Jak się czują dinozaury, Swapna Haddow i Dr Diplo. Książka z serii Opowieści 5 minut przed snem
Witajcie w Dinowiosce u najlepszego terapeuty dr Diplodoka! Odwiedzają go małe dinozaury przytłoczone wielkimi problemami.
Urocze ilustracje działają kojąco i wyciszająco – idealna pozycja do wspólnego czytania 5 minut przed snem.
wow i love this 😭 the strategies that they included are awesome and i appreciate that they give definitions of emotions in a child-friendly way, and examples on what that specific emotion can look like. this book makes my teacher heart so happy 🥹
I don't have children, but I love to collect and read children's literature. When I read this book, I feel like I have someone sitting with me telling me that no matter what, everything is going to be okay. We can feel many emotions such as mad, happy, shy, sad etc. because we are human, but the most important thing is how we handle and understand them. I believe that this book will help parents explain all feelings to their children, helping them accept their identity and what it means to be human. So beautiful.
Borrowed this book from our local library and will be buying a copy for our home!
Little Dinosaurs, Big Feelings is a beautifully written and illustrated book that is easy to follow for children and their care takers. The pictures are vibrant and show such wonderful array of emotions. After each story section, the instructions from Dr. Diplo are easy to follow, age appropriate, extremely helpful tips on regulating emotions both big and small.
Highly recommend for those who work with children too. The skills this book can teach our youngsters are so important.
Highly recommend this sweet, graphic novel that follows dinosaurs that have different feelings and real ways to process them, while also acknowledging that everyone feels them, it's normal, it's ok, and it will pass (and how it feels for different... Dinosaurs). Super cute resource that is beautifully illustrated and that I'll come back to again and again. My (6 year old) daughter and I loved reading and practicing together too.
Dr. Diplo helps other dinosaurs with their feelings. We meet ten dinosaurs who each feel a different emotion. Dr. Diplo helps each of them deal with their feeling by using a different exercise. I appreciate the way the illustrations work with the stories so readers can try the exercises too. A terrific book for families to open dialogue about how each person feels.
Fabulous dinosaurs, relatable scenario illustrations, and easy-to-apply strategies for teaching social and emotional skills to small children who love dinosaurs.
Cute! Great way to share coping skills with children!
It is odd and unfortunate that a book so focused on healthy coping and therapy talk would put a dino into a parentification role. A kid dinosaur responsible for 7(!) younger siblings--getting them all ready in the morning and dropping them off at multiple places by himself before his school day starts and then helping make dinner? That's not normal or ok. They should have given him another reason to be worried.
