A Powerful, Heartfelt, and Inspiring Read!

Nina’s authentic care for people shines through on every page. This isn’t just a leadership book, it’s a deeply human one. She writes with honesty, humility, and courage, sharing personal and professional moments that so many of us can relate to but rarely see spoken out loud.

One of the most impactful parts for me was her discussion on grief - not just in the personal sense, but the kind that comes from professional loss. It’s a perspective we don’t talk about enough, and Nina handles it with so much grace and clarity. Her pespective on this topic helped me overcome a similar struggle.

Her reflections on growth, resilience, and the importance of always learning really resonated with me. In fact, a conversation with Nina about lifelong learning was the very thing that inspired me to go back and get my MBA.

This book is full of wisdom, heart, and practical insights... and it stays with you long after you’ve finished the last page. I couldn’t recommend it more.

New author to the local area. Reviewed this book for a Bible study group.

Her idea of conflict resolution is basically: smile, say a prayer, and gaslight the problem into thinking it’s been resolved. It’s not leadership—it’s spiritualized HR jargon with a soft filter and a Bible verse tacked on for plausible holiness. If you took out the word grace, the book would be five pages and still mostly footnotes.

She somehow stretches a single Bible verse into 30 pages of corporate fluff, complete with reflection questions like “How can I better leader”.

Grace in Leadership—because nothing says “servant-hearted leadership” like using the word grace 97 times to mask passive-aggressive micromanagement.

If Jesus flipped tables in the temple, he’d definitely throw this one across the room.

I found some interesting inspiration from the author. She could have easily classified herself as a victim in her young life. The generational trauma that results from not having a mother who is engaged in a child’s life can be difficult. The author appears to have transitioned the Absent Mother Phenomenon on to her own young children. Instead of engaging in their lives, she has chosen to write books and climb ladders that lead to nowhere instead of engaging in their lives the way she once needed in her own. One would want to imagine that the author had learned her lesson and chosen her children and family first rather than the corporate ladder, unfortunately this book would suggest otherwise.

Had the opportunity to read a copy of the book. This book provides no business inspiration or spiritual inspiration. It’s the typical watered down, recycled, semi-spiritual platitude you can find at any self help section of the dollar tree. The author offers no insight into business or leadership and seems to be more of an ego inflating platform. This book was wordy and unoriginal. There are many well written spiritual or leadership and this book served to be neither.
The author comes across as self serving and clueless to the task at hand in this redundant publishing. Insert random Bible vs and generic business concept and you have this book. It was boring, wordy and self serving.

The author provides an insightful guide showing how God's purpose for us can lead to unexpected destinations, and I appreciated the way she sprinkled Bible verses throughout the book. I applaud her bravery for relating her own personal experiences, both good and bad, and how she embraced change and forged long-lasting connections along her journey.
As a former teacher, I want to point out that her thoughts on leadership can apply to anyone who serves others, not just those in corporate leadership positions, but anyone who empowers others to realize their potential.
Well done, Nina Eiland.

Leaders are human

This book was riveting to me. To see someone in a leadership role profess not only her faith, but her humanity was very inspiring. In society we tend to place those above us whether it is celebrities, leaders, management as perfection and peope that can't or shouldn't make mistakes. At the end of the day, we are all human. We all have trials, tribulations, and make mistakes. This author showed just that.
