In a world where passion and danger collide, Kaylona, a struggling singer, finds herself entangled in a high-stakes debt she never anticipated. To escape her stressed reality, she reluctantly agrees to step into a once-in-a-lifetime role for Kymeco Crown. As she navigates the dangerous underbelly of his gritty world, Kaylona has to decide if power or survival will overshadow her feelings. Will she be able to keep her heart intact, or will Kymeco prove to be her greatest downfall?
First off, this story was wild! The book starts with Kaylona getting dropped from what was Saban’s label and learning that she is in a world of trouble, either gambling or other mess online. When she met the hero, Meco, I was confused about how this would work. In the first encounter, she’s begging for a gig at his club, and in the second, she owes him a crazy debt. All while she is lusting after him, too?! Meco isn’t innocent either, as he is in a relationship with Desirae, whose family is the Ops! Like what is happening!? Now, things turn when Meco gives Kaylona an ultimatum she can’t refuse, and Desirae loses touch with what she truly wants. The journey to the HEA became apparent at about 40%. Still, I didn’t see it playing out that way because Charae wrote Desirae in such a way that you wanted this amazing situation to happen for her, but oh, when the layers peeled back. You realized how conniving and manipulative she indeed was. It made it clear she wasn’t the heroine at all. Kaylona was the true heroine. The subplot of the issues between Lo/Meco/Ada was also unraveling, with us understanding the situation better but no resolution for Lo. The epilogue excites me for Lo’s book as it’s an arranged marriage, and I can’t wait to see who can handle Lo’s wild self! It was great seeing Tori and Devyn; Devyn is still leading the fam, and Tori stays on Ada’s head, lol. It's my fave of the series so far! I can’t wait for book 3!!
This was a draggggg, like I’m sorry I hated the FMC and the MMC. They both lacked maturity and constantly made themselves the victims in everything. Kaylona was filled with drama and hostility cus she was an orphan. Instead of having some sense all she did was crash out and carry on while constantly complaining about the state of her life and career. By the end she learns to STFU and work but we didn’t see a lot of work to get to that point. Like we should’ve definitely spent more time with her growing and trying new things getting into therapy or something. Meco was a “neutral” party who chose to be in the middle and cry about how his mama never seen him but he ain’t speak up til dang near the end of the book. I didn’t feel bad for him cus at some point you need to choose a side or stay out of everything completely. He straddled the fence never addressed anything cus his upbringing but was always crying to us. Sorry the romance lacked, the two main characters were both chaotic and conflicted. Overall it was just a lot of nothing worthwhile going on so the conclusions just felt really simple and quite boring to me. Like you beefing with ya twin cus the distance but yall in the same space together all the time yet you won’t come out and say how you feel or why you got an issue MAAAAAN PLEASE.
10/10 would recommend! One things for certain, Charae is going to pen a unique storyline that will have you trying to guess every single thing- only to end up wrong in the end. I’ve accepted that her pen works in ways that I could never understand but every single release I’m in full crash out mode behind her characters. That speaks volumes. Forever His Savior had me on pins and needles for majority of the story because I couldn’t fathom how the story would end up in a HEA scenario. Meco and Desiree’s relationship was a secret, it was deadly, and never should have happened- but i understand the heart wants what it wants. But by the end, I questioned if that was the case or was it just a thrill because of the fact that they were never supposed to be?! And then tie in a surrogate mother, who is ready to get her career back on track and things are taken up a notch. Read this book! The final 25% of the book had me so stressed out!! Another banger!
I know I didn't just read this. The author can hide a gem in the middle of mess and make the storyline sparkle. Most of the characters kept me looking at them crazy, including the Mmc, and the Fmc, but keep reading.
This book had my attention from beginning to end. Desire wasn't the right person for Meco. She was ok with wanting this or that but wasn't willing to be honest with her family about her relationship and preferred to have a secret life. Meeting Kaylona would end up changing the dynamic of Meco and Desire. Kaylona was the better person for Meco. I loved how they had an attraction for each other but never crossed the line until they felt it was right. And through all the drama, they grew even closer while waiting on their bundle of joy. I'm glad Meco found love with Kaylona. They were definitely each other's saviors.
i admit reading Forever His Favorite, i didn’t know much about Meco, but he won me over in his book. he stood on BIG BUSINESS with himself but he was so loyal! i loved that he loved how imperfect Kaylona was. and LO!!!! i can’t WAIT to dive into his story!!
