Tall Red Dude With Tattoos 3: The Finale

Rate this book
My world shattered in an instant. The last nine years of my life—nothing but a lie. When Eno abandoned me and then returned expecting forgiveness, he sparked a war with a man who doesn't know how to lose. Now I'm caught between my past and a present dominated by a man whose love burns like wildfire—consuming everything in its path.

Eno's return unleashed the monster beneath Joker's skin. His rage explodes without warning, his wealth and power making him untouchable as he marks his territory. Each diamond he drapes on me is both a gift and a chain. His obsession knows no boundaries. Joker's eyes follow my every move, his possessiveness suffocating yet addictive. When he whispers "till death" against my skin, the chill in his voice makes it clear—his love is a beautiful madness that will either complete me or destroy us both.

In this explosive finale to the "Tall Red Dude With Tattoos" saga, love and loyalty collide in the shadows of power and possession. As Joker's empire becomes both my sanctuary and prison, one question Can love survive when it's held by hands that refuse to let go? This unforgettable African American romance delivers a mind-bending conclusion where passion and danger dance on the edge of sanity.

If you're a fan of "A Virgin Wife & A Billionaire" and "Pregnant By A Down South Millionaire" you'll love this UNPUTDOWNABLE series.

ATP I deserve a refund. Idk how that works but I read all 4 books and I’d like all my time back.
And still, I love Joker, but I got daddy issues. Blame my mama, not me.
Halo still an opp in my eyes. She was one with Jah and she’s a bigger one with Eno.
Dough still moves funny to me. I don’t see how Joker trusts him.
Still not sure why nobody in urban romances believes in condoms.

Now, tea… this series has no reason to be 3 books long. There’s so much fluff and unnecessary characters between the 3 books it could’ve easily been one 250-300 page book.
There’s whole last book is a clusterfuck. It’s so much new stuff introduced then the epilogue. The epilogue should’ve been the story instead of throwing all this information at us in 3 pages.
I’m not gone tell you how to write a book but this is the changes I would have made-
💚Bronx’s character is unnecessary unless he was doing a hit on at least one of the characters we knew. I don’t even see how he created such a conflict. Halo should’ve noticed his tattoos were different. He literally added nothing to the story except shooting Joker that didn’t even land him in the ICU & life went on. I would have Joker realize Dough is moving funny, unalive him then bring Bronx in as his new right hand and they run the city.on some “my brothers keeper” type stuff.

💚Keeping Halo as the opp she is I’d let her fall back in love with Eno. But joker come to terms with it with no crashout. On some don’t ever come back to my city type 💩. And she’d have to endure joker and Bronx letting Eno have it every time he tried to take over so she’d slowly but surely see she picked the wrong man but she stuck with him.& have her stalking joker trying to convince him she was sorry while he moved on with someone else. & they don’t unalive Eno because they got love for Brave but they don’t let up off him and ruin his business every chance they get. They keep Eno straight as long as he stops acting like a baby opp

💚Eno character was pointless unless he was going to actually disrupt something. & he didn’t.and like Halo never saw any of his family? Did they know he was alive? It’s never brought up. I would have him come back 9 years later after dude was dead and started trying to run the city creating a bigger conflict between him and joker (& Bronx per my twist). Now, that would have been Interesting. He should’ve gotten Halo to come back to him maybe have Brave conflicted between him and Joker.

💚Halo daddy… pointless. Unless they were going to talk about him being married and her mom running off with her. Like it wasnt even touched on. I wouldn’t have introduced him into the story. Unlesssss after Vanessa reached out to him Halo had questions abt where he’d been etc and she had to build trust and a relationship with him. But honestly his character isn’t needed the way he’s just dropped into the story,

💚Brave lowkey an opp for inviting the opp.um.. his character should’ve been older. He didn’t have significant parts outside of football and beings baby opp. He should’ve been older so he could have fully understood what happens when you move like an opp not unaliving him but just the general street knowledge. Being 8-9 he got to do opp💩 and the accepted it. Acting real Green when your daddy and step daddy are in the streets is wild.

