Camelot Court #3

The Diamond's Consort

Rate this book
The Diamond’s Consort is third in a five-book series and ends on a CLIFFHANGER. It is a slow burn, modern-day retelling, loosely based on the legend of King Arthur. Aspects of the lore will be layered throughout the entire series, but it is not a fantasy romance. The main female character will eventually end up with more than one love interest, and the ultimate goal is for everyone to live and love without limits, so please check the content warnings on the author's website.

Camelot Court is a world of secrets. Nothing is as it seems, and the first phase of The Quest asked readers to Pledge with Trust and Live with Honor. Now, it is time to Fight with Courage...

Elle Parker

In 2023, Elle began writing again while processing grief and giving voice to pain she’d repressed for a long time. She found she had a lot of stories inside her, all shaped by her experiences as a mother, Registered Nurse, and female with ADHD and—what she hopes is very lovable—anxiety.

Elle’s characters are flawed, tiny pieces of her soul, and her stories often involve unpacking trauma, finding her characters’ voices, and reclaiming the freest, truest versions of who they are. Elle’s writing journey has been very much the same for her own life. Her stories vary in genre, sub-genres, and tropes, because she couldn’t pick just one.

But luckily, 2023 was also the year Elle Parker learned she didn’t always have to choose.

What do you mean I finished this book feeling bad for a certain villainous side character?? She better not be who I think she is or I'm gonna have to eat these words...

I honestly didn't think the girls would warm up to each other at all, I was expecting this series to end with Quinn riding off into the sunset with her guys while the other maidens are stewing off in the distance, but you know what...maybe it's okay if it ends with them being friends. Or maybe that particular evildoer is incapable of that, we'll see.

As for who I think she is...that final chapter we got? I could be wrong, but it's giving her. Alternatively another maiden with a grudge against Quinn. But somehow more the first one? Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how that's gonna develop.

In The Diamond's Consort we finally got some nuggets of information, about the Court itself and about Kingston and Landon's past, as well as a teeny tiny bit about Max's. Silly me, I thought we'd get all the answers at once.

Kingston sure knew how to tease the information drop, right when Quinn (and I) thought he was going to share something, he'd be like "I'll tell you soon". Kingston baby, the time for soon has passed, soon is NOW!!

While we're at Kingston, this was definitely HIS book, he got so much more page time, and it wasn't all about him being nice and kind and holding back. We got to see a lot more than kisses, and more of his love for Landon too.

There was even a lil moment between Landon and Max, but I don't think that'll develop at the same speed.

The stuff we learned about Landon made me want to give him a hug. Honestly, everyone in this series deserves one.

Max is still my undisputed fav, but I love how Quinn is balancing all three of them, giving them an equal amount of attention, making sure they're all included and don't feel forgotten.

Though, Max can be frustrating at times too, he was finally opening up and then something happened and he's back to sour wolf mode. Boo.

My favourite thing about him is his protectiveness of Quinn, all three of them are, but I just feel like he's on a completely different level. Like, he can do things the other two can't (not their fault), which makes me love him even more.

There was a scene where one of the three is revealed to have a motorcycle, and it's not who you'd expect. So I would like to start a petition to get *ALL* of them motorbikes, for the aesthetic or otherwise, please and thank you.

It actually reminded me of Knightriders, the 1981 movie, I was fully expecting them to hold a jousting tournament on bikes at some point. It's not too late to write that in Elle!!!

I loved the challenges this time around, particularly the clue solving one, that's something I'd love to do myself. It was funny seeing SOMEONE failing, and badly at that.

You can tell the ending was a cliffhanger, Parker has me so scared about what's going to happen to Quinn, so I NEED book four to come out this year. I mean, I need it tomorrow, but I'll settle for this year instead of next. I love this story.

4.5

If you have NOT read The King's Maiden and The Viper's Lady, Stop here and read those first. The Diamond's Consort is the 3rd novel in a 5-book series and it most definitely cannot be read as a standalone. All of the novels thus far end on a cliffhanger and this one is no different.

I am not entirely sure how Elle keeps track of all the moving parts, but you would never know how difficult it probably is with the way that she seamlessly weaves all the storylines and characters together.

The Viper's Lady definitely left me with more questions than Elle does answer for us in this book, but as many answers as she provides, that many more questions pop up throughout this novel.

Quinn, Love, Beautiful, Princess and Good Girl—call her what you want, but she is one of the strongest FMCs I have ever read and she continues to show how she is the best match for all three of the MMCs. She knows when to push and pull. She is showing these men how to be vulnerable and the strength that comes from that. She is also learning more about herself and what she is capable of. The power that she wasn't aware that she had. I love an FMC who has a little (or a lot) of the "fuck the patriarchy" mentality and who understands that Love is Love, whatever that looks like.