For me to love a FMC and MMC and see no wrong in them is hard to come by. I absolutely LOVED Kaylona and Meco.
Kaylona was blunt, funny, and fierce. Meco was confident, calculated, and authentic. Them together *chefs kiss* 👨🏾🍳💋.
Omg I’m always down for an Ada and Tori banter 😂😂. They have me weak every time.
From the beginning, I was interested . This was so action-packed with drama. Indeed, a page-turner that kept you wanting more.
This was better than the first book, and I have a feeling it’s going to be better in the finale. The anticipation has my adrenaline running. Charae, I ain’t rushing for part three, but hurry up lol. This was so good 10/10.
I agreed with Meco that Kaylona should of fired her manager and PR person. Desirae was totally wrong for that lie she told, but then again her Darren put her up on a pedestal knowing she didn't belong. Crown 👑 men came out on top again. I can't wait for Lo's story he has a lot to say and I'm ready for it!!!!
Yeah this is definitely a must read. Definitely love Meco attitude. Kaylona didn’t short stop either. I was hoping for a piano girl and Kaylona link up. Lo is still my favorite
So first, we have Meco and Desirae in this forbidden relationship that was basically doomed from the jump. Their fathers hate each other with a passion, so this whole “Romeo and Juliet” situation was always walking on thin ice. I wanted to root for them, I really did – but Desirae? Whew, sis… She’s a grown woman out here scared to tell her daddy about the man she loves? That didn’t sit right with me. Like girl, stand up! The way she tried so hard to impress a man who clearly has no problem turning his kids against each other? Diabolical.
And THEN for Desirae to think that having a baby would somehow magically fix the whole betrayal and family war situation? I had to pause and look around like, “Did I read that right?” Because that idea was CRAZY. It was giving desperate, and it made me realize this relationship was on borrowed time. The more I watched Desirae fumble, the more I knew: this was not the endgame.
Now enter Kaylona. She’s not related to any of these folks but somehow still finds herself right in the middle of all this chaos. Kaylona has her own mess – she’s a singer who just got dropped from her label, dragged through online drama, and on top of all that? She owes Meco a major debt. YIKES.
From the second these two were in the same room, I knew Desirae was done for. Meco and Kaylona’s chemistry? Unmatched. It was subtle at first, just a spark here and there, but you could feel it brewing. And then BAM — that slow burn came for me in the best way. Watching Meco’s relationship with Desirae crumble while he and Kaylona circled each other like two people trying NOT to fall in love (and failing)? Whew, I lived for it!
Kaylona held her own, too. She wasn’t just some damsel trying to get her life together — she was fiery, funny, and didn’t let Meco’s brooding ways scare her off. Their banter? Top tier. Their tension? Chef’s kiss. And when they finally let that wall down? BEAUTIFUL. Their journey from reluctant allies to something real and tender was everything I didn’t know I needed.
This book didn’t just give us romance, it gave us family baggage with a side of heartbreak. Meco and Lo’s breakdown? Had me holding my chest. Seeing Meco feel like Lo replaced him with their cousin Durand hurt. And Lo? He was just trying to make the best of the situation, but it was messy all around. You could feel the love between them, but also all that unspoken pain.
And then we gotta talk about Ada — Meco’s mom. Why does she treat him like he’s the black sheep while Devin and Lo can do no wrong? Lo’s not even speaking to her and she STILL gives him more grace than Meco. That hit me hard. Meco deserves so much more than the cold shoulder and second-hand love she gives him. Thankfully, Auntie Maddy was there to hold it down! Everybody needs an Auntie Maddy — wise, loving, and no-nonsense. She saw Meco for who he really was and gave him the kind of love his own mama couldn’t.
Forever Her Savior is a whirlwind of forbidden love, heartbreak, and healing. Watching Meco and Kaylona find each other in the middle of all that mess was beautiful, and even when the drama had me side-eyeing folks (cough Desirae), I was fully locked in. If you love a romance that’s messy in the best way, with a slow burn that leaves you breathless, this one’s for you. The family drama adds so much depth, and you’ll come out the other side feeling something real.
