I’d made my choice.
But it wasn’t going to be all rainbows and roses. My fairy tale was yet to come, even if I had found the one.

Because darkness lingers around every corner. Follows us like our very own storm cloud; brewing and brimming with trouble. It’s a never-ending torment, not knowing when they’ll strike and having those I loved ripped away from me all at once.

With a battle on the brink and people counting on me to stay strong, my resilience will be put to the test.

Fate is coming for us. Revenge is wreaking havoc. And new powers with formidable allies could sway the results. But so could the wolf in sheep’s clothing within our ranks—a traitor in our midst.

Will I be able to uphold this newfound inner strength? Or will everything I know come tumbling down around me?

Only time will tell.

The next big moon phase is looming. And they say winter is the time the wolf packs come out to hunt.

Did I mention we’re the prey?

*This is book the third and final book in the series. Supernova and Stargazer should be read prior to this. Perfect for readers who love paranormal romance books like Twilight, Vampire Academy and Mortal Instruments but want a slightly more adult feel and fantasy-like vibe. If you love authors like Jaymin Eve, K.F. Breene, Leia Stone, Everly Frost, Tate James, Ali Hazelwood and Lauren Roberts, then this might just be your next read. The conclusion to The Gray Knights trilogy has twists in fate, tested love, bitter betrayal, bantering allies, family secrets and a high-fantasy like final battle. Recommended for 17+ due to language and sexual situations.

J.A. Jude is an author from Melbourne, Australia. An avid reader from childhood who re-found her love for reading in her adult years, Jude is an artistic soul at heart, obsessed with the escapism that comes from a good book. A pisces dreamer, she spends most of her free time deep in the flow state of creating art—when she’s not binge watching a new TV show with her husband or curled up in bed diving into a new story. When her nose isn’t in a book or covered in paint, she’s out in nature trying to find magic in the real world, from the encasing warmth of golden hour to the shimmer of stars in the night sky.

Sick of working jobs that brought little joy and wondering ‘what if’, Jude began putting her love for writing and creating into writing her own book. A sucker for love, her stories are centred around romance with elements of the supernatural or fantasy worlds that shaped much of her life.

**I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book, but my opinion of this book is completely my own, I haven’t been paid anything to say anything.

This series has been an absolute pleasure to read, action packed, great pacing and a beautiful relationship between our 2 main characters, Griffin and Venus. I feel as though Griffin especially had such a great character growth, but a character that I ended up LOVING was River! Kind of unexpected for me as I’m totally team griffin, but I just really loved his character and wanted him to finally get some happiness - the man deserves it!!!!

This book in particular had me hooked, and feeling every emotion from joy, to anger, to sadness, to an absolute book hangover. I couldn’t recommend this series enough, it’s so amazing to see such a great series come from an indie Australian author, and I can’t wait to see what else she comes out with in the future.

Solstice was THE epic conclusion I was waiting for, the kind of finale that doesn't just tie up Supernova and Stargazer but explodes into something even bigger!!!

What I loved most was how the scope of the story expanded: we weren't just dealing with the issues set up in the first two books, but we shifted the focus in such an unexpected, brilliant way. The spotlight wasn't only on Venus anymore, it turned towards Griffin and River, making their arcs feel just as essential, just as deeply rooted in the heart of the conflict. That pivot gave this book so much power.

Every single character mattered. Each one had their own goals, motives, and reasons to fight. On the villain's side, it was chilling to see how most were simply soldiers, pawns in a cause that wasn't even their own. Meanwhile, our protagonists fought like a family, united but still individual: some driven by revenge, others by justice, others by love. It made their side feel layered and real.

And can we talk about that structure?! The trilogy beginning and ending with the same character, someone not central to the plot, but central to the motivation, was such a beautiful, emotional. choice. It gave the whole trilogy a sense of coming full circle. On top of that, the POVs were distinct and sharper than ever. We had more perspectives than in the earlier books, but each voice felt necessary and unique.

The final battle was pure chaos in the best way: long, messy, heart-wrenching, and absolutely epic. So many storylines collided and resolved, yet it never felt rushed. And I adored how the villain wasn't tied to Venus's heritage, but rather to Griffin's and River's. It gave them stakes that were just as high, proving this wasn't only Venus's story after all.

The magic system also kept me hooked, shadow manipulation, sight, strength, speed, shielding, heightened senses, it was diverse, creative, and brutal. Some of the villains were downright horrifying in their violence, which made the stakes feel real. The tone shifted from the comfort of book one to the sheer havoc here which was brilliant.

Of course, the relationships deserve a shoutout. Griffin and Venus' tension was gorgeous, especially with that "are you lost?" moment coming full circle (so sweet!). But honestly my favorite couple was Celeste and Zander. Their banter, Zander's desperation, their chemistry, it was so innocent and wholesome. And Xander's speech at the end Imao "Distinguished ladies and gentlemen," | was cracking up.

Even the names stood out as part of the magic. Venus, Celeste, Raven, Griffin, Grey, Blackwell, Kitana, Carter, Nox, Deuce, Xander, Skylar, the Maddox Brothers, Sage, Ivy, Blaze, Bear, Winter, Sienna, Xari, Hazelwood, Rhyatt, each one unique, badass, and so perfectly matched to the character.

This was, without a doubt, my favorite book in the trilogy. It wrapped up the Knights' and Wolves story in a way that was satisfying, emotional, and epic, but it also left just enough open threads that make me think we haven't seen the last of the Grey Knights Academy or the Saint Clair's Wolfpack. Solstice as Kitana said, this book, Solstice was a celebration and balance. A reminder that life imitates nature in its ebbs and flows. I can't wait to revisit this universe again and hope Jude continues to give us more stories in this world.