MAX DREAD (yes, the caps are required). Of all the new questions I have since reading, a lot of them focus on MAX. Yes, we get a lot more information from Kingston about their past, but there is so much more I need to know. He is my favorite Burnt Marshmallow, and I hope we get more answers in book 4. The information I got either through Kingston or MAX's actions or inferences I made made my heart break for him. It is clear, though, His love for Quinn is there and it seems as though he will do what he needs to protect her, and I do not want to doubt him, but there are so many questions I need answers to.

Landon and Kingston,( Yes, they go together). I loved Kingston in this book. This is the first time we have had real interaction with him and not just his thoughts. A lot of my questions have been answered because of these interactions, but in learning them, my heart has broken for him all the more. What he has been holding in to protect the ones he loves has left me speechless. Learning more about the world he was forced into and the effects of what power and greed can do. I cannot fathom how he made it out the way he did (yes, he is fiction, but power and greed are real). There are still a lot of secrets he is keeping, but to finally understand his motives and what he is willing to go through to protect the ones he loves helps understand him all the more. His love for Landon and Quinn is palpable.
Landon (he is my favorite). My heart is just broken for him. While at this point we have gotten to know him. What Kingston reveals about him has me needing to know more. The conversation that he has with Kingston literally brought me to more tears. The love that he has for Quinn and the need to reassure her that he will never leave her and his need to atone for his past choices. The way that he just knows what she needs and is willing to do what she needs to make sure she is happy.

and finally... That ending, um, excuse me...while I knew that there would be a cliffhanger expecting the last chapter. It has me asking more questions and thinking back to clues I may have missed. Like Kingston has always said. Words Matter!

This is my honest review and thank you. Elle Parker for the chance to read the ARC

OH 👏🏻 MY 👏🏻 LANTA 👏🏻

These secrets are deliciously killing me. Normally, I can sniff out twists a mile away, but here? I’m getting nothing. Sure, I caught a few of the smaller vibes, like who’s secretly crushing on who, but the big reveals? Locked up tighter than a forbidden door in a Camelot castle.

This is a seductive Camelot-meets-secret-society fantasy with enough yearning to make your heart ache and enough spice to make you fan yourself… and then there’s more spice on top of that. The challenges? Utterly addictive! I loved them and done my fair share. My real life competitive streak was thriving (IYKYK).

The thing about reading a series is always the cliffhanger and the absolute NEED that you immediately feel after finishing. And that is the need for the next book!!! And this was no different.

Elle Parker, you wicked genius… you’ve done it again.

ARC Review - The Diamond’s Consort by Elle Parker.

I loved this series so much up to this point. Book one and 2 were really up there and great reads.
Unfortunately at no point did I connect with the story where I felt I can’t put down this book. I do however understand that this is the middle book.

It was good to get some better insight to Camelot and the society, but it was still very vague and secretive to the point of annoyance.

The spice in this book was an overkill and predictable. In the morning when their eyes open someone is getting it. When someone is sad they are made better by getting it. When they are in a bath it’s done…. When it’s night time…. Done. It wasn’t sexy or steamy anymore and felt I just want to skip over it. Quinn was a needy little thing throughout this book and I think the quest lost the plot.

I’m not sure if this was supposed to have been a bit more dark or mysterious. But I didn’t feel connected to any of the characters this time round.
The only positive thing I feel was that we got to see a bit more of some of the maidens or Ladies and Camelot insight. However there are still way to many questions and I feel a bit lost in at this stage.

I hope the rest of the books will make up for this one.

Elle can just stamp my five stars across this whole mind F of a series 😂

Another fantastic read that I just could not get enough of. While we get some answers in this book, in true Elle fashion we are left with even more questions lol. I’m apparently a sucker for the pain because I’m craving the waiting game for the next book. Also knowing that she leaves hidden Easter eggs in her stories I was on the hunt to see what I could gather as far as clues for the future books.

I was sooooo happy we got more of Kingston, and of course our other boys, but he has been patiently waiting his turn to share more of himself and ughhhhh I just love him. But also GO GIRL for getting not only Kingston, our lovely gentleman with the weight of the world on his shoulders, but also Landon and Max, the gentle soother and the “bad boy” with a soft side only for her.

I also appreciated that some more challenging topics were brought up in this story with care and weren’t forced down your throat but presented in a way to truly make you stop, think, and feel for what is not just happening in the book but what happens in the world around us.

There were so many creative and entertaining moments in this story and of course plenty of moments that keep us on the edge of our seats. I laughed, cried, and may have sassed some characters for being so passive or mysterious rather than just spitting out the deets we all so desperately crave.

Lastly, the banter and the true friendships (especially with our girl Gia) are so freaking fun! Like I need a Gia in my life or just a small group of girl’s girls who want to just enjoy life.

It was such a beautiful, sexy, fun story and just made me fall in love all over again. It’s an honor to arc read these stories and to have been able to watch Elle grow as a writer as well, though from the first book I was SHOCKED it was her debut!

