She is craving not just any man but Miriam's man. When deciding to visit the flat next door, she accidently opens a can of worms. Worms so hard to return. Things go from bad to worse, and the body count rises.
Envy contains scenes of violence unsuitable for some. Consider this a trigger warning for everything.
Envy. Gluttony. Greed. Lust. Pride. Sloth. Wrath.
The seven deadly sins, played out full of gore and sex and each featuring kick-ass female leads.
I really really enjoyed this. It dives into obsession, jealousy and possession. The lengths people will go to to try to obtain something that they want, regardless of the consequences, which in this case, end in gruesome ways. When things go too far, how much farther are you willing to go in order to make something, or someone yours? And, if you can't, how far would you go to make sure that no one else can? This has everything that I love from reading Ash! Bloody good detailed violence, a story that drags you in, and keeps holding, and, as always, humorous references that always make me smile. (I read, "It will kill", as, "It will keel", before realizing that was the reference, in the first place 😂) This is my second read of the series, and I recommend this one as much as I recommend "Wrath"! 5⭐
Jealousy gets you nowhere and neither does wanting a man. Someone else’s man. Kill for a man. A woman hyped up about wanting sex, she finds any excuse to find out how she could worm herself in, little did she know how far this would go! Brilliant quick read. Worth every page. I love fast paced books, especially when it gets straight to the point, no pun intended 😉 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
what do you do when you want what you can't have because it belongs to someone else?
after going about her daily business she comes across something she desires... the local drug dealer tony, only problem is miriam has laid claim to him, things soon take quite a turn and what results will stick with you for a time

You can’t have whoever you want when you want even if you crave it so be it burns up your insides. A woman watches and listens to her neighbors. All they do all the time is have sex.
She is tired of listening to them, but she wishes she was in her neighbor Miriam’s place getting railed by her boyfriend Anthony. She thinks about Tony a lot. Every dirty thing you could think of she imagines.
One day he knocks on her door and starts a flirtatious banter that just doesn’t exist in reality, only in her mind. The woman is delusional. But in her mind her and Tony are meant to be together and she will stop at nothing to try and make that happen.
As always Ash delivers a book that hits hard and fast. I am and always will be a fan of his writing.
This is a short, sick and twisted story. It ticked all the boxes for me . Im enjoying reading this author and his books . I Highly recommend him if you love dark, messed up gore galore blood baths this ones for you .
The first in Ash’s Seven Deadly Sins Collection was worth waiting for. A story that proves jealousy really only gets you in trouble. Bloody, stabby, stompy trouble. He ain’t your man so just leave it alone. It really is for the best.
i wanted a short spooky, gore filled series to read and this popped up on my kindle recs.. i absoultely LOVED book 1. seven deadly sins always intrigued me and this is like the first thing ive read/dived into about them & let's just say..
envy. what a good way to start.
i've felt envy,i think we all have but our main fmc.. i'm so so happy the villain is the woman. like yes please.
the twist i also didn't expect. it twisted at one point and let's just say she lashed out. and it was the most beautiful gorey masterpiece.
i'm a new fan of splatter/extreme horror so im not on the EXTREME EXTREME yet. but this is my first intro ash's work too and im hooked. seeing they have so many other extreme horror books too. SLAY. pun intended.
anyways. a short novella. less than 50 pages but it packed a PUNCH. i sensed it may be an anthology piece and im loving reading antho stories atm so this one. a huge slay.
can't wait to read the rest, but for now here is my ratings🥹
characters? 5⭐️ i didn't think i'd like all the characters but i actually did. i loved our main fmc so much though, she is the epitome of envy and i feel like she feeds the darkness that comes with envy.. PERFECTLY. even our main MMC. shit i feel bad for him, no spoilers but well. he is art🥲
plot? 4.5⭐️ honestly i didn't think you'd get much plot in less than 50 pages but clearly ash can write. their story is incredible. and i'm already hooked for the entire series🙂↔️ the storyline is written to suit envy perfectly. so so perfectly.
gore? 🩸🩸🩸 not a huge gore fest but has brain juices and popping eyeballs so that's fun. but honestly i appreciate the not absoultely disgusting gore,i was actually rooting for the depravity in which our fmc's showed🤭
overall? 4.5⭐️ an easy 4.5 for me! i loved it! hooked on the series and i know the story will get better as the series go on and the sins come together🤭
Starting the first of seven shocking horrors we meet a woman with a hankering for bad boy action. I mean you can't get much badder than a tattooed drug dealer. Personally I don't see the appeal but then again, recent thirst traps have shown that we all have varying tastes. So the sexual attraction and jealousy our narrator feels, though bizarre. Relatable, as we were all once young and naive, chasing the bad boy. Personally, I always like Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. So of course she learns more about Tony, including his sexual habits with her neighbour. Building not only tension because no one likes being kept awake by their neighbours round the clock nakedness. But also building on her resentment towards Miram. No surprise as this an Ash Ericmore book that things go loco fairly quickly as the story is 67 pages. But boy does it pack a punch as this woman embodied Envy pretty well.
Our main character wants her neighbours man. Deciding she wants to take him she goes to apologise to her neighbour. Things do not go as planned.
This wasn’t my favourite by Ash but that’s hard to top as he’s got so many amazing books out. Personally feel this one’s intro was rather long with getting to know our main character and living inside her head. But as always with Ericmore books we can expect sex, gore and a decent story. And this one delivered for being a shorter story! Sneaky little twist in there as well which I thoroughly enjoyed! Looking forward to the next instalment already!
The noises of satisfaction emanating from the flat next door are almost too much to bear. Miriam doesn’t deserve Anthony. Envy rears its ugly head and spirals out of control.
If you’ve ever wondered what damage a cast iron pan could do, look no further. Ew !
This is the first book in The Sumner of Sin series. Another Ericmore series that I’m going to become addicted to!
Envy was a great short story, straight to the point and fast-paced. The only bit I didn't understand was why she felt the need to go and apologise to her or maybe it was more she just wanted to try and clear the air between them?? I still very much enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book's release.
Who doesn't love a delulu woman? Very straight to the point tale that escalates further and further, ending in quite the bloodbath. With Ericmore's iconic writing, this gave me the occasional good chuckle, and little gory details left to the imagination. I can't wait for the second sin!
So many parts of this reminded me of my own life. The mundane parts I should say, not the… well I won’t post any spoilers but if you’ve read any of Ash’s other books I’m sure you can imagine.
Started this series of seven books of sin Book 1 she is sick of hearing the girl next door in bed with her boyfriend Anthony until he knocks on her door then she decides she want him for herself and goes next door….. A bloody but brilliant start to this series 🔪
i find myself having a hard time understanding the author’s writing 😭 sometimes it feels like its a bunch of words put together. someone told me it was british english!?
other than that the story was okay. it did give me 😮 moment and the overall concept was interesting.
First short story of the seven deadly sins series. Our main character wants another woman's man. This is a quick one and really gets into the gore near the end. Good start for the series.
Well. That was a story that seemed like it was going ok, then took a train to crazy town. I guess it shows how easily anger can switch to psychopathy. Seven deadly sins reading challenge-envy
Well, this was wild! Envy & jealousy doesn't suit anyone, but it sure as hell makes a fascinating story. This was bloody, messed up and highly entertaining.
