This is Book Three of the Cruel Empire Trilogy. The author has continued the heart pounding story of a relationship between Lissia and Marchello. The story keeps us turning the pages with danger, action, revelations and steam.

DANGEROUS INTENT is the third instalment in Ella Jade’s contemporary, adult CRUEL EMPIRE dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. Oh My Goodness!!! I thought I would be happier at the end of this book, but I am just as confused as ever. Don’t get me wrong I still loved the story. I just wish there was a little bit more.
With Lissia’s father dead Lissia and Marchello should be out of danger...right? WRONG!!! Danny won’t let her go so easily and neither will the mystery man Gian sold her to hours before his untimely death.
I enjoyed how Marchello and Lissia compliment each other. Marchello loves Lissia flaws and all, even if there are moments where Lissia goes too far and he just wants to strangle her. I mean who doesn’t feel that way about their significant other from time to time, I mean I do , but I still love my husband LOL.
Lissia loves Marchello's brooding, dark side and embraces it, she likes to push him too far sometimes, but it’s a good thing she’s grown enough to learn when she should and shouldn’t push him...most of the time. It’s a learning curve. Throughout these first three books Lissia has brought out Marchello’s softer side, she has also realized that although she can bring out his softer side she is also the reason he shows his dark side so much.
Lissa has grown up so much in such a short amount of time, she started out as a spoiled, entitled, bratty Mafia Princess. Throughout the first three books she has matured (to an extent). She is no longer unaware of the world she was born into. She may still spend an enormous amount of money, but now she also wants to be a better person for Marchello and his family. What better way than to donate the $3 Million dollars to a charity that was near and dear to Marchello’s mother before her death in order to help women in need, and what better way to get back at her father for what he did to her in the process ;)
Book 3 ends with some crazy things happening, if you made it this far I don’t think I need to say this, but I will. If you have any issues with abuse, Non-Consensual Sex, Murder, and Violence in any form be careful.
Get ready to be a defiant hostage and enjoy the first three books. Thank you Ella. I can't wait to read Milo’s story.

It was practically set in stone that the final installment of this trilogy would explode in a high-stakes climax. And while it certainly delivered on action, that conclusion turned out to be only half the story—literally. Instead of a grand finale, we’re left with an open-ended setup for yet another book. So, not just a trilogy after all! By the midway point, I found myself growing a little weary of the constant friction between Lissia and Marchello. Their dynamic was fiery and often antagonistic—except, of course, when they were tangled up in the sheets. You’d think by now Lissia would have learned a thing or two about the brutal world she’s entangled in, yet she continues to poke the proverbial bear (aka Marchello) at every turn. Despite getting shot, sold to a mysterious stranger, or even staring down Collins’s explicit threats, she refuses to back down, even when her impulsive choices put everyone, including herself, in danger. No wonder Marchello was about ready to rip his hair out. That said, his approach to "handling" Lissia didn’t exactly encourage compliance. Like so many mafia men before him, Marchello’s obsession with control—keeping her in the dark about his business, deciding what’s best for her—only make Lissia want to push back. It wasn’t until the latter half of the book that I finally saw some much-needed character growth—was it possible these two were actually finding some middle ground? But with enemies lurking around every corner, keeping Lissia safe while holding on to his empire was never going to be easy. The open ending and sudden arrival of yet another looming threat left me a bit frustrated, but I have to admit, my curiosity about Marchello’s brother, Milo, will definitely have me reaching for the next book.

Dangerous Intent is the third book in Jade's Cruel Empire, an age gap, enemies to lovers, forced proximity mafia romance series. This story picks up where the first book ends. Please note, this series should be read in order.
At the end of the second book, Gian Gallanti is taken out. Readers knew it was coming so it wasn't a big surprise. Who took action however was somewhat unexpected. This book picks up with his funeral and poor Lissia going through the motions but not really letting herself feel it yet. When Nico Accetti shows up to pay his respects, she is pleased to see him home, until she learns the truth. After Nico relays all that he learned she is dismayed to learn the truth about her father.
While still reeling from the news, and mourning over her loss, Lissia is basically forced to make a choice - marry Marchello Accetti, or walk away and take her chances. It isn't really a choice and the two are promptly wed.
Marchello believes the act of making Lissia Gallanti his new bride will offer her some protection, but his memories of his mother's tragic passing continue to haunt him. He fears he will lose her the same way.
Of course getting married doesn't stop those who want to take her down. In addition to dealing with Collins, there are some new foes who step out from the shadows. It seems like Marchello and Lissia will never have a moment of peace.
I really thought this third book was going to conclude this captivating series, but Jade once again left me hanging. It seems a fourth book, Scarred Heir, is coming and will focus on Milo and his potential love interest while our lovebirds go underground. I still have so many questions and now I wonder whether the next book will answer them, or tease me once again. Either way, I'm keen to delve further into this series and I eagerly await the next release!

