In a world where magic follows strict natural laws, someone just tore up the rulebook. As a master druid, Colin is the first line of defense against magical disruption. But this time, he's hunting a shadow—an ancient practitioner who's found a way to twist reality itself...I've decided to resurrect a god.
Not by necromancy, mind you—I'm not the Dark Druid, after all. But someone's determined to stop me, and they're willing to break the very laws of magic to do it.
As the last master druid on Earth, I should know better than to mess with divine affairs. But when the Celtic gods offer me a deal—find the ancient sorcerer warping reality, and they'll give me the means to bring back the only deity who can complete my training—how can I refuse?
Except I'm facing an enemy who can literally change how magic works. My druidic abilities, the very powers I've spent years honing, are becoming unpredictable. My allies are getting nervous. And the clock is ticking.
I've faced vampires, fae, and angry gods before, but I've never encountered power like this. How do you fight someone who can shatter the fundamental rules of sorcery?
I have no idea, but I guess there's only one way to find out...
The gods should know better than to send Colin McCool on a holy mission. But when the fate of magic itself hangs in the balance, sometimes you need a battle druid who doesn't play by the rules.
M.D. Massey describes himself as the prototypical INTJ. His eclectic background provides him with a rich tapestry of experiences to draw on when crafting fiction, as evidenced by the believable worlds and relatable characters he creates.
As a former Army combat medic (91B), professional martial arts instructor (Krav Maga, JKD, FMA), and women's self-defense instructor, he possesses a unique understanding of close combat, firearms, and criminal violence that few authors can match. This knowledge provides an element of realism to the Druidverse™ novels, setting them apart from other fantasy series.
Mr. Massey lives in the Texas Hill Country with his family and a huge American bulldog that keeps him company while he writes. When he's not in his office or at the local coffee shop writing, you can find him in his garage pummeling inanimate objects or knife-fighting with his friends.
This is the latest in MD Massey's masterful Colin McCool series. l can't believe it's been 40 books already.
Colin continues his fight against the undead on the Hellpocalypse world. But he quickly figures out he is fighting above his weight class. Going for help leads to other issues.
l'm guessing this miniseries will be settled with one more book, but will be anxiously looking forward to however many books it takes.
This book was pretty brutal Colin was really pushed to his limits. Ngl this book really mad me hate click, I knew he always had ulterior motives but this went beyond violating Colin’s trust. Of course he’s not the only one involved because it’s obvious other gods are pushing him down this path, but it awful Colin barely has a choice because the overall situation is dire.
We finally start to see the price of accumulating power so quickly like Colin has. What’s even more daunting he already pass halfway to godhood. Even transforming to his Hyde side takes a toll like Jesus Christ can anything go well 😭😭. This book made me genuinely nervous that’s a first I just hope Colin can find that balance but these bastards so determine to push him.
Anyways I was happy he made his first offer to del and Mateo. Colin have come to terms that this fight is not his alone to save humanity and to not let the hellopacalypse occur again in prime tl he needs a team more then ever. Also I wonder if he’ll recruit prime Crowley since he’s “pure” now.

Colin is off on yet another dangerous quest to save the humans
Poor Colin is sent off in a dangerous quest and when he tries to recruit some help things go from bad to worse. Click makes a brief appearance and Colin is about fee up with the tricksters interfering ways. Lots of action and death in the path he's set on. We get to see Luther and the gang from the alternate time line. The creatures trying to kill Colin are some serious my creepy creations let by a powerful witch. Bits of funny distractions and a possible engagement too!
This was another great installment in the Junk Yard Druid series. Colin is still in the hellpocalypse trying to stop the vampire virus that has devastated this world. While he is looking for an item to get is under control he runs into a God that needs a favor. To get what he needs he must go on a quest and destroy an ancient evil.
M.D.Massey delivers once again in this latest Druid book. A must read.
Once again Colin is placed in an unwinnable position yet triumphs in the end. Like Hercules and his labors, Colin comes out on top. A great read as only MD can provide!
Very good! Loved the story line, though hopping between worlds can make your head spin. Kind of looking forward to seeing who who uses the staff on next! Great read! And a new pet that's actually royalty! Way cool!!!
Colin's journey continues. Another amazing entry in tyre annals of the junkyard druid. I continue to enjoy the stories and hope Colin continues to maintain what other seek to make him lose.
Possibly my favorite book in all his series so far with so many tie-ins from other adventures popping up, an interesting dog I want to know more about. Keeping track of timelines is challenging but here for it.
Massey continues to deliver the goods in this series. No complaints about the content. Massey is a little too in love with some esoteric language and has made an incredibly complex history in the many volumes of the Druidverse, but somehow manages to keep it all together.
Really enjoyed this one. The story is fast paced and with good spots of humor. This is audiobook review so the narrator as in all these books is just perfect. I don't think I could listen to anyone else tell these stories.
