I enjoy learning about and studying bats. This book is full of interesting, useful, and often poorly understood facts about bats in the world. It is a great read for educational purposes, but it is also fun to learn fact and dismiss myths and superstitious beliefs about these flying mammals. Although this small books appears to be written only for children, it was a good refresher for me. I have graduate degrees in Zoology, and have taught that subject at university level. I recommend this volume to anyone who wants to learn about what bats are and how they fit in our world.

Full of good information and pictures. Has some pages where the light can shine through and show the bones. Good for 3rd graders and up.
