Chapter 1: my daughter is safe with my mom. Chapter 2: my daughter is suddenly with me in the mall. Such a huge timeline gap, I’m not sure I’ll keep reading. I finished it. This book has the potential to be something but it’s half written. All this little bits of information. All of the sudden the MMF knows her friend’s background but that never came out in the story. Rushed and not explained. Could use a complete rewrite and extended.

Tina has no idea why her fingers tingle when her hand brushes Ezra's hand, or Hunt's hand. But when her friend Cynthia has to flee from the Justice Council and Tina goes with her, Tina is glad for the extra security Hunt brings. Then she finds out why her fingers were tingling.

Lydia did an excellent job of writing a book that was not only full of action and suspense but also danger. She ensured we have all the supernaturals vampires, werewolves, warlocks, and she even gave us a cat. (An addition I personally adored as I am a cat lover.)
I can hardly wait to read the next instalment of this series and to find out what happens next. I am on the edge of my seat waiting. And that cliffhanger, oh boy, it wasn't that bad but it was bad enough.
If you enjoy why choose, the paranormal, vampires, werewolves, warlocks, and everything in between then Red's Wolves is a great book for you to pick up. I am sure you'll enjoy it just as much as I did.

Red's Wolves (Book 1) . . .
Tina woke in a bed that wasn't hers. Fortunately her daughter Sasha was being cared for by her mother while she went to work. But where is Tina now and how did she get here? Her mind went back to her mother's warnings of witches, vampires, and werewolves, but she never believed any of it. So what got her here? Was she in an accident? She inspected a dresser in the room and found packages of new undies and t-shirts. And she heard the sound of voices downstairs but couldn't understand what they were saying. She began to remember things, like the blond woman who told her someone wanted her dead and the FBI took her to a safe house which looked more like a mansion and belonged to the blond's boyfriend. If her mom was right, this may not be the FBI but rather a bunch of supernatural "bad guys". But then why haven't they killed her yet?
She made her way quietly to the dining room and saw a man drink a glass of dark red liquid her nose identified as blood! A vampire! The blond, who she now remembered was Cynthia, asked if she was hungry, but the hunger disappeared when she saw the man drink the blood. Then he told her it was red wine and she relaxed but moments later questioned why he would even try to clarify that fact! How had he messed with her thoughts like that? Then Cynthia told her that the bad guys thought she was dead, so the FBI team would set a trap to capture them when they realized she was alive and came after her again. Her foggy memories cleared up a bit more and she knew the man was a vampire and had fogged up her mind. She recalled 4 men lived here... vampires. She remembered Cynthia telling them she was a friend and not "food". Everyone had thought she killed her daughter, but Sasha was safe with Tina's mom. Is this why her mom kept making them move elsewhere every few months? So Tina was convinced and agreed to help set up a trap for the hitmen. Would this work? Or was the whole thing fake? Is Tina also a supernatural being? And who can she trust?

I read this as an ARC. This has Spoilers, read at your own risk.
The story was pretty good, but at times I was confused because a new character would be added, but no information given, which was confusing. A good editor should be able to help with the grammatical mistakes as well.
The characters are likable for the most part, although many are just names and not enough character development for them. Some characters need to be flashed out and more information given. The FMC is likeable and I definitely feel for her as the story unfolds. The love interests are exactly what they need to be to keep me wanting to learn more about them.
The plot was pretty good, since it kept me reading even with the confusion over characters and grammatical errors. I enjoyed the way the three MMCs came together even though it was hard for them. The revelation at the end was a good cliffhanger to leave us on. I have so many questions that will hopefully be answered as the story goes on.
Overall, I enjoyed the book, and hope the characters all find each other and get their HEA at some point.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were great, the storyline kept me interested, and I loved the world building. I especially enjoyed the friendships and the connections between the characters and the love interests. They felt meaningful and were one of the strongest parts of the story.
However, there were some parts that took me out of the story. A few timeline details didn't quite match up, and some scenes felt like they needed more explanation. For example, there were moments where the situation with the main character's daughter seemed to change suddenly without enough transition. I think the story could have benefited from a little more editing, rewriting, and expanding in certain areas.
Even with those issues, I still really enjoyed the book. The characters and the overall story had me invested, and I would definitely continue the series. It just wasn't quite a 5-star read for me because of the inconsistencies.

I’m always drawn to stories where the main character has no clue there’s a paranormal world hiding in plain sight. I especially love that moment when the males instantly recognize their mate and feel that instant connection and awareness.
The story is fast paced and a quick read. I do wish the ex-boyfriend\father of her daughter plot wasn't resolved so quickly. I feel like there's a missed opportunity there.

DNF 14% it was very choppy one sec she doesn’t believe in vampires etc then the next she seems fine with believing it. Then she’s on a hit list, gets attacked and next she’s shopping with her child for a high chair! Then she’s sitting outside on a bench with her and her daughter by themselves! WTH 🤦♀️ like aren’t you suppose to be on some hit list? Why are you off shopping and doing stuff by yourself? It’s like the author forgot that she’s suppose to be in danger within 3 chapters!, sorry but I couldn’t carry on, this needs to be re-written.

Tina, the titular Red, is the core of the story. The plot introduces us to her four mates in a way that provides decent character development. There is a cast of other characters who help define the world in which this series exists. The pace is a little hectic with a lot of time running from one danger to another. It ends with a cliffhanger which led to my 4 star rating. Hopefully, the next book is more satisfying when it ends.

I liked how this was marketed, a Red Riding Hood reimagined as a reverse harem. I knew it was going to be spicy, which it was, but did not expected the plot to be interesting and attention grabbing.

This story was action packed and rather steamy. It had me reading all the way until the end, then we're hit with a cliffhanger. I'm eagerly waiting for the next book.

This book needs a lot of work. It has the potential to be amazing but it’s confusing, poorly edited, jumps around too much, and is surface level at best.

I certainly enjoyed “Red’sWolves Book 1”. What I DIDN’T enjoy was the cliffhanger at the end. I’m not going to buy a book to see what happens!
