Rate this book
A heartwarming and exhilarating story about a widow offered a second chance on love…if he can overcome the objections of his friends and family.

When Graham Peters’s wife of forty years suddenly dies, he finds himself unable to cope with her absence. He shuts everyone out and tries to keep his memories of love forever intact by going through the motions of a daily routine.

But when a friend convinces him to enjoy an evening at a jazz club, he meets and falls for Rita Long, a beautiful, sultry singer who draws the eyes and ears of everyone around her. Soon, Graham is wondering whether there might be life after death, and if he can allow himself to love another woman while still dealing with loss. But Rita brings her own baggage in the form of an a has-been NBA star who is exploiting her for money. And when one of Graham’s friends grows jealous of his new love, things turn nasty and potentially violent.

Graham and Rita struggle to keep their relationship alive, while everyone around them wants it to fail. They must give each other all that they have as they fight to survive in this story of passion, betrayal, destruction, and redemption.

Forty years of happiness with the love of your life when unfortunately time expires, leaving one to have to go on without the other. For Graham Peters there simply is no way he can live without his heart Amanda. This is why Graham attempts to rid himself of life. Charlie, Graham's best friend, tries to help his friend through his bereavement. Graham finds himself at the Watering Hole, not one of his regular hangouts, at the suggestion of Charlie. He's trying to rid himself of the misery that has overtaken his life. Enter Rita Long, a jazz singer, who is just what the doctor has ordered for Graham's recovery.

Sadly enough, the people in their lives aren't receptive to this up-and-coming union and are willing to do any and everything to put a halt to it. With so much against them, will Graham and Rita make it?

Suzetta Perkins has done an excellent job! `A Love So Deep' is an intriguing read that is filled with real emotions from start to finish. I was able to relate to this book as I experienced such a loss. I would recommend it to those who've suffered the loss of a soul mate. `A Love So Deep' details lost, love, secrets and jealousy. Great read!