💚Monica… joker should’ve got rid of her in book one. Maybe catch some heat abt it from police.. call in another favor from his daddy. but ain’t no way she made it through faked pregnancies, stalking, fighting, sleeping with the homie, proposing to him and having a baby. I may have kept her alive to book 2 but she had way too many chances. The stuff with Dough should’ve been the last straw. Joker should have had a man to man conversation with him after he told him they slept together and Joker should’ve have a realization that Dough wasn’t as solid as he thought. He should’ve unalived them together and let them know it’s because they both moved funny… birds of a feather.
💚Never needed to know Scottie unless we were going to talk about his shooting Big Opp. Like between him talking to Monica and joker finding him… we didn’t need any of those pages. I would have introduced Scottie after ole girl contacted him and he was on go because he speculated what Joker did to his sister so he was eager and willing to shoot Big Opp.
💚Didn’t need to know Big Opp was in the closet…Fatima still messed with him and married him. Like we gained nothing by that scene. I would have omitted all of that.

💚I legit needed Knox & Bronx to take over the city together. I’d keep joker unhinged & keep Bronx calculated until you push him over the edge & keep him as a sharp shooter. I needed an opp to corner 1 thinking it was the other one then realize there’s 2 of them. Hell or have them on 2 different coasts and not know about each other until they run into the other ones opp 1 too many times & they start asking their parents questions

💚detective Elsa.. pointless. I wouldn’t have her actually get Monica to be an informant and she still tells joker and Dough. Maybe dough begs joker to let him handle it and Joker declines. Then the governor be brought in for his son… the upstanding individual that pours back into his community and runs the football team being harassed by an overzealous detective searching his warehouse with no search warrant. Then she gets fired or put on administrative leave and that starts her villain era of taking Bronx and Knox down..

Ain’t no way Fatima let him get her pregnant and marry him street he dogged her with his first child.
Oh we didn’t need the kidney thing either.& what happened to all the stuff from book one… corner boys and trap houses?
Oh and Knox and Bronx do a little of the governors dirty work in the meantime
All in all
Halo a opp.

I don’t get it….

What was the point of this book? What was the point of bringing the baby daddy back from the dead after he was gone for a year? And why is Monica such a clown she went from trying to trap a man to proposing to one. I just feel like this entire book was a waste and pointless. And the plot was lost a long time ago.

No, just no. This was not a good ending and quite frankly it shouldn’t have even gotten this far. I expected more and was let down. A lot of unnecessary drama, plots, and descriptions. I wanted to DNF but wanted to wait to the end.

All Over the Place

Unfortunately, I did not like this book as much as I liked the other one’s in this series. A lot of stuff just didn’t make sense. Bronx officiated Halo and Joker’s wedding but Joker murdered his mom… How and why would Bronx be ok with his father moving on with Fatima, knowing that she’s the woman who ultimately broke up his parents’ marriage? That doesn’t make sense. Speaking of Fatima, she was a bird and I hated reading her chapters. Hell, I liked Monica more than I liked Fatima. Halo also got on my nerves. Casper came back after faking his death and she literally RAN to him every time he called. It was annoying how gullible and naive she was.

Again, this book was kinda all over the place. 3 ⭐️

The book was mid.

Overall this easily could have been 1 book. No need to have drag it.

First this man was the mayor now he the governor.

Why make the man gay if they was going to end up together anyways???? Fatima love yourself.

Half the things that happened didn’t even need to happen.

Krissy was the best friend a person can ask for.
Halo was not. Barely.

Monica = trash.

Why bring this man back from the grave & nothing happens???

Him being a twin added nothing to the plot.

I needed a lil more from Braves character. He was around 10 so he was definitely at the age where he can understand certain things.