Pick this up and get ready to laugh, cry, and fall in love right along with Meco and Kaylona. You won’t regret it!
Book: Forever Her Savior Author: Charae Lewis Genre: Romance Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🥵🥵🥵
Charae Lewis has me out here being a whole hussy behind these Crown men😫 I was already in love with Devyn, and then here comes Meco shooting his way into the top spot! I live for Kaylona, but she is definitely sharing this man. This book has the perfect flow and pace. We learn so much about the main characters while experiencing their trials and troubles. Kaylona has had it rough. Yes, some things were of her own making, but I felt for baby girl. She makes a serious decision that alters her life, and she sees it through even after being triggered. Her personality is perfect for Meco because he balances her out, and she definitely needs that. I just love her down! Meco Meco Meco! There is so much to say about this man while not being able to form complete sentences 😆 he is just everything. He’s calculated, intentional, abrasive, dominant, sexy, and loyal. Wheeew the way his mental is tested while bullets are flying is next level. He starts this book believing his life will unfold one way and by the end, it is completely different and he accepts that and moves accordingly. I had to speak on Kaylona and Meco separately before addressing their explosive connection because babbbbby they gave me good times😝 from their first encounter, which was completely innocent, you could feel the fire. Now let me speak on this storyline because Ms. Lewis deserves every flower. I did not see Meco moving like this. Yeah, Miss Ma'am did her big one with this book. All of the characters were well-crafted and great for the story. I neeeeed Lo’s book because I need answers! I have my suspicions but my mind also does the most sometimes. However the suspense of how he fell out with his family needs to finally be addressed and hopefully, he can finally find some peace!
Listen… fellow book lovers, let me tell y’all—I was HOOKED from page one! Meco? That man is a savage with a soft spot, and that’s exactly my type in fiction and in life, okay?! Desire had me ready to jump through the pages. She knew she was dead wrong!
I gotta respect Kay for holding it down. Sis waited ‘til Meco was actually single—grown woman energy only. And the fact that he still made sure his baby was good, even through all the chaos? Yeah, he earned his points.
But when that man opened up to Kaylona?! Babyyyy I was soft-screaming into my Kindle! That gentle savage energy? Unmatched. They healed, hit some real milestones, and gave us love that was messy, passionate, and everything in between.
Oh—and let me be clear: Meco is officially on the Book Bae list. No debate.
This one had me locked in—no skips, no breaks, just vibes. If you love a lil’ toxic, a lotta heart, and a man that’s crazy in the head but soft for one woman, this one’s for you. 10/10, add to your TBR right now. Don’t play with it.
A forbidden love… that was what Meco & Desirae had. Their families didn’t mesh well & they were never supposed to be but the heart wants what the heart wants. Meco agrees to embark on a journey w/Desirae despite being 100% comfortable with it. When push came to shove & Desirae was supposed to choose Meco & didn’t… everything changed— “Desirae had lost what good sense she had left.”-AND DID LOL! Meco wanted someone to choose him and not walk away. Kaylona, was a hothead that ended up biting off more than she could chew which led to her encounter with Meco & then Desirae. What she was willing to do for them, selfless despite her needing the financial gain to redeem her career. Meco & Kaylona wasn’t supposed to be however, she chose him & he chose her…. it was truly written.
I was immediately drawn into this story. Once I started I couldn’t stop. The story line was like no other. I never expected the turnout but I loved how it ended. Ada’s birthday entrance had me weak. Ada is still that girl, the banter between her and Tori is still top tier. I couldn’t stand Desirae, not she was definitely weak. Meco was in love but she was NOT the one. Loved me some Kaylona, a firecracker but her situation changed her. The character development for Meco and Kaylona was bomb. Crazy situations can sometimes birth a beautiful love story. I’m anxiously awaiting Lo’s story.
This book had me hooked from the jump. Meco was enticed by Desirae to start a family. But when Kaylona stepped on the scene? Everything changed. What started as a deal to make a baby turned into somethin’ real.
