The Sailor we were introduced to in the first two books would’ve never gotten herself caught up like that and she damn sure wouldn’t have drawn up a prenup that said…….. you gotta read the book to find out. 😏😏😏😏 Outside of that, I absolutely adored Sailor and Rival as a couple. That man was patient, persistent, and intentional. He knew exactly who he married so, he made sure to put action behind his words and show up every f*ckin’ time. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

This story really jumps right in and hooks you from the first chapter because.. did she really do that? No preview of the tools? No test drive?
Sailor and Rival’s love story reads like their spirits were communicating what words couldn’t. An independent woman not used to hearing no and uninterested in commitment but Rival Hassan was born with my wife energy.
Rival was patient - determined to give Sail every ounce of happiness she was too scared to take for herself. He had so many little moments of just showing up from his texts to popping up on her daddy, and he read her like a book when she tried to run.
It was so easy to love Rival my girl didn’t stand a chance!

I was wondering if Sailor was going to her happily ever after! I did not think it would start so messy though lol. This book showcased how Sailor did a lot for her family and chose to remain strong through her sibling's struggles. Now, that wasn’t asked of her, but we see why she came off strong in the past two books. Rival definitely came in and shook her life up from day 1 and saw something in Sailor that she didn’t. He was not coming up off our girl and was a bit delulu lol but it worked. I wish Rival's past had been fleshed out a little more, but I was still satisfied overall with the resolve. Can’t wait to see what’s KC Mills has coming next as this was a good addition and conclusion to the Hearts Consent Series!

I expected so much more from this book. It feels like Sailor isn’t written like the same character I’ve come to know from the previous books. The Sailor I’m familiar with wouldn’t make the decision to marry someone like that. And not Sailor doing all of this for some dick??? I was genuinely flabbergasted. Baby I couldn’t believe it. While I usually enjoy the fake marriage trope, I cringed at some of the details revealed in this story. I just couldn’t believe my girl Sailor was going out sad like this LOL! Not Ms Not Losing A Case Lawyer Sailor. Say it ain’t so!!! The book feels as if it started in what should have been the middle of the story. It would have been more complete if we had seen Sailor and Rival's initial meeting, him working in her house, and the bond they formed as friends. We didn’t even get to see her propositioning him, which left me wondering why he was so adamant about staying married to her. What led to that decision? I think this backstory should’ve been added. Additionally, the one year of their marriage was a significant part of the narrative, yet we didn’t see what happened after that year. There are some cute moments in the book, but overall, I felt those moments weren’t enough to leave a lasting impact. I’m giving it three stars for its emotional vulnerability and for the fact that Rival was dedicated to his wife from the beginning. There was so much potential for this book to be better.

Sweet love!
I've been waiting on Sailor's story for a while now, and this didn't disappoint. She was definitely a mess, but I'm so glad Rival saw beneath that surface-level veneer she often portrayed because beneath that was a scared woman who really did want to be loved, and Rival showed her he could be home for her if she just let him.

Sailor and Rival
Now. Before we start let’s be reminded that I LOVE A MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE! This one was unique though! Imagine being a lawyer and writing yourself into it and not leaving a loophole to get out. Sailor was too smart for her own good! Rival said he was bout that life. I love that he SAW her and could tell what she needed well before she was able to admit it to herself. Once Sailor got out of her own way, she was able to let Rival love her the way she deserves to be loved. And I looooove the way he loved her. New book bae alert!!!!
Now Torrance Addison Sr? That joker is something else. I do like that he started to understand himself more over the course of the series. But Rival let him know he was with it and was ready to go blow for blow.

4.5 The trope was "accidental marriage" and I listened to the audiobook. The narrators were good.
I loved Rival's BDE and alpha attitude. He saw something in Sailor and wouldn't let her shake him. I liked that her subconscious and inebriation forced her to do what she really wanted. Her purposely trapping herself was crazy! Recommend when wanting a cute drama free contemporary romance.

I'm glad K.C. finally shared Sailor's story, but the reason for her and Rival's marriage felt a bit far-fetched. Sailor doesn't seem like the same character we were introduced to before. The Sailor I know wouldn't tie the knot with someone like that, especially not for such a trivial reason. I was really taken aback. I usually love the fake marriage trope, but some details in this story made me cringe. I had higher hopes for this book.

Ok. So far, I've enjoyed this book the most. Sailor is a mess and has finally met her match. Just because you have money, doesn't mean you get whatever you want. I applaud Rival for being the man she needed.

The whole series was so good. Each sibling with their own quirks but all mature enough to recognize love when they saw it. Good for Sailor for letting someone sincerely love her.

Unexpected
This was actually the most interesting story out of the three siblings. I was not expecting Sail to have to be forced to take accountability for her act. Glad that Rival wasn’t having any of her foolishness. They worked really well together and this was the perfect ending to this family saga.