Drama, development and denial 😅
Holy heck things are moving forward at a rate of knots for these poor guys, and honestly the more you learn the more your heart breaks for Quinn and her men 😣
Quinn is so strong and a real anchor point, she is determined to get her men to open up and let her in on the secrets and lies that are holding them back and also muddying the waters between them all 😳 Landon is struggling with the bits and pieces of the memories returning and balancing that with doing all he can to show Quinn he would always choose her 🥰 Max Dread has serious beef with the King and his white knight adding to the tension but it’s clear he will do anything for his princess…and it appears he has a secret he may be sticking to to do that 🧐 and the ln with Kingston, oh boy, is that a complicated unraveling of emotional turmoil thanks to an awful childhood and his father - be prepared for your heart to crack 💔 he is giving Quinn bits of himself to cement the connection they have!
It’s clear Quinn is their priority and at times they can put their issues aside but at others they’re fire and gasoline so you wonder if they ever will make it 😟 despite that the spice does pick up in this book and there are some strong group scenes…..mainly from two boys in particular 😏😏
It’s good to see Quinn also building bonds with the other maidens and there may be some surprises in there with certain girls 😮
The past snippets from the boys time adds a greater dimension to them and then that last chapter from some other mysterious player really adds to the whole mystery! Very much looking forward to the next one 😄

Oh man, every book in this series just gets better and better. Every question that gets answered is replaced by two more and I’m just falling more in love with Quinn and her men. This installment focuses on the Courage Trial and Quinn will need courage to proceed in the Quest while surrounded by people who want nothing more than for her to fail. Kingston, Landon and Max are in her corner but their personal history threatens to jeopardize the bond that Quinn is determined to form.
We learn a lot about Kingston in this book. His family, his past and how he, Landon and Max all came to know each other. We really get a glimpse into what it was like to grow up in Camelot Court and it quickly becomes evident that their lives have never been a fairytale.
A common enemy is emerging and this book feels like the beginning of a revolution for Camelot. Unfortunately, the people in power don’t play fair and it will be up to Quinn and her men to try and stay one step ahead of the their power hungry leaders.
The way Elle writes books that I literally cannot put down is amazing. These books are funny, mysterious, heart breaking and hot as hell. Quinn is a woman who knows what she wants and I absolutely love her! Gia as always is scene stealer, and these men, well let’s just say Quinn is a very lucky woman. I am feral for the next book where I know I will find out more secrets and also probably be left on another devastating cliffhanger but I will always come back for more because these books are addictive and just so fun to read!

✨ ARC Received. Sanity? Not So Much. ✨

Firstly, massive thanks to Elle Parker for the ARC of The Diamond’s Consort — I swear, every time I open a Camelot Court book, it’s like teleporting into a decadent, dangerous fairytale... one where your heart gets stomped on, glued back together, and then drop-kicked off another cliff. (Because Elle never lets us breathe easy, does she?)

Let me get this out of the way — YES, it’s a why-choose romance, but listen… Kingston. KINGSTON. His Majesty has officially staked a claim on my heart, and I’m not even mad about it. Getting more page-time with him, peeling back those enigmatic layers, watching the King become something more than just a polished facade? Chef’s kiss.

But let’s talk Quinn. Our girl SHINES in this one. This isn’t just another "strong heroine fights her way out" arc — it’s about emotional strength. It’s about being the anchor when the tides get choppy. This time, the men lean on her, and it’s as empowering as it is touching. Quinn’s growth since Book 1? Off the charts.

We’ve come a long way from page one, and the found-family dynamics are hitting just right.

And can we talk about character reveals? Because The Diamond’s Consort pulls off the literary equivalent of turning a mirror on everyone you thought you knew. Sub-characters we once rooted for? Sus. People we gave side-eye to? Maybe not so bad.
Elle Parker is out here rearranging my moral compass like it’s a Rubik’s cube.
And of course… in true Elle fashion… THE CLIFFHANGER. Why must you hurt me like this, Elle? Why must you dangle us off emotional precipices like we’re contestants in a reality TV show called “Survive the Plot Twist”?

In short? The Diamond’s Consort is swoony, sharp, and emotionally satisfying with just the right amount of torment. Elle Parker continues to raise the bar — and then yank it away just when you think you’ve figured it out.

Currently stuck in a loop of rereading the ending and screaming into the void.

ARC/Advanced Reader Copy review

This series has been like navigating a labyrinth, but in the best way! Elle has a way of telling a story that gives you no choice but to continue reading. I mean, you always have a choice, but you won't want to stop! Lies, secrets, and truths have a way of coiling around you like a slithering monster in the dark. We get the chance to connect with the characters more in this one as we learn some truths about each of them and maybe get some previous questions answered. Just as I say you get some questions answered there are equally more secrets brought to light that I'm begging Elle to reveal. Elle's books really make you stop and think about situations that happen around you because there are many facets to the world around us. I love Quinn even more than I already did and the guys, they are equally all intriguing and I can't wait for the next book, but in true Elle fashion, we were left with a cliffy!

