The Example of Nehemiah

Rate this book
As a followers of Jesus Christ, I believe the Holy Bible is filled with many examples of how to live our lives. But there is one book in the Bible that is an excellent example of how we should conduct ourselves when we are working in our church homes, our homes, running nonprofits that help people, or simply working on our jobs to make a living. That book is the Book of Nehemiah.
Nehemiah started as a cupbearer for King Artaxerxes. Because he was faithful in that small task, the king gave him the authority and power to journey to Jerusalem and rebuild the walls to protect its people from attack. The enemies of Jerusalem became angry and sought to kill Nehemiah, but even then, he did not use his newfound power to exact revenge. Instead, Nehemiah prayed to God and left it in His hands.
You will get a glimpse into the behavior of a man who prayed and sought God's guidance instead of acting impulsively.
