Seven years ago the city of Tarbutton was terrorized by the serial killer known as the PTK, given the name due to the ritualistic nature of the killings. The murders mysteriously ceased and the killer was never apprehended.
Seven years later, new copycat murders committed in Phoenix are left with bizarre crime scenes tied back to the original PTK, which captures the attention of the lead investigator and the killer themselves?

"The universe tells a story, if you listen to it." I began writing in 2019 when all of these ideas from the field flooded into my head. I have penned several short stories and novellas, providing a fringe science fiction commentary on the nature of reality and the human condition with bold, plot-twist endings. Please read and enjoy. I am of Albanian and Native American descent. "Support Native American authors!"

I won a free copy of the eBook in a Goodreads giveaway. This is my honest review.

4/5 for getting and keeping my attention.

This book had its flaws—its grammar issues and awkwardly written sentences—but the story was so great and reeking of promise, I could overlook them. It was still easy to read and understand. I sped through it. With some extra editing, an improved cover, and some marketing, this could really go somewhere.

This book jumps between three different, distinct POVs: a serial killer who was seemingly, miraculously cured of his desire to be violent; a little boy who has an urge to be vicious; and a cop caught in the middle of an old investigation concerning it all. Having the main characters be this way while still managing to make them extremely sympathetic and likeable points to the author's skill in character writing because I didn't hate or even dislike any of them beyond the boy's and the serial killer's mothers. What's with the two evil mothers anyway? Almost makes me wonder if there's some kind of statement meant here about bad mothers turning their sons into serial killers or getting them possessed by some sort of demonic entity, whether it be real or metaphorical.

That cover, though? I understand now why it's a horse, but the tone and vibe don't at all match that of the story. A picture of a padlocked horse stall would be better - or a woman pictured from the back with a ponytail and maybe a bit of blood; if a horse is going to be on the cover, it would be more appropriate to have it be a dead one. That would get the point across.