I've had such a good time with this series!

Max Dread has been my fav since the beginning, but I'm not liking what he's hiding. 😭 I feel like it's going to be so bad, and I'm not ready. I need him to be good.

the secrets, the mysteries, keep them coming! I love a book(s) i can't figure out! keeps me invested & wanting more.

reallly hoping Papa D'Arthur gets hit by a semi. or walked off a short cliff.

Landon, oh Landon. I hope he sorts some things out going on inside his head cause I need what he doesn't remember to come back into play. I'm trying to not say any spoilers here. 😅 but yeah.

thank you to Elle & The Author Agency for providing me with an e-arc.

I don’t know how Elle does it, with all these twists, turns, secrets and lies. It’s crazy good. You get one answer but also ten new questions. The spice has really amped up this book. I have so many questions I need answers to. And so many theories. One of which is Landon’s Nancy also Gia’s Nancy. And that cliffhanger WTH I need book four ASAP.

I was excited to dive back into Camelot Court after everything that went down in the last book. I loved all of the moments of intimacy (emotional and physical) between Quinn and her knights in this book. There are so many secrets being kept on all sides that the language used to refer to them could be quite vague. That led to some headaches when I tried to parse out what was being referred to. That being said, I still enjoyed the twisty story this series is shaping up to be. The cliffhanger in this book was crazy! This series is one where every book has you wanting to know more. I recommend reading this series if you enjoy being surprised by twists!

3⭐️|2🌶️

I want to start this by saying I love this series and I adore the characters. But this book? This book was not it. It suffers badly from middle book syndrome. I still think the overall concept is fantastic, but the execution here was slow, confusing, and honestly kind of infuriating at times.

We’re three books in and somehow we still have no more concrete knowledge than we did in book one. Everyone is more cryptic than ever, speaking in riddles and half-answers, and I still have no clue how the Camelot court works. Too many secrets on all sides made the plot almost impossible to follow—Kingston especially. His favorite lines? “You’ll see” and “I can’t tell you that.” Well, here’s what I can tell you, Kingston: you’re annoying.

Max doesn’t like Kingston or Landon… but can’t say why. Seriously? These constant “I know but I can’t tell you” moments sucked all the tension out of the story and replaced it with frustration. Plot-wise, we basically haven’t moved an inch from where we were in book one.

And the “courage test” this book revolves around? Escape rooms. Yes, escape rooms. Where exactly was the courage part? Wouldn’t that be an intelligence test? Unless you have an actual phobia of puzzles, this was about as intimidating as a rainy Tuesday afternoon. And the scoring system? Don’t even get me started. They said points would be scored both as a group and individually… and then somehow Elaine (or whatever her name is) just got away with doing absolutely nothing? Like, did her score just magically appear out of thin air? Make it make sense.

This series is reverse harem, but spice-wise this installment was seriously lacking. There were maybe two to three scenes total, and at least two of them faded to black. While we finally got penetrative sex here, the payoff was still underwhelming. There’s like one and a half group scenes, and that’s being generous. If I’m reading a why-choose romance, I want the steam.

Something else that threw me was how Elle addressed comments from earlier reviews in the text. I don’t mean in a subtle way—things like handwashing (which I mentioned in a previous review) and “swords crossing” were worked in through breaking the fourth wall, which felt a little on the nose. It came across more like Quinn was interacting with the reader directly rather than it flowing naturally as part of the story. Especially the MM/MMM potential—Quinn saying “I want my boyfriends to be boyfriends” made it feel forced instead of organic.

Dialogue was another sticking point. Lines like “Let’s go besties” or “Aesthetically it makes the most sense for me to drive a bike” just… no. And Max saying them? Ten times worse. Add to that Quinn constantly calling Max her “burnt marshmallow,” and the awkwardness hit new heights.

Now, I did enjoy most of the main character interactions, and I loved that we’re officially dipping our toes into MM territory because I’ve been waiting for that forever. Hopefully we’ll get MMM, but I’m still unsure but even just thinking about it has me frothing at the mouth. Landon and Max had that one moment at the beginning—Quinn noting how Max reached for Landon in his sleep—but there were absolutely no moments between Kingston and Max. The least you could do is give us double MM at this point.

I still have hope for this series, and I’m sticking with it to see where it goes. But this installment left me significantly less invested. Too much stick, not enough carrot.

I am going to start off by saying that I absolutely ADORED the first two books in this series. When I saw that it was a King Arthur retelling I was SAT! I thought the concept of The Quest was super interesting and the fact that it was a reverse harem?! I knew I was going to enjoy it. And I did really enjoy the first two books. With that being said, I have thoughts about the third book, and not all of them are good. I was really excited to finally have book 3 in my hands but I have to be honest, I'm a bit disappointed.