Janice.

This series was absolutely everything. I found Supernova during a rough time of my life, going through some stuff and it helped me escape reality and live in a different world for a short while.

“You are your own hero, Supernova. But every so often, I’ll step in”

In Solstice we continued following our FMC Venus in her journey of being a Gray Knight. We learnt more about the rogue’s and how they came to be while also discovering who runs it all- holy plot twist?!

The extended world building we got in Solstice was perfect, we learnt more about each of the compounds and who ran them. We learnt about all the neighbouring packs and got a deep dive into the Alphas.

“Fucking hell, I’m saving everyone tonight. Might as call me Batman”

Griff baby. Wow. You will forever be in my top 3 book boyfriends. His sarcasm is unmet. His bravery and loyalty? Swoon. His love for Vee?! We love a man who is all about his woman and lets her be the bad bitch that she is.

Riv, I’m so sorry for lowkey hating on you for trying to get our girl back. It’s just Vee and Griff are made for each other. You got your happily ever after and I’m so damn happy. I didn’t want to see you alone. You deserve the world. You have the world now.

“She was fucking ethereal. My angel of death. My star. My world. My cosmos.”

I will never get over this series. It will forever be in my heart. The fact that this isn’t a booktok viral series I will never understand. There are so many books that don’t deserve the hype that they get and then there’s small authors like J.A. Jude with the best books in the entire world and not enough people see them. Can we start hyping the right books?

“I felt like the princess but also the warrior. My knight by my side. And our kingdom was the people we loved, gathered around us. Now this was the fairytale I’d always imagined.”

Also, all the Cinderella things in there? Yep, just cemented this series in my heart.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to ARC read this book. It was the ending we all deserved and absolutely love.

Firstly, a big thank you to J.A. Jude for sending me an ARC to read and review!

Picking up where we left off in Stargazer, we jump right back into the action with plot twists galore! We discover more about the Rogues and what they have brewing as well as the other neighbouring packs.
I feel like the world building and depth grew dramatically compared to Supernova & Stargazer, and I loved exploring the world more.

Venus:
In Supernova, we meet Venus as a very lost girl experiencing heartbreak after discovering a new reality to her world. In Stargazer, Venus is starting to find her path and choose her destiny, yet it comes full circle in Solstice. Venus is now confident in who she is and what she wants. This character growth over the series was brilliant to watch.
In Solstice, Venus is such a confident and badass character, yet still shows so much empathy towards others. I also really like how the trauma that Venus goes through isn’t just forgotten about. J.A. Jude writes this trauma into Venus’s character going forward and how she responds to it really well and realistically.

Griff:
You are my favourite.
I absolutely love Griff, his sarcasm and jokes, his leadership qualities, his loyalty to Vee… ugh! Griff can do no wrong. I feel like throughout Solstice, he played such a pivotal role in the brewing war, but also being such a strong support for Venus. He lets her shine, whilst guiding and teaching her, and always has her back.

River:
Riv, I’m sorry but you give off Golden Retriever vibes and I love you for that! But my oh my, J.A. Jude made you do the hard yards in Solstice!
I felt so so sorry for Riv throughout Solstice with some of the issues he faced, but he came out strong and proved himself to be such a hero!

Overall, Solstice is was an amazing finale to The Gray Knights, the characters and the world will be missed but I’m also so prepared to find out what J.A. Jude has in store for us next!

* I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this book *

To say this book has left me wanting (no needing!) more would be a massive understatement & an absolute testament to J.A. Jude & her skilful writing.
This book (and series as a whole) was so well executed, with the plot twists, the ever growing connection between characters with multi POV which I absolutely adored, and not to mention the banter throughout the series especially in Solstice *cough* Griffin *cough*. I was pleasantly surprised at the world building in this series and being able to follow the characters in my mind like a movie gave me a deeper connection to them. Not to mention how perfect the ending was.
Side note: I’m going to need more on Celeste & Zander because 😮‍💨😮‍💨

I will be heartbroken if I don't get one. I want to see this book IN ACTION. this series. I want it all. the TV shows the movies the book deals. all of it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Supernova, stargazer, soltice
This whole series was INCREDIBLE. I genuinely have not loved every single book in a series like I have this in so long. I didn’t want it to end.
I can’t recommend this series enough and I am so happy that I met that author in the book store and no if hr her books because I would never have gotten to read one of my favourite series. I wish this was bigger and could be made into movies.

“Subterfuge at it’s finest”

Solstice picks up right where Stargazer left off. Plunging us readers back into the work of Knights, Wolf Shifters and Rogues. Every chapter pushes the plot further. The perfect book that concluded this story epically.
With the hints of “Have they betrayed me?”, I could not get enough of the inner monologues. We all know that I absolutely ADORE Jude’s writing. She is poetic in a way that is genuinely hard to come by.
Having all the multiple POVs really highlighted this for me and I felt I had each character speaking into my mind. I have always been team Griffin. HOWEVER, this book solidified my love for River, his chapters were so eloquently written. My favourite part of this story definitely was River and his journey specifically.

Where Griffin is all rough edge and sandpaper - a fighter, River is a musical note floating on a page of sheet music. Flowing, like a river.

The character development from Supernova to Solstice is just so incredible. The yearning all throughout this book had me screaming internally. Who am I kidding, it had me screaming out loud.

As a girly that just went to New York, I loved knowing all the food spots the gang went to. In particular, Magnolia’s Bakery. The imagery was captured so vividly, it brought every scene to life in my mind.

The art in this book is just stunning, from the chapter heads to the pages. Jude has given us everything we desire. The detail that goes into ensuring the portrayal of each character is perfect is remarkable, extraordinary.

Solstice was the perfect epic conclusion to this beautiful story.
