Even though I work at an upscale rehabilitation center in Boston, I am struggling to make ends meet after my flatmate moved out. To make matters worse, I send every extra penny I have to my ailing mother back in England.
I am beginning to feel quite lonely and hopeless.
Enter billionaire Maxwell Banks, the most condescending, demanding, spoiled patient I have ever worked with. When his assistant offers me a million dollars to be his private nurse, I immediately turn him down.
But then he sweetens the deal, and I just can’t say no.
Now I am all alone with Maxwell at Seabanks Manor, his beachfront estate in Maine. As I nurse him back to health, an unexpected tension begins to grow between us.
And it is only a matter of time before one of us makes the first move.
BillionHeir pulled me in from the very first page! Lois Autry has such a natural way of blending heart, tension, and chemistry into every scene. I instantly connected with the characters, the emotional struggles, the sizzling tension, and the slow build-up between Maxwell and the protagonist kept me hooked all the way through.
Lois creates a world that feels real and intimate, and the emotional depth made me care about every decision the characters made. By the time I turned the last page, I wasn’t just reading a romance, I was living it.
A perfect mix of passion, vulnerability, and unexpected twists. Can’t wait to read more from Lois!
Great story between Max and Chloe. His wealth made him a lonely man until one day he wakes up in a hospital bed unable to do the mostly basic things in life. He needs to heel but hates hospitals and it's his way or no way. Until he meets Chloe...
As I was reading this story, I was having a love hate relationship with the arrogant billionaire Maxwell. But as the story unfolds he is just a man who in love with his nurse, but doesn't know how to go forward and he finally gets his act together and finds the happiness they both deserve. I really enjoyed this book and I'll be reading the story.
I'd be really mad if someone invited me to a party, and I went to all the trouble of buying new clothes, doing my hair, and makeup, only to have to stay at the party for 5 minutes because the guy needed to talk to me. Seriously. What was the point of that scene? To say that Max and Liam are super rich and important? Okay, I get it, no need to repeat it a million times.
Why is there no mention by author or anyone else that this is NOT a standalone? Ends in a marriage proposal without FMC answering and no mention of when book 2 will come out! Don't waste your time people.