She has no clue why it happened but also thinks the worst is over. She believes with her father dead, her and Marchello can finally go on with their lives.
Marchello isn’t naive. He knows now more than ever he must protect Lissia. As his woman, she now has a bigger target on her back. Unfortunately, an old enemy resurfaces and is making threats. While he is trying to handle that problem, danger is just around the corner. A new rival comes for the family. Marcello not only has to protect Lissia but also keep enemies from claiming his territory. He will do anything it takes. She knows her impulsive behavior always gets her into trouble. She is finally trying to be the woman he needs by his side. Marcello will never let go of his territory, but he is so determined to keep her safe. How will he accomplish that? Will he have to choose?

Their push-and-pull dynamic is exhausting at times, but by the second half of the book, there are glimpses of real growth as the two begin to find some middle ground.
The action is dark, gritty, and full of twists: betrayal, debts, revenge, and shifting power dynamics in the aftermath of Gian Gallanti’s death. Supporting characters like Milo, Dom, Lorenzo, and Don Nico add depth, and the story makes it clear that danger lurks around every corner. This is the third installment of Lissia and Marchello’s story.
Lissia’s father is gone and she is conflicted about everything.
Marchello is watching and waiting for her to fall apart so she decides she must be strong.
Easier said than done with an arms dealer gunning for her, an unknown associate of her father seeking ownership of her and her own anxieties at an all time high. She’s at her breaking point and still she seeks to ensure Marchello is at peace and their family is safe.
Marchello knows they are on the brink of war and his family legacy is at stake. Most of all, he knows he must protect Lissia no matter what.
With his father still dealing with cartel threats and others plotting against his family and position, Marchello knows it’s only a matter of time before things implode.
This book resolves some of the issues presented in the previous ones, but not all. Milo’s story is next and picks up where this one ends.
Enjoyed this one and looking forward to the next installment. I really hope the father returns. There was a cameo of him in this book and I hope we get his story!

Enjoyed this one and looking forward to the next installment. I really hope the father returns. There was a cameo of him in this book and I hope we get his story!

This was great! I normally don't do multi books for one couple but I couldn't resist this one and it was so worth it! The writing is great and the plot kept my attention and drew me in. I love these characters and the main couple are so wonderful together. They have had something building and it was so great to watch their whole romance.

Dangerous Intent follows the story of Marchello and Lissia. Dangerous Intent is amazingly written, exceptionally balanced with action/romance and beautifully executed by Ella Jade. She continues to showcase what a phenomenal author she is with each book I’ve read by her so far. The characters are fabulously written and beautifully executed throughout the story. The chemistry between Lissia and Marchello is off the charts hot and undeniably irresistible. This book is quite suspenseful and a page turning dark mafia romance. I absolutely enjoyed getting to know Lissia and Marchello as well as witnessing the feelings that begin to develop between them grows stronger as their story progressed. This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading and did NOT want to set it down until I read the last page. I would absolutely give this book as a recommendation to anyone who is looking for a new dark mafia romance to read.

Best way to describe Marchello and Lissia’s relationship is constant chaos, steamy in the bedroom, and trying to keep her in line at all times. Marchello puts up with so much from Lissia that causes him issues with his business. They fight like crazy and make up very steamy. Just when you think one threat has been eliminated, another one has popped up and is coming after them (well actually Lissia). They continue to fight to make things work to get their happy ending. The twists and turns in this book are so well put together. You dont’t want to put the book down or for it to end.
The ending still has some questions left unanswered for the couple and I am sure we will see them in the next series for Milo and his love interest. Nico, Milo and Marchello’s dad, is still away so he will probably return in the next set of books somewhere as well.
Can’t wait to see what happens next with this family! Really enjoy this author! Will be continuing on this journey with the next book.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. We are back with Lissia and Marchello. Lissia’s father has passed and the person who did it is closer to her than she thinks. Unfortunately, before Lissia’s father passed, he set something into motion that would continue to put Lissia’s life in danger. Because Marchello did not know about this plan, he tied Lissia’s to the Accetti family permanently. Thinking that his name could keep her safe. Nothing could keep Lissia safe from what her father had set in motion. Money changed hands. The deal has been done. The only way Marchello can keep Lissia safe is to take down yet another threat. This series has me in a chokehold. I have grown to like Lissia a little more. She is still impulsive, but I see a willingness to learn. I can’t even begin to say how much I loved and hated this book ! I loved the characters, the banter between Lissia and Marchello, their steamy interludes. Those things were all fantastic! What I loathed about it was the human trafficking part of the storyline, and how it has real world implications. That there are real women, children and I’m sure even men who are thought of as nothing but “things” to be bought, sold and used any way their purchasers wish. This is definitely a dark mafia read, so please be aware of any triggers you might have for attempted rape , human trafficking and murder. Ella Jade writes with such passion regarding all of the subject matter, it makes me wonder if she’s a mafia princess in hiding. 5✨’s . And I can’t wait for book 4 to come out !.