It felt like there was absolutely nothing happening. I have no more knowledge now than I did after reading the first two books. I am glad that we did get some more of Kingston's backstory, but all it really did was leave me with more questions. I get that he wants to rage against the system he was raised in, but I still feel like I have no real idea on how Camelot Court even works. The trials in this book were the courage trials, yet I don't really understand how figuring out how to get out of an escape room has anything to do with courage. And a point system was briefly mentioned, but we got zero explanation of how the points are doled out or how the hell Elaine somehow made it out unscathed when she literally did NOTHING.

I have more questions than answers about EVERYTHING. There's so many things that are mentioned but can't be talked about which honestly just made me feel frustrated, especially as the book progressed and it became obvious that we weren't actually getting any answers at all. The characters also lowkey irked me in this book. It felt like there was ZERO growth. If anything, it felt like they regressed. I really loved Quinn in books 1 and 2. However, in this book, she seemed so single mindedly focused on s*x it made her character seem quite shallow and mildly annoying. I'm glad we got more of Kingston in this one, but he was also annoying with how cagey he was about everything. I honestly thought I was going to lose it if I read "You'll see" one more time. Landon's personality is so confusing to me haha. Like I don't get how he goes from being this tortured soul to a Dom in the bedroom two seconds later. I missed Max in this one. He seemed like a side character and it made my heart hurt. It honestly doesn't feel like Quinn has any feelings for him other than finding him hot which is honestly kind of messed up since he's made it obvious he really cares about her.

I also really didn't like that Quinn was purposely keeping things from Max. Especially because she was so up in arms about Kingston keeping things from her the whole time. I also don't really understand how their relationship is going to work out when Max HATES Kingston and Landon. It doesn't seem like there will be any resolution between them any time soon either.

I don't know. This book just wasn't for me. I feel like I have so many more questions and rather than get any answers, we keep getting introduced to more things that lead to more questions and it just kind of made me lose interest in getting any answers.

Story: 5⭐
Spice: 3.5🌶️

The Diamond’s Consort swept me right back into the intrigue, danger, and irresistible chemistry of Camelot Court. Elle Parker delivers another captivating blend of tension, passion, and richly layered characters that kept me turning pages long past bedtime. The stakes feel higher than ever, the romance is deliciously intense, and the spice? Perfectly matched to the story’s emotional punch.

Elle Parker proves once again that Camelot Court is the most addictive place to lose hours of my life — and I regret nothing. For a brand-new author, Parker has built a world and cast of characters so compelling that I devoured this book. Three books in, and she’s still raising the stakes without ever losing momentum. The drama is sharper, the emotions deeper, and the heat? Utterly delicious.

Quinn’s growth is one of the highlights of this installment. She’s still fierce and independent, but here we see even more of her emotional strength. She’s the anchor in the storm, holding her ground as the men around her wrestle with old wounds, shifting alliances, and dangerous secrets.

Max shows more vulnerability this time, balancing duty with desire in ways that hit hard. Landon brings his trademark intensity, sharp-edged and relentless, while Kingston quietly stole my heart with his mix of loyalty and restraint. Each man deepens his connection with Quinn in distinct ways, and Parker makes every single moment count. The chemistry between them simmers hotter than ever, and when the payoff comes… it’s worth every second of the slow burn.

Plot-wise, Parker keeps the tension dialed high. Secrets are revealed while others rise in their place. Lines are drawn. And the undercurrent of revolution within Camelot Court refuses to be ignored. Each challenge feels like it’s pulling the pieces of a much bigger game into place — and the more answers we get, the more questions I have.

The cliffhanger? OMG. Brutal. But also exactly the kind of gut-punch I’ve come to expect (and crave) from this series. And though I normally detest cliffhangers with a fiery passion, the writing here makes it worth every second.

For a new author, I have to say: Elle Parker is an absolute master at pacing, layering in just enough intrigue, heat, and emotion to keep you hooked from the first page to the last. The Diamond’s Consort isn’t just a continuation — it’s a leveling up. It’s rare for a new author to keep me this invested three books deep in the same storyline, but Elle Parker has managed it with sheer talent, addictive plotting, and characters who won’t let go of my heart.

She didn’t just go big when she launched Camelot Court—she built an empire, and with each book, she keeps proving she knows exactly how to rule it.

If you think the story can’t be more complicated, then you might want to do a double check because we’re getting so much closer to the truth. Here in the third book of the series, Elle Parker has graced us yet again with more twists and gentle tease of parts that remain unknown (which we’re begging to be revealed already). Three men and one woman are bound to create chaos.. and also sticky sweet teamwork.

