supports each other.
I loved the descriptions of the towns and the fun fall activities that reminded me of doing them with my children when they were young.

I received an ARC prior to publication and decided to voluntarily review it.

“Seabreeze Harvest” is exactly the kind of warm, cozy escape I love. Every time I open a Jan Moran book, it feels like I’m dropping in on friends I’ve known for years. The characters in Summer Beach—Ivy, Bennett, Poppy, Shelly, Mitch, and little Daisy—truly feel like family at this point. I love meeting the new faces who wander into town, too. Some stay, some pass through, but all of them add something special.

This book is packed with everything I adore about the series: family, friendship, community, a dash of romance, and a touch of mystery. The Seabreeze Inn is buzzing with excitement as they prepare for a grand harvest celebration and finally show off the inn’s beautiful renovations. But of course, nothing in Summer Beach ever goes completely according to plan. A surprising discovery during a groundbreaking ceremony sends Ivy and the gang on a little nighttime adventure that turns into a fun mystery with plenty of twists.

The Thanksgiving atmosphere is wonderful—comforting traditions, fall foods, and that deep sense of connection that makes this series so special. I especially enjoy seeing the younger characters grow and contribute.

What I love most about this series is how Jan Moran captures the feeling of community so well. The humor, the challenges, the new beginnings—everything blends into a heartwarming story that’s perfect for fall. I absolutely loved the ending scene of this book.

If you’re a fan of small-town stories or just want a comforting holiday read filled with people you’ll wish lived next door, this is a wonderful pick.

Thank you to the author for the ARC—the thoughts expressed here are completely my own.

It’s autumn in Summer Beach, and holidays are on their way. We get to celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving as we visit with Ivy, Bennett, Shelly, Mitch, Poppy, and the many of the other residents of the town. There are some new additions to the locals and with them come some surprises, even a mystery or two.

Amelia Erickson, original owner of the Seabreeze Inn, isn’t done with bringing the unexpected to Ivy; Ivy isn’t done with seeing to the start of a new library in Summer Beach. Her vision, however, goes further than just books, and it may have met with an unexpected discovery..

This book features a darling toddler, a teen who’s running away from an abusive situation, a highly talented but down on her luck artist, and a Thanksgiving Day predicament that touches all of Summer Beach.

If you enjoy the unexpected, then this is the book for you. There are several surprises, and as always, the residents of the Seabreeze Inn rise to meet them. This was a wonderful addition to this series, and I enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend all of the books in this series. They do not disappoint.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the author. I thank her for her generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and Ivy and Shelly are getting ready. It’s time to visit the pumpkin patch and start thinking about a thanksgiving dinner with friends and family. The inn is quieter so nothing can derail their plans, right?

With a new discovery where the library is planned to be built, Mitch’s coffee shop being vandalized, and a new stranger in Summer Beach, things heat up quickly. Can the family save the grand harvest celebration with everything going on?

Every time a new novel comes out in the Summer Beach series, I get so excited to catch up with Ivy, Shelly and all their family and friends. This is such a wonderful series filled with warmth, second chances and a little bit of mystery as they uncover more secrets from the original inn’s owner Amelia who has passed. As a reader I get swept into the story and feel like I am visiting Summer Beach myself. Jan Moran has a way of drawing you in with her fabulous writing style, and at the end of the book you are left anticipating the next book in the series. My thanks to the author Jan Moran for my advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. She is on of my favourite authors and friends, this is one series you do not want to miss.

This is the 12th installment of the Seabreeze Inn series (although it can be read as a standalone), and it was wonderful to spend part of my Thanksgiving weekend back with Ivy, Shelley, their Bay family including husbands Bennett, Mitch, friends, neighbors, and “family they chose” in Summer Beach on the Southern California coast, as they celebrated their own Harvest feast.

As always, one of the main characters in this series is the Seabreeze Inn, originally named “Las Brisas del Mar” when it was built by Amelia Erickson in the early part of the last century. When this book opens, Ivy Bay, who turned the home into a bed-and-breakfast, has finished upgrading the kitchen and making other renovations. However, the old house still has secrets to reveal, and Ms. Moran deftly weaves history into those mysteries. Besides family and friends introduced in other books in the series, there are new characters, and they, too, become family in Summer Beach.

Engaging and a wonderful escape to the coast, Seabreeze Harvest is a cornucopia of family, friendship, small-town community, romance (including a budding romance), resilience, and new beginnings. Thank you, Ms. Moran, for the opportunity to read the ARC. I’m happy to provide this honest review.