Marchello Accetti is attending Gian Gallanti’s funeral. He is worried about Lissia since she chose to be with Marchello and defied her father. He tells her the Accetti family took responsibility for Gian being killed. I love this book and in fact, the whole series. What a terrific author Ella is. I’ve read everything she’s written and I love her books even more now. This is the third book in this author’s Cruel Empire and it’s terrific. The story stars Lissia and Marchello. They are currently attending Gian’s - Lissia’s father’s funeral. Lissia defied her family so she could be with Marchello. Marchello’s father shows up after the funeral and traps Lissia into a conversation about her father’s death. He tells her about her father’s death and who’se responsible. The story keeps you turning pages and is over too soon. Trust me, you want to start at the first book in this series and you won’t be able to put it down.

OMG!!! This series and this book was fan-freaking-tastic!!! I have been in love with Marchello and Lissia from Ruthless Oath. This book is a dark mafia romance filled with drama, suspense, mystery, action, more drama, and smoking hot spice. This book's storyline was original and page-turning. I thought the flow of the story was well paced and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout this whole series. I am sad that Lissia and Marchello's story has ended, but I am going to be rereading this series over and over again.
This is the third book in the series and needs to be read in order to understand the ongoing conflict and backstory of the main characters. I am so excited to see what comes next in this series!!!.

I think this book is my favorite out of the three Marchello and Lissia books. There is a ton of action, confusion, heartache. Lissia and Marchello’s love story has deepened at this point, and there is nothing he won’t do to protect her. Lissia has been put through the ringer, but she stays strong throughout the entire story. She has created so much chaos in Marchello’s life, and she continues to do so in this book. With Gian selling his daughter, not only do they have to worry about the arms dealer, but they also have to worry about the man who paid all of that money to have her, knowing he wouldn’t get her. I wish there was a little more to their story, where they get to actually be a married couple while they’re away, but these stories had me pining for more, and I couldn’t put them down!

Book three in this series was as amazing as the first two. Marchello and Lissia continue to grow as a couple. Their weaknesses and strengths are very complimentary and I love how her sassy tongue challenges every fiber of Marchello's patience. I will not give it away, but I did not see the situation with Danny playing out quite the way it did, but I was happy with how it went down.
I am looking forward to reading book 4. I hope that it ties in, and gives glimpses of what the future holds for Marchello and Lissia. With little to nothing to go on, Nico (Marchello’s Dad) is back to help from the shadows. With the building tension and danger, their relationship needs to be as steadfast as can be. And with Lissia’s proclivity to rash impulses, she may be what makes or breaks their bond. This conclusion was intense. Never a dull moment! I was on the edge the whole ride through. I loved how their relationship still had their ups and downs but they were able to embrace the decisions and actions the other person made. I can’t wait to read book 4!!

We conclude the saga of Marchello, the hunky and arrogant mafia prince who is trying to bring his father home, and Lissia, a bratty mafia princess from a rival family. Lissia’s father is now dead but still causing them grief from the grave. Secrets are revealed but were not completely resolved as it seems we will go into a new series. That being said, it was a decent conclusion. I still love Marchello and don't hate Lissia as much. These two went through so much. This is a dark romance, so mind the triggers.

This book was so good! Even after his death, her father still manages to cause trouble for her—poor girl. I can’t believe a father would want to traffic his own daughter! Despite everything, I really loved seeing how both characters are maturing and growing. It’s still kind of funny how she remains impulsive—some things just never change.
One of the best parts was how she stood up for herself and defeated the bad guy instead of just being saved by a man. It was so empowering! Also, that quote—"I only need you to be who you are. That’s who I fell in love with."—absolutely melted my heart. I’m so proud of how far they have come and get the happy ending they deserve.

This is the 3rd book in the Cruel Empire series. Marchello and Lissia continue to fight their enemies. A lot seemed to happen in this installment but I really didn’t want it to end. Lissia seems to adjust a little more and screw things up a little less. This is really a great series. It’s not over, though! Enemies are still lurking and we’ll get to see a little more of Marchello’s brother, Milo in the next book. Can’t wait!!
