In National Park Case Files of the Strange & Mysterious, Volume 2, the Anonymous Ranger returns with a fresh collection of chilling, real-life accounts from the depths of national parks. Responding to feedback from the first volume, all names and locations are fully redacted, intensifying the focus on the raw, unfiltered experiences of those who faced the inexplicable. This installment features tales of shattered game cameras, fleeting glimpses of towering, shadowy figures, and menacing encounters with creatures that defy identification—each narrated by shaken witnesses, from birdwatchers to seasoned outdoorsmen. Set against the backdrop of autumn forests and remote trails, these stories weave a tapestry of unease and wonder, capturing moments where the wilderness reveals its most enigmatic secrets. Volume 2 deepens the series’ exploration of the unknown, inviting readers to question what truly roams the wild with a blend of authenticity and haunting ambiguity.
I didn’t want to read statistical reports. They’re very boring. Unfortunately, this book didn’t hold my interest. Definitely not what I was looking for.
This is not just a UFO book, most of the encounters are with cryptids. Great format and great stories. A number of these were intense and could’ve ended badly. Several scary attacks. Deep in the woods isn’t as safe as many think it is. Hope more encounters are published, this is a great series.