This is book twelve in The Summer Beach series and omg it is definitely a must read. Seabreeze Inn is preparing for the harvest celebrations but as usual there is always a hitch in there plans, so come along for the ride and enjoy meeting and getting to know what is happening because all are welcome to be part of the celebrations and join this wonderful family to see what will happen next in there adventures. Wow I absolutely love this book and series so much because you feel like you are part of the family while experiencing all of there ups and downs and also being involved in everything that they are doing and how they invite everyone old friends, family, neighbours and new people who they meet and pull in while embracing them as if they are part of the extended family and community. Jan Moran is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to pull her readers into her stories and keep their attention throughout as her books are real page turners and so addictive. I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will not be disappointed.

“When one project ends, it’s as if this old house serves up another secret."

In this the 12th(!) book in the series we focus on the Seabreeze family and how close they are even far away. Ivy realizes how much she's missing her daughter Misty and her parents but they are exploring their dreams and that's OK.

The plans for the Art Center and the Library turn up some interesting ideas and yet another surprise or two as a homeless person comes into view as well as a new veterinarian.

You might think after 11 books that this one might just be the last and if it was that would be okay as almost everything is coming together around The Seabreeze Inn but my guess is author Jan Moran will keep us updated and guessing as long as she wants to. Highly Recommended 5/5

It’s always fun to get reacquainted with the families and friends of Seabreeze. Ivy and her family have been busy but decide to have a great harvest feast. After a trip to wine country, the planning begins, but not without some major challenges. And, Amelia Erickson’s secrets continue.

Jan Moran writes about the things that are important to our lives - family, friends, community. With each book, the characters evolve and grow. It’s always fun to see new characters get woven into the stories.

There is always humor, drama, new experiences and a little romance. It’s a fun read and I’m looking forward to the next book.

I received an ARC but these are my opinions.

Seabreeze Harvest is the story of the planned harvest Thanksgiving event which is to occur at the Seabreeze Inn following the completion of its renovation and the reopening for this celebratory event. But, not everything runs smoothly when a mystery becomes evident which must be solved. I recommend this heartwarming story which has surprises, plot twists, and the wonderful feelings of family, friends and community.

We are back at the Seabreeze Inn and catching up with all the wonderful characters, as well as meeting some new ones, too. Seabreeze Harvest is book twelve in the Summer Beach series, and it picks up where book eleven left off. The writing is well done, the characters are like old friends, and the unexpected twists made this a great read. I look forward to reading more books in the series. I recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone who loves heartwarming stories. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Visiting the Seabreeze community in the fall brings back memories of fall family times. Reconnecting with family and friends while enjoying traditional fall foods and activities. We see the growth of the younger family members like Sunny and Daisy. While Ivy and Bennett continue to set an example for their family, friends and community. It is a wonderful affirmation of living your values. A nice read that isn’t preachy yet gives a warm feeling of the best of traditional American values.

I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but Jan Moran has continued her Summer Beach series with another hit! Seabreeze Harvest starts up where her last book left off, and the readers are brought back to the quaint town in Southern California with characters that we all love as well as a new discovery that shines new light on the illustrious past of the Seabreeze Inn. I always love coming back to this series and look forward to at least one more! Thank you.

Visiting Ivy, Shelly, Bennett and Mitch is quite fun! There is usually some difficulty that the citizens overcome together successfully. Such is the case within this book.

There were a couple of surprises and exciting "coincidences" (those usually happen at the Seabreeze Inn)!

All in all this was another fast and fun read. I enjoy Jan's books quite a bit.

First off, this really isn’t a full length book, just over 200 pages and a couple hours to read. But that doesn’t short change the reader at all. In my opinion, nobody writes a holiday better than Jan Moran. This book brings the feelings that you want in a holiday book. Family, community, combined goals, good friends, old and new. Head for Summer Beach and Happy Holidays!

Thanksgiving celebration at the Seabreeze Inn

Seabreeze Harvest is the twelfth book in the Summer Beach series. The books in this series should be read in order as they follow the Bay sisters as they renovate and then run the Seabreeze Inn, and all of the fellow residents of the beach town. There is love, romance, friendship, family and all of the adventures and drama you can handle, in a clean romance that is sweet and heartfelt.

a spiritual catharsis

A tattooed vet who is gifted and gentle. Two kittens saved a dangerous and young stranger is saved and becomes a kind and capable young man the description of the Thanksgiving celebration just couldn’t be more fun. To think that this was closer to real life than something from adarling novel.

It is like visiting old friends when Jan writes a new Summer Beach book. This book has brought in a lot of new characters that haven't been fully brought to view. I am sure they will have their day. This book brought everyone together for the Thanksgiving harvest and of course it doesn't go as planned. Can't wait for the next one.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series up until this book. It was poorly edited. The names of the twin fridges are Gert & Gertie in previous books, but in this book it referred to the fridge as “Bertie.” I would be reading along and then suddenly it would be talking about something else. It was like something had been left out. It was all a bit disappointing.