I think the most significant thing told in this book is the slow revelation of Kingston’s past and his bond with Landon. Some parts remain untold, sure, but we’re given enough to understand why Kingston feels like he has so much responsibility or guilt be it for the court, himself, and Landon to some extent. He wants everybody to have choices and is prepared to sacrifice himself if it means everybody can get their happy ending. The display of the characters’ complexity extends to the rest too; we even get bits of Vivian which is a very shocking surprise. That moment in the trial time-out is certainly hinting at something.

This book is a bit triggering compared to the first two, mainly because we’re exposed to a rather darker past of the characters. And yes, by that I mean the way Kingston was groomed or how Landon and Max were offered the same options but they chose different things, leading to different sides of the story.

It took quite some time for me to finish this book because I got so overwhelmed on certain chapters. Take it as your reminder to always do a quick check on your own being. But truly, it's a very entertaining story. There are trials and girlish interactions which feel like a breather. I can't believe I'm saying this but Vivian may be another burnt marshmallow character we get to see? I don't know, the pattern is similar with Max. It's dangerous because hell, for some reason I want to see if there's more to her. And the last chapter only got me playing smart.

AND YES! I TOLD YOU LAST TIME THAT I WISH I COULD SHOVE KINGSTON AND LANDON TO A CLOSET FOR 'KISS-AND-MAKE-UP' SESSION. HERE WE GET TO SEE THEM TEAMING UP. USE THAT TEASER AS YOU PLEASE!

But of course I don't forget my baby Max. Burnt marshmallow will be my three-course meal and I won't even complain. I'm not a fixer-upper but I sure hell can be a keeper.

Like many I really enjoyed The King's Maiden (Book 1 in the series) then came The Viper's Lady (Book 2) and that was good. The Diamond's Consort was not it for me, there were moments that I enjoyed but for the most part this was a miss. I really wanted this one to capture what I loved about book 1.

There were a lot more questions then answers. There's a plan but it can't be talked about, there is a past and that can't be talked about. The characters became more high school-esque that was a touch annoying for me. Quinn might have become my least favorite character after this (she was it book 1 for me) I couldn't stand the nicknames she was giving and how s*x minded she became with the guys. Don't get me wrong some of those scenes were giving. It felt like there was no flow to when one thing ended and another began. It stopped and didn't go back to what was being discussed or the scene would end and we'd pick up a couple/few days later.

With the first two books, the challenges were easy to understand and the one for The Diamond's Consort was fight with courage, the trail didn't really have anything to do with that in my opinion. When it wasn't trail time, it felt like none of the MC's really fought for what they wanted to have their HEA or work towards that. There were things that were thrown into this story that should have been worked somehow in the first two books, with the background of Quinn, siblings of the Knights etc., more characters being introduced.

That being said the POV's that made me push through were the guys, Kingston, Max, and Landon. It was giving an inside look at was being kept from Quinn among other interactions between themselves and other's. Yes, sometimes I wished they would just talk instead of saying you wouldn't understand or the hate that is between them, we still don't know why. I like a good MM romance and there was a touch of it that came from Kingston with Landon, more of that would be nice.

I was left a little disappointed. I really want to continue the series because I'm that kind of reader who needs to know how it ends, it would a little hard after this one. We shall see, hopefully what caught my attention with book 1 comes back.

First off thank you to the author for sending me an ARC of this book. I have been fortunate enough to receive ARC’s for all of the books in the series so far!! Also, thank you to The Author Agency. Once again, we have an insane cliffhanger and I think I know who the pawn is but at the same time I’m not sure. We picked off right where the last book ends but this one has more drama. Some things are being revealed, but at the same time I’m left with more questions. I’m loving the dynamic between the boys, Max, Landon and Kingston. Although Landon and Kingston aren’t besties with Max, I think from the first book we have made tremendous progress and also the secret history that’s happening between Landon and Kingston, I’m ready for the full story to be revealed!! I’m tired of the bits and pieces that we are getting and I need more. I need the full truth! Also, there’s something going on with Max and I’m not completely sure where this is heading but I don’t know if I’m liking the direction, so I’m gonna need us to clear that up as well. Also, I feel like this is self-explanatory, but I absolutely hate Kingston‘s dad, like I detest him. I can’t wait till he gets what’s coming to him!! I think Quinn has become more mature and has grown from the first book. I feel like she didn’t know what she was getting into. She still has some questions this time around, but she is getting answers and she deserves that. There are a lot of pieces on this chessboard and Quinn is trying to figure out what role she plays as well as what is the bigger story because there’s so much going on behind the scenes and I’m ready for all to be revealed. Once again, another book in this series has kept me hooked and left me wanting more and it seems like we might not get more until 2026…so that’s a bit sad but I’m looking forward to continuing the story and seeing how things play out!! Also, really excited for Gia and her upcoming story!!

