"You will be my fiancee in name only" Leslie knew she should have been grateful to the handsome stranger who claimed her as his fiancee in order to convince angry Greek soldiers that she was not a spy. But Peter Christou's heavyhanded manner infuriated her and so did his arrogant insistence that she continue to pose as his betrothed. Their "engagement," he assured her, would be nothing more than a charade played for the benefit of his wealthy family, but Leslie was afraid her part in it was becoming only too real.
A cute, lovely read. At first I thought I wouldn’t like the heroine too much because she was unnecessarily snappy at the hero but I’m glad the author changed her for the better. In fact, the author made her a delightful person! Even the hero says so himself! Each time he was in her presence he sees a different side of her. At first he thought she was like an ice maiden, then a like a youthful spirit and water nymph of the sea and another time like a child and, of course, other times that of a passionate woman. And, I, couldn’t agree more because the author did a great job capturing the various moods and shift of the heroine to a genuine perfection. Thus, the romance was believable til the very end.