A Little Flat But We Got There

The conclusion to a wild journey. There were some ups, and there were some downs, the deets:

👌🏾it serves as an epilogue to the action. I love babies and marriages, so that was good to experience. I was happy to see pregnancy on page and the care Joker put in. Joker, as always, stole the show. The humor was always good

✋🏾 this series perfectly exemplifies why serial format doesn't benefit all stories. This would have been a 5 star read for me if it was a singular book vs broken up. The pacing with all of the storylines would have benefited, extraneous fluff would have been cut or trimmed down, and the power of the romance would have felt more solid as the the constant breaks slowed down the momentum of the romance plot. Plus, some romantic pairs had conclusions that didn't fit character thought process and behaviors based on what we were given in Book 1 and Book 2. Maybe if those characters had their own separate books to explore some of the added and additional stressor and conflicts in flushed out details, then their endings would be more fitting. Instead, going solely off what we were given in these 3 books, I was left scratching my head with some character conclusions.

😩Some romantic pairings felt like plot devices that I didn't know why they were authentically together. The pairings were good for added drama but some of those outcomes with the amount of time we were gicen just wasnt it. Dough's endgame sisnt feel right. Kenneth's ending also felt wrong. Joker wasn't allowed to grow past his point in Book 1. I love his character down but he ended up rehasing a lot from previous books. A trimmed up storyline would have helped a lot. The spaced out releases hurt his story-pacing the most. A lot of steam was let out, and I wanted more but not more of the exact same. I love his take charge nature displayed in books one and two, but the Baby Daddy drama felt like a Jah redux. Rehash of the same lines for Joker and the same behavior from Halo slowed up the momentum of their overall romance arc. I didn't get the romance build I felt I was promised in book 1 because they were constantly fighting over Jokers' shenanigans with the other messy men Halo wasn't addressing right.

😌 ultimately, I read in one sitting. I felt I watched a King get his Queen and I will continue to drop these books for recommendations but what started as a refreshing frizzy cherry coke with pop became a little stale, flat drink where it's clear the top wasn't left on too tight.

Harley & Joker Energy Unlocked 🖤

Whew, reaching the end of this rollercoaster was bittersweet fr. Joker really came a long way — still unhinged, just more calculated with it now 😭🔥. Bronx and Dough still got my attention though; both of them got layers I need unpacked. Dough is the real definition of solid — loyal, lowkey, and the kind of right-hand man you don’t find twice.

Halo had me side-eyeing her for a sec ’cause Eno was sabotaging that love with Joker, and I ain’t like that one bit. But Joker stood on business every time and still showed love, even with his emotions all over the place. Halo was indeed Joker’s Harley — she matches his crazy, and it turns him on in the worst way 😩🔥. Listen, my favorite part was when she stabbed him, then took him to the hospital like, “yeah, he’s even more in love now.” That’s that toxic love we like 🤣💀.

Now Fatima? Whew, she a better woman than me! I couldn’t have taken the route she did, but that unconditional love hit different when it’s real. And Krissy? Yeah, I’m rooting for her to finally get her peace and happy ending.

This series had everything — real friendships, messy love, drama, secrets, betrayal, grief, loyalty, and a lil’ bit of that unhinged energy we secretly love 😅. Definitely a ride I didn’t wanna get off 🎢💯.

Whew. Taniece really put her whole foot in this finale! I knew it was going to be a ride, but I was not ready for all the emotions this book dragged me through.

Joker and Halo? Yeah, they earned that ending. After everything they went through, the love, the pain, the absolute chaos—seeing how far they came made it all worth it. Joker had to grow up and face some hard truths, and Halo? She was done playing small. The way she stood in her power this time around had me clapping and talking to my Kindle like she could hear me. 👏🏾

Taniece gave us closure, but she did not let us off easy. The drama was DRAMA-ing, the characters showed real growth, and there were moments I had to pause and just breathe. I laughed, I side-eyed, and yes—I almost cried. And that epilogue? Yeah. She did that.

This finale felt like a love letter to all of us who stuck with Joker and Halo through their mess, and I’m honestly sad to let them go—but grateful they got the ending they deserved.

