An unbelievable story of passion and fate!
I fell in love with Lea, who is on a boat to an island that her deceased grandmother wanted her to do when she meets Massimo who helps with her seasickness and a whole lot more. What follows is an unexpected tale of the stars aligning as Massimo finally feels alive after the death of his wife and unborn child. Yet he knows his time is limited due to his brother’s betrayal. Lea is stunned to find out the man who helped her is one of the photos on her best friend’s crime board who insists that Lea find out more about him. But what if fate has different plans for Massimo and the young woman who awakens his darkest desires! You have to read to find out and don’t expect to put the book down until you turn the last page!

Lea was left some money by her grandmother with the request that Lea visits an island that her grandmother had fond memories of. A handsome stranger helps her when she is seasick on the ferry and he asks her on a date. Then Lea discovers that Massimo is a mafia don who does not take kindly to her overhearing his conversation. She finds herself on the receiving end of a spanking. Lea is the first woman who Massimo has been attracted to after his wife's death, but he knows that his brother has paid for a hit on him, so the relationship can't go anywhere.

This book has some unexpected twists and turns.

I went into this book with an open mind. I'm trying to read new authors and the ones I've read of late are surprising me in all the best ways.

Lea & Massimo are for each other. Boy meets girl, they play a little (or a lot), he takes her, there's issues, then they fall in love and HEA really. Lea's sassiness mixed Massimo's dominance is a match made in heaven and I like both main characters.

This is written well and there's plot and humour in this one. I enjoyed it and recommend it.

I am hesitant sometime to pick up a new author to read in this genre because more often than not, the have the same outline to them. It was quite refreshing to read a Mafia book that really had a different focus to it. Massimo with an end date to his life, meets Lea a young, rather naive, woman. Throw in a mafia obsessed best friend and an instant attraction and things really heat up. But what happens when that attraction, not by choice, had a end date? A very good romance that has quite a different spin on it.

I tried but...

The book was well written and could have had a great plot. The longer I read the farther down the rabbit hole it went. I don't mind a little well placed spanking. However every other page in this book was spanking her for nothing. I didn't like the fact that he was semi-suicidal going to let himself get shot. I didn't like that he was so rough with her when he knew she was an untouched virgin. I don't like that kind of MMC. It wasn't horrible but it certainly wasn't good. I will give this author one more try but I don't think her writing style is for me.

I laughed, I cried, I loved it…
Lea, a naive young woman from a small town, met Massimo on the boat ride to her resort vacation. His dominance calls to her submissive side and they’re drawn to each other despite their differences. Even though they both know their time is limited they can’t stop the inevitable progression of their relationship. Until suddenly they’re out of time… I received a free copy of this book. I loved this story! This is the first book I've read by this author, and I am very impressed. It captured my attention from the beginning and held it all the way to the end. There was always something happening, nothing was stagnant. The characters didn't go on and on about nonsensical things in their mind and whatever they had to say was pertinent to the storyline. I hope the brothers get their own story. I am voluntarily leaving a review.

this book was fantastic and kept you glued to the book. Massimo is on a island to finalize his stuff for he finds out his brother put a hit man on him and he is the best he thinks he's ready to die for the family. until he meets Lea on the boat to island and invites her to dinner and thinks escalate from there I highly recommend this book

Lovely Read

I really enjoyed this story. Massimo and Lea are phenomenal together. Their journey together is adventurous. I love the island, (name was hard to pronounce). For a while there I wasn't sure how the ending would go, but it was exceptional. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I highly recommend this book.

First time reading this author. I really enjoyed this story, told from both POV. The characters were rich and interesting. I wouldn’t classify this as a “dark” romance or BDSM. It has some violence and some spanking but nothing hard core. The way they fall in love while fighting it, is heartbreaking and beautiful.