This story has twists, real street energy, and deep mob ties that remind you—some beefs just don’t die easy. Meco stepped up in a way most dudes wouldn’t, especially when the one who was supposed to ride for him flipped the script.
It’s messy, it’s emotional, and it’s real. If you like urban stories with heart, drama, and a lil’ danger on the side, this one’s fire. Ain’t your average love story—this one got teeth.
Absolutely loved it! This was such a great addition to the series. I really enjoyed getting a deeper look into the brothers and their dynamic, as well as the family as a whole. The FMC was so relatable and refreshing—it was easy to connect with her. I appreciated how the story stayed unpredictable yet made perfect sense, leaving me genuinely happy for all the characters by the end. I also loved seeing the MMC in a new light as the story progressed. And the slow burn romance? Perfection!
This author knows how to keep her readers on their toes. She delivered again giving us a story full of twists and turns. I didn't know how Meco's story was going to be but ooooh weeeee what a story. Kaylona definitely deserved a win and her redemptive story worked for me. Glad to see Tori and Ada are still at it. They are hilarious. Can't wait for Lo's story!!!
Ain't gonna lie can't wait for Lo. But being a child or grown adult, being dismiss and misunderstood by a parent. Going into this and Desire not proposing marriage but a baby was crazy to me anyway. The pressure and then just to cast her away. U can only live ur life for u and the family u creat. Definitely need to see some musical creations with these wives.
I thought I give it some time after Devyn’s and Tori’s story to read about the twins but I was sooo mistaken and surprised. I even took my time reading it so I wouldn’t be bored but MS. Lewis made it in a way that we didn’t get too much of Devyn’s a little bit of Lo but this was truly Marco’s time and what a time it was. So that’s 2-2 and I am diving right into Lo’s story and hopefully understand what’s up with the parents… Definitely a 💯⭐️
Holding someone to a higher regard or staying in a relationship to make sure they are miserable is self loathing. Holding on to past traumas can stint your life from receiving blessings meant to provide unconditional love and support.
Lewis journey on self love and boundaries is a view in mirrors of many.
I love me some Charae since Keece and Paris. This was good. I wished Desirae had not gotten that bitter. Like serious. How much time do you need. It was best to let it go, because you wasn’t choosing him. That man said you not bout to sneak me around like I’m not thag nigga hahaha
4/5 — I enjoyed this one better than the first book. Kymeco and Kaylona was a good time. The chemistry between these two upon first encounter, I knew I was in for a treat. — Desirae, I don’t even know how he dealt with her as long as he did. — it’s always a pleasure to witness Ada and Tori’s banter lol
This story had me invested from the very beginning. Just like Lo and Kayloni, I also had reservations about Desirae, but I never thought that she would go to the lengths and lie like she did. Meco and Kayloni were actually good for each other and I’m glad that they got together. I can’t wait to read Lo’s story.
I loved this story! Charae Lewis is one of my favorite authors. Her characters are always relatable, and she always delivers with a good storyline and some drama. Definitely a great read! I can't wait until Lo's story!
Another great addition to the Mob Love series. Meco and his mean niceness was a mystery I wanted to solve. But Lo, I can’t wait for his book. Kay Baby was funny while crashing out and funny while falling in love.
Every book by this author is a W. I lowkey didn’t want Meco and K story to end. It’s like I wanted more of their life to keep going. Another baby and everything else lol. But seriously 10000 out of 10!
Baby Desirae, Desirae she was one for the books. She got exactly what she deserved and her father too. This book is definitely a 4 star read . I'm telling you , you will not be disappointed.
I enjoyed this book so much!! Kaylona was such a great character. Her personal development was so raw and transparent. I love how her and Meco communicated. The honesty was everything and truly helped them bond amidst all the drama. One of my fave reads so far this year
This book was definitely good. It was good to see Meco find Kaylona because Desire definitely wasn’t it. When the right person is for you, they are for you! I’m definitely ready for Lo story. Grab this book, you won’t be disappointed❤️.
This was some craziness, but a good read. Desirae was crazy, Meco did not play, and Kaylona deserved happiness. I can’t begin to imagine what happens in Lo’s book but I am ready! Ada and Tori were hilarious!