If you haven’t started this series, go ahead and do yourself a favor. And if you’ve made it this far? You’re in for a satisfying, emotional goodbye.

cute and so much potential

I hate negative reviews so this ain’t that. I actually loved joker 🥰. I actually wound up becoming invested in all of the characters. this is just a few pointers I guess for lack of a better word

-Maybe more on the other couples development/growth
- too much was missing from Eno like where was he ? What life was he living for 9 years ? We know why he left but again where did he go ? And how did he find out about Nathan but didn’t know halo and brave was struggling ?
- Not a fan of Fatima and asshole ending up together. I feel like one part said he was the mayor than another part said governor
- First book overly detailed on the smallest event but I pushed through because I loved the idea of the story line and fell in love with brave and joker

The Insane Family and Friends

The insanity in this book was soooo refreshing!!!…I loved every minute of the drama that unfolded to get these ppl to the love they were destined for with each other!!!…
I was soooo happy that Eno finally found some common sense and left Joker and Halo alone!!!…The fact that he abandoned them and thought she would be accepting of taking him back had me floored!!!…
I was shocked that Dough actually went through with the relationship with Monica, and to actually marry her!!!…
Fatima is one strong woman to give Kenneth a hall pass before their wedding, baby, that’s a lot of trust and confidence in a man!!!..
I love me some Kris and was so happy for her and Bronx!!!…

Decent ending.

I loved books 1 & 2 so I had high hopes for this one. It just didn’t do it for me. The ending seemed rushed for real. Joker & Bronx never really made amends so I feel like the secret coming out was pointless. Eno pissed me off from beginning to end, he should’ve stayed gone. Halo too because she kept allowing him to overstep and helping him. Fatima … chileeee she never learned and don’t get me started on Kenneth. Although Joker was crazy, I feel like him & Ma were the most sane characters in this book. Monica and Dough… what was the reason with them. A POV from him would’ve been nice since he was mentioned so much.

This book wasn’t bad, I just didn’t love it.

Excellent finale!

Great finale. I especially enjoyed how all of the storylines was wrapped by the epilogue and there were no loose ends. I was hoping for more with Knox and Bronx, but I guess that was too much to hope for. Still not understanding how Fatima was stuck on Kenneth after everything he put her through and with his big @ss shocking secret. Couldn’t be me! That’s all I’m gone say! I was right, Joker and Halo are a perfect match. Her crazy turns him on and his crazy is proof for her that he loves her. Not feeling Brave sperm donor AT ALL! He need to get back gone! My favs was Kriss for her loyalty to Halo. Monica should have been six feet under, along with Eno, Bronx’s mom, and maybe Kenneth too! They should have all got a one way trip to the warehouse!

Amazing

Great finale. Joker didn't play about his family, even though Brave dad popped back up from the dead he still remained solid towards Joker to him that was his father. Sad that Halo mom didn't last for the birth of the twins but at least she was able to enjoy Brave while she was battling her illness. Enno really lost his mind if he thought he was going to be able to pick right back up after causing so much stress by faking his death; Joker wasn't having that. Truly enjoyed these characters and their growth maybe we will hear from them in the future especially with Brave being a beast on the football field.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enjoyed this series and how it ended. I could definitely see a few spin-offs. Fatima & Kenneth, we listen and we don’t judge 🥴
Monica & Dough, I didn’t feel the connection. He was such a mystery 😏 Kris & Bronx, I loved her and Halo’s relationship. Bronx needs to retire☠️ Halo & Joker…. I was worried when Eno popped back up but Halo wasn’t coming up off of Knox🤭 And he was crazy in love too. The dog leash and the whooping he gave Eno had me laughing out loud 🤣 Good job‼️

Great way to end!!

I'm glad everything worked out and Eno finally got the hint to move on with his life and leave Halo alone. Joker was standing on BIG BUSINESS behind his family and although Halo worked my nerves a few times I'm glad she knew what she had with Joker couldn't be matched! Krissy and Bronx were great together and I'm glad they were able to work out. Now, Monica was something I wasn't expecting with that proposal but I guess it works for them lol. Overall great books!!