Just OK
It's fiction. That is what I kept telling myself because the basis of this book was just silly.
I read the other books in the series a while ago so admittedly I didn't really remember the siblings trails and tribulations, but learning about Sailor it just felt like she was reckless and spoiled for the sake of being reckless and spoiled especially when she bullied her way into a "contract" with Rival because she wanted to get her way by any means necessary. Rival was also kinda cringe to me by how determined he was to love her and make her love him back.
Overall, although this book wasn't super long, it took me almost a week to read it because it didn't hold my interest, so I kept putting it down. Sailor and Rival separately were OK as characters, but their love story didn't move me one bit. The epilouge wrapped it all with a bow, and a HEA did come, but even that didn't make me change my opinion about the totality of the book.

This was a different spin on the fake marriage/forced proximity trope and I didn’t hate it. One thing is for sure, Rival knew what he wanted from Day 1 & didn’t let up lol. Also he loves the way “my wife” tasted on his lips because he didn’t hesitate to let folks know “YOU SEE HER, THATS ME”. Sailor was a little infuriating at times, but the author made it plain early on to give her some grace as she navigated learning to love and be loved & discovering how to give up control. This was a quick and fluffy-ish read that encourages you to trust & be vulnerable, because things could look better than you imagined. Even though we emotionally saw when the relationship shifted, I do wish that we saw how they addressed the legal “expiration” of their arrangement when the time came since that was such a foundational part of their story.

The stance/approach this book took on sexuality/sexual expression was BOLD but I loooooveed!!!!! In 2025 we rarely view sexual habits through the lens of coping or a way to guard ourselves from having real feelings. And the his book did just that!
I loved the way Sailor evolved from this woman who thought sex was her superpower & shield against vulnerability and pain to a woman who realized that love and vulnerability with ONE person you can trust is the real super power. And Shoutout to Rival for being her shield until she figured that out.
I just loved this book’s take on love and relationships. For all the girlies that are trying to navigate trust and vulnerability we see you!
Side note: I do agree that the start of their relationship was a little nonsensical and far fetched but once you get passed that and into Sailor’s evolution the story is worth reading.

At first when I started this book which is the last of the series, I didn’t know what to expect. It started with the wild child being married. It threw me off but once I started getting into it, it was exactly something Salior Addison would do. Very impulsive, spoiled and would do anything to get what she wanted.
The connection between her and Rival was interesting. It was Definitely unconventional but I loved how he held her accountable for her actions. I loved how he showed what love and commitment looks like through his actions.
I Love the family connection between the Addison’s and how they spoke their minds. How supportive they were of each other even when they made mistakes.
This is an amazing love story. I really enjoyed this series.

A bit too much family content to explain the heroine's attitude. I would have dumped all their sorry asses & moved 1000 miles away.
Because who in this era even cares what their parents or siblings think when we make decisions about our lives especially when when we are financially independent & not living in Mom's basement?
The 3rd act mandatory misunderstanding had me groaning. In fact I expected instead a time jump or maybe even a mutually chosen separation after the 1 year contract, to gauge their bond.
The too perfect ending with a 360° just stretched my suspension of disbelief. Never met anyone in real life doing that so here we are.
Because who in this era even cares what their parents or siblings think when we make decisions about our lives especially when when we are financially independent & not living in Mom's basement?

Truly Seen
This was a beautiful story about patience, persistence, trust, and love. Sailor and Rival had a very unconventional beginning, but their connection was solid. Rival saw who Sailor was with and without the armor she displayed to the world. He knew she was special and bet his heart on her. Their interactions with family and friends really helped to move the story along. The vulnerability and passion between them were soul stirring. This couple found peace, comfort, and joy. Love was so worth the effort!

Beautifully written love story! Sailor was strong independent woman,but Rival saw right through her and went after what he wanted! I loved the family dynamics and friendships! Rival was strong, independent, attentive and strive d to be all he could be for Sailor, she was fighting at every turn until she couldn't any longer! Rival standing up to sailor dad was pivotal moment, but I think the talk Sailor assign Rival's mom was nurturing and reassured Sailor in every aspect imaginqeable! I loves the epilogue and hope to see more of Rival and Sailor!

I’ve been in my KC Mills bag lately. This series has had me in a chokehold 😂 , I was so happy I decided to read now when Sail’s story just dropped.
Overall I enjoyed it, but TJ’s book was my favorite. Something was missing for me with Sail and Rival. The story lost a bit of steam; although it captured my attention initially. I started slowly reading around 70%, the drama was minimal- which was good. The plot around the ex, fell a bit flat for me. It seemed unnecessary, especially so late in the story. But the repair was sweet.
Cute, but book 2 was my fav.

Perfect for Sailor
Sailor!!!! My soul sista was doing her thing from book 1 and I loved how she owned it. I laughed so much in just about every scene she was in. I knew she needed something to snap her a$$ together but wasn’t expecting what Rival brought to my girl‘s life.
The book started off with a banger of a good time and took us on a soul searching journey and I enjoyed every minute!!!
Sailor needed a man that was not afraid of all that she was and one that saw her true self and worth and Rival was just enough Alpha but with the perfect balance of gentle.