The Camelot Court series becomes increasingly addictive with each new release, and the third book is no exception. This time around, the focus shifts to character development, revealing more about their childhoods even as the trials continue. Apparently growing up in Camelot was far from being the idyllic Utopia you would expect and trust me, social services would have had a field day with all their parents if the revelations here are anything to go by. Kingston was subjected to both psychological and physical abuse by his cruel father, who exerted total control over him and even now despite being an adult rules his son and the Brotherhood of Knights with an iron fist. Kingston's past experiences also seemed to have left deep emotional scars, but despite his memory loss his loyalty to Kingston was unwavering. Meanwhile, Max seemed to have a deep-seated hatred and fear towards a mysterious member of his family. Despite their unity in protecting their maiden, underlying tensions still existed between the three heroes. Even Vivian, the queen bee of the mean girls, managed to evoke a degree of sympathy from me, but as more information came to light, more questions arose. Meanwhile, heroine Quinn, seemed to be forming strong bonds with several of her fellow maidens as they were forced to co-operate if they were to succeed in the courage trials.

Elle Parker has once again written a captivating story that held my attention from start to finish. This gripping page-turner is packed with drama, suspense, and romance. While the fate of Quinn and her three knights remains uncertain, I'm hoping the sons and daughters of Camelot will unite behind them in their revolution against the old guard and with two books yet to come in the series, I'm sure we’re in for a thrilling ride.

I have absolutely NO WORDS! I am telling you right now, don’t walk, RUN to this series! I devoured it, stayed up way too late, read it every chance I got, could not put it down! The King’s Maiden is book one in the Camelot Court series by @whychooseparkerbooks It is a modern-day retelling, loosely based on the legend of King Arthur. It’s a dark romance, a HOT why choose, throw in some BDSM, secret society, it just has EVERYTHING you could want in a book series! First of all, the covers are STUNNING! (Actually what caught my eye when I saw them on a friend’s story).

This series follows Quinn Everly. Our amazing, strong, fierce warrior of a fmc. Considered from the “wrong side of the tracks”. She is in a very bad place due to much tragedy and decides to enter “The Quest”. It is a challenge at D’Arthur University’s brotherhood of Knights in Camelot Court’s to win a lot of money. Over the series, we follow her along the path of Challenges she must face to ultimately become The Queen!

Bring in our three hot men. Kingston~The King. Landon~Sir Lancelot. Max Dread~Sir Mordred. These three are so different in many ways with such HUGE intertwining pasts.
The chemistry between these four is HOT! No other words and gets better in every book🔥

Also greatly enjoyed her best friend Gia and the relationships she develops through the series with a few of the other girls. This author also writes beautifully the struggles with mental health issues throughout.

This is such a great slow burn, forbidden, secret society, why choose book. All three books were one just as good as the next! They leave you hanging each one and racing to the next one and I cannot wait for book four! GO READ THIS SERIES NOW!

What did I actually just read???

We jump right back in as The Viper's Lady concluded. I feel like this instalment was where a lot of secrets were revealed to Quinn, and it was a lot to process and unpack. I loved that Quinn and King finally got the time to build their connection and further their relationship. It was so sweet that Max opened up a little to Quinn and started to bring down those walls, but it sucked that he put them back up again after an event that occurred. Love Landon, he is the sweetest but definitely has some things to sort through but i get why he's scared.

Does anyone get the feeling that there are so many more secrets that are yet to be revealed? I've pieced some things together but not others, I feel like I'm missing vital details, and that's why I'm still in the dark a little. This book is filled with many ups and downs, so be prepared for that because i didn't expect it.

I really need book 4 because that cliffhanger was like a lightbulb moment!!! I think i know what went down and those involved, but I still need more information...

A couple of side notes, I love Gia and Izzy. They are the best. King's father and another certain mother are POS's and need to be deleted (hopefully by Quinn, I love a powerful queen).

Another incredible read from Elle. Thank you so much, Elle and your amazing team, for the opportunity to read this story. I am forever grateful 🙏

The Diamond’s Consort is everything I wanted it to be and more — intense, emotional, and absolutely impossible to put down.

From the very first chapter, Elle Parker pulls you deeper into the dangerous, glittering world of the Camelot Court Society, and this time the stakes feel higher than ever. The insight we get into Kingston is both eye-opening and utterly heartbreaking. Seeing behind his carefully constructed armor reveals just how deeply layered and complex he is, and it adds a raw vulnerability that makes him even more unforgettable.

The tension in this book is off the charts — Parker pushes Landon, Max, Kingston, and Quinn to new emotional and physical limits, and you can feel every moment of longing, power play, and desperate need between them. Each individual relationship has always been magnetic, but here, it reaches a level of intensity that keeps your heart pounding from start to finish.

Quinn’s growth in this installment is remarkable. She’s no longer just surviving in the society’s dangerous game — she’s stepping fully into her power, making bold moves, and proving that she is every bit the queen she was meant to be. Her evolution feels both empowering and earned, and I loved every moment of watching her rise.