Best Work !!! 5 Stars

So much happened in the first few chapters. I think Halo had a death wish through most of this book. I was calling her a bier brain for a minute. She was very much missing me off. That Taeget screen had me crying. I could literally see that playing in my head. Now I'm surprised at Monica. I didn't see her story playing out that way. Joker was at a new level of delulu and unhinged. I loved every interaction he had with Eno. 5 star read.

This series was so good!!! Joker was insaneee but I love him down! He really stood on business when it came to Halo & Brave! He saw what he wanted & didn’t stop until he got it!

Fatima & Kenneth… I literally have no words! I did NOT expect that to play out how it did!

Monica was & still is outta her mind!!!! she literally stopped at nothing to get her a family & a husband 🥴😭

Overall this was a really good read!!! Definitely getting into more from this author!

I love Joker

I love me some Joker!!!! Idc idc idc lol. Halo annoyed me so much one sec she was getting cute and unsure how she felt about Eno being back and then all of a sudden she was saying he was doing to much, maam you were the one leading him on till you weren’t and he complete disregard for how Joker would feel yea nope I didn’t like her. SMH. My love for Joker got the 4th star but this book is really a 3 star. I could’ve done without it.

Halo was dealt an unfortunate hand and left to do every thing alone being a single mom, waitress, losing her son’s dad to gun violence then having a janky waitress job. She couldn’t catch a break until Joker came into her life everything made sense. She just needed a real man to help her. His love was genuine but overbearing in so many ways because it was his first time ever being in love. With that being said here comes all the snakes Monica his ex wasn’t happy and wanted to make things bad for Halo.Jah the neighbor dealer loved Halo and was jealous that she didn’t want him. That ending there me for a loop though I can’t wait to read book 2 now.

Finale!!

Monica and Dough married?? Idk what that was about it’s interesting I’m curious to see more about themI would’ve never thought. Everyone got the happy ending they deserved and I’m happy for that. Even Eno got it together eventually cause I just knew Joker was gonna have to kill that man to get rid of him..smh Fatima and Kenneth that one was a surprise but I’m glad he’s doing the right thing and being a better father to his daughter then he was to Joker

finally!

This story did not have to be three parts. We could have did without Eno. Part II was understandable for shocker value — although it wasn’t necessarily needed. I don’t like DNF books so I thugged it out but this was drawn out for no reason. I’m happy everyone got their happy ending, I guess. Some things just didn’t make sense — like ol girl who came back and told Scottie?? Like ????? Why? Idk. But anywho. Yeah.

The best book

Outside of the delgados and infernos, this was 1 of the best books I've read in a long time. I love me some joker And halo match his crazy Like he said. They were perfect for each other I was hoping that Bronx and joker would have gotten closer. I can't . I can't believe Fatima married Kenneth and allowed him to be with a man 1 last time. That took me That took me out. I need more books like this

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I read some reviews and I have to disagree with them. This was a very good series and part 3 was even better than the part 1. Now that dang on Joker was a hot mess and he cracked me up because was so serious. Like who puts a leash on they girl in target🤦🏾‍♀️😂. I'm glad Monica got her life together. Fatima, I hope that marriage works.. and I'm glad Bronx and his brother got it together as well.

good plot

It’s like the author forgot what she wrote in the previous books when writing a new one and I don’t get how bc some of it was important. For example, 1st book she tells her son she’s pregnant and he’s excited. 2nd book she doesn’t tell him bc she doesn’t want to get him excited and lose the baby. Then she acts like her dad and mom were heavily dating when her mom died, but he was never really around and had abandoned the mom before her death.

Good 😊

I enjoyed this three book series. Joker was a little unhinged but Halo loved his crazy butt. Maybe if there wasn't so many filler paragraphs there could have been at least a chapter each maybe two to get to know a little more about Bronx and Dough. Those are really about the only disappointments with the series. I'm glad all the characters got their HEA. I definitely recommend reading these books.

A man with a plan

Joker is definitely bae! That man was selfless, caring and putting everyone’s needs before his own. When he said he was going to do something he did it! He played no games behind Halo what so ever. He was romantic and ruthless at the same time. I enjoyed reading this series and recommend it
