This is the 2nd book on Ashy's Deadly Sins series. I won't give away anything in terms of plot because this is a very short read, but I never knew that claustrophobia could still sneak up on me even as I was reading this in a well-lit, well-ventilated, open (albeit small) room. And that ending—are you f*cking kidding me, Ash? *flips table in frustration*
It was a silent but wild ride, and it went towards a direction I wasn't expecting, as things go from bad to worst case scenario for our main character. If you believe in karmic justice, you will find this book a lot of hoot.
I enjoyed it, loved it, and would read it again, even if I broke a table.
She’s hungry, just not for regular food. She needs to restock her freezer. Killer on the loose hunting for meat. Locked in her secret basement with rotting flesh. Trapped with no way out, then irony happens… can you guess what happens?
Gluttony is second in the series of 7 Deadly Sins. Quick read, read in one easy sitting. But I got captivated within the first chapter! Release date 15th June. Preorder now or get it on KU! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ash Ericmore doesn't miss! I loved the premise of this one, and was hooked from the first page! When the main character was on their hunt, when the book opened, I read her as a male, at first, but absolutely loved the fact that she was a female with a unique diet of the macabre variety. This added that element of what it's like to have an absolutely insatiable appetite for something, and how that can leave you to do things that are detrimental to your health, in order to attempt to satisfy that hunger. As always with Ericmore, the gore is top notch, and very mentally visual, and the pop culture references are what I have come to expect, and, love from his writing. I recommend this to anyone who loves a story about a crazy woman driven by a unique craving, and the consequences it leads to. 5⭐
craving for flesh she heads out on the hunt for her next victim or should that be meal? when she comes across her next target she thinks maybe her troubles are over... but they've only just begun!!!
a brilliant read which while a short tale, definitely does not skimp on the blood, guts and the laughs

If this story doesn't drive home, the saying patience is a virtue. I don't know what will. Such a bizarre quick read, this is not for the faint of heart, I found myself getting squeamish at the end of the book!
the ending got me AGAIN. then the whole premise of the story.. cannabilism & claustrophobia.. a DEADLY combination.
this is honestly one of those like exposure therapy books. i didn't think i had claustrophobia,i defintely do😂
i read this and my heart was RACING the entire time. like to the point i was like i need to breathe. my heart is still racing now LOL. it is crazy how scared i got but lowkey it was an exhilarating read shall we say?
the second book of the series and as i expected. gore fest with this one,not disgusting but it made me feel a bit quesy! ash defintely has a knack for being VERY DESCRIPTIVE🥲 im hot & sweaty and i hope i never get stuck in a vent.
no spoilers and all ratings.
characters? 3⭐️ the characters got me good with this one,our main fmc caught me off guard with the talk of the disabled child (that got me in my feels (personal reasons) and if it had gone further i would've had to dnf,but thankfully she didn't go there! but defintely a heavy trigger to be aware of.
plot? 3⭐️ wasn't really much plot to be had in here? just feels more like a retelling than anything! i'm not mad though, for a 50 some page book it did deliver in multiple aspects!
gore? 🩸🩸🩸🩸 far more gore than the last. was really quite nausea inducing at times. but great none the less heheheheh. not splatter level gore, more horror level gore but still i think a good manageable level for this!
overall? 3⭐️ for me on this one! purely because not a lot changed throughout the story, the scenes were very 'still' if that makes sense,we didn't really move anywhere or do anything! but it was a quick lil fun gorey read, not good if you have claustrophobia though💀😂
Exploring the next sin in the Ash Ericmore collection, I was excited to see the creative route he would take. Let's say this story is very much a case of being careful going out alone. Before I found my partner, the dating scene was both depressing and terrifying. Something Ash captures quite well in his second sin story, as we follow the essence of gluttony. That of a deep hunger that not even steak will satisfy as we meet the definition of a man eater. Ash also does a great job at highlighting the changes in society, with how detached from social interaction we have become. Making us all the more vulnerable, easy targets for a predator as we seek our own solace. Even though humans are meant to be social creatures, the pandemic seems to have removed that aspect. Which makes things all the more easier for those looking to prey on those inept at reading social cues or warnings. I also love the mesh of Patrick Bateman meets Miss Lovette vibes. I do have to admit the tinge of jealousy over her set up, I mean it would be great for a food preparation room. Before of course everything goes to shit and minus the cannibalism of course. Either way we get the classic gore and dark humour of Ash which makes the story even better.
Our female lead is a cannibal on the hunt for her next meal.
Ash wasn’t bullshitting when he said they ramp up the pace. This one went pear shaped real quick. Normally when something bad happens in a story like this it’s an easy fix to amend it. This was not the case and I loved the direction he went with this one. Not as extreme as his other reads but still a one sitting read that had me hooked from start to finish! It’s out now on KU
Pros: 💀 Captivating 💀 Ramped up the pace from envy 💀 Flowed brilliantly
Cons: 💀 Not much character development 💀 Shorter read
Time to restock the freezer. But don’t go shopping when you are hungry - you might bite off more than you can chew.
She can hide in plain sight, but her internal monologue exposes how morally repugnant she is. A character you have no qualms in hating and makes the karma so very, very sweet.
Book 2 of The Summer of Sins is intensely claustrophobic and showcases Ericmore’s mastery of the short format. I cannot wait for Book 3!!
The second of the 7 deadly sin series. Right now this is one of my favorites of the series.
Our main character just wants more meat because she is running low and eventually gets someone. Unfortunately something happens and puts her in a situation that she doesn't know how to get out of. This was a great story and I loved how this one ended.
Another great, fast read. I have few words for this book, it’s probably one of the most uncomfortable books I’ve read. Not for the sin itself but my own claustrophobia. I guessed the end but definitely still a fun ride lol

I loved how quirky and original this novella was. Ash Ericmore is a very talented author with a real gift for creating unforgettable stories. I recommend this as well as all of the Deadly Sins books!