And then there’s the spice… Elle Parker has outdone herself. It’s unapologetically bold, deliciously charged, and perfectly balanced with the emotional depth of the story. Every scene serves the characters and the plot, making it as meaningful as it is steamy.

The Diamond’s Consort delivers it all — heartbreak, heat, high-stakes drama, and moments that will stick with you long after you’ve turned the last page. If you’ve been following this series, prepare yourself: this book will grab you by the throat and not let go.

Far out.
This series just keeps getting better and better.

This third instalment of Camelot Court has left me speechless and craving more as we follow the tale of Quinn and her men through phase two in the quest for Camelot Court.

Quinn is still seeking the truths from her men who are still trying to hide some of it, but are they trying to hide certain part from her or from themselves?

There are some massive secrets revealed in this book with more to come I'm sure, but the emotions in this one ran high in parts, and boy do I feel for these guys and girls and what they have to go through 😅

How will our lady fair by the end?

Bring on book 4!

The Diamond's Consort releases August 12th 😘🖤

⚔️🤺👑Elle has done it again — go ahead and stamp five stars across this entire beautifully twisted series!⚔️🤺👑 This latest installment was absolutely gripping. Just when you think you're getting answers, Elle masterfully pulls you deeper with even more questions. I live for it. She knows how to hook a reader, and I’m clearly a glutton for the emotional rollercoaster — because now I’m counting the days until the next book drops.

⚔️🤺👑One of the biggest highlights for me was finally getting more Kingston. He’s been waiting so patiently in the wings, carrying so much emotional weight, and it was incredibly satisfying to see more of him unfold. And of course, Landon and Max continue to shine in their own ways — one the quiet comfort, the other the edgy charmer with a heart he only shows for her. Elle’s character work is next-level, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with each of them.⚔️🤺👑

⚔️🤺👑Lastly, the banter and the true friendships (especially with our girl Gia) are so freaking fun! Like I need a Gia in my life or just a small group of girl’s girls who want to just enjoy life.⚔️🤺👑

⚔️🤺👑It was such a beautiful, sexy, fun story and just made me fall in love all over again. It’s an honor to arc read these stories.⚔️🤺👑

⚔️🤺👑Some of my favorite quotes⚔️🤺👑
“No version of me will exist, now or in the future, without the memory of this. Without you.”

“Lady Everly, I’ve been given permission to throw you over my shoulder and carry you, if that’s
what it takes.”
“Oh yeah? On whose orders?”
“Mine.”
“Just like you’ll be tonight.”

Band of misfits.

And the games continue...
Where people fight to win without caring about collateral damage, our Quinn must prepare for new battles and unexpected twists.
Especially now that her heart is on the line—and losing is not an option.

She’s gotten some answers, but they bring more questions than clarity, and more pain than peace. And of course, there are still secrets that can’t come to light—she’ll just have to wait and see.
But she knows now, more than ever, that there's a lot at stake, and she has to fight for what matters. Quinn is not someone who backs down from a fight. She's a woman of action.
Honestly, if it were up to her and her amazing BFF Gia, they’d take down that rotten society with nothing but sarcasm. They're hilarious together!

Elle—you're killing me! For someone who loves spoilers, you're torturing me with all these hints and hidden truths. If I read too fast, I might miss a crucial clue—something that only clicks later. I’d be terrible at playing Clue, but I’d die trying to solve it, just like I am with this series.

A YA reverse harem, multi-POV story. Since it’s on the darker side, I definitely recommend checking the content warnings.
It’s also a slow burn—each book turns up the heat a little more. They say wine gets better with age... in this case, the spice does!

And yes, it ends on another cliffhanger, leaving us wondering "What just happened?" and "Who did it?"
Dying for the next one!

This one while I was super excited for didn’t hit with me the way I was hoping for. The amount of secrets kept and revealed was astounding. Quinn was all up in arms about Kingston keeping secrets from her and Landon keeping secrets from Max and Max with his own secrets but at the end of the day she is ok with the secrets being kept from everyone in the group as long as it’s shared with her. That’s what threw me for a loop.

The miscommunication trope is strong in this one; if she sat down and THOUGHT about it, she would realize that if she sat all 3 of them down and TALKED everything through they would be in a better standing than they are now. Because where they are now is on the brink of failure.

I was also saddened that there were even LESS Max Dread in this book than in the previous one. For someone who wants all three, she definitely rarely includes Max, but gets annoyed or sadden because he’s not sharing his trouble with her. Like hello?

For this to be book 3 in the series, it left me wanting and slightly disappointed. I would've thought it would have picked up and given more than what it did. Also, for someone who started off the series a virgin, the sex in this book was overkill. The way they used it as a vice to avoid discussing issues and coming up with solutions was also concerning.

Now I have to wait months for book 4 😩 whhhhhy lol I need to know what happens next with that cliffy.
