Inconclusive ending but characters vividly portrayed. Could have done with sketches/illustrations of special/tank weapons used on D-Day.

I liked the author's writing style and the story was interesting, however it was almost like a magic last page number was attained and a hurried anticlimactic short ending was inserted and off to the publisher the book went.

A page turner and a load of history I never knew till now. Read it.
