I never dreamed I’d be living the life of an Englischer, let alone become a hockey star.
But here I am in the limelight I never wanted. What I do want is to be back in my Amish community with my family. But when I signed on with the Indianapolis Icebergs, I agreed to serve the team for a minimum of three years, and I intend to keep my word.
It’s not all bad, though, living amongst Englischers. I like my teammates—they’re a good bunch of guys. And then there’s Sage Graves, the coach’s daughter. The coach’s daughter that I might be highly attracted to. The verboten coach’s daughter.
And although I attempt to deny my attraction and steer clear of her—at the strong recommendation of my coach and teammates—circumstances seem to be throwing us together at every turn.
Above all, I want to do Gott’s will—whatever it may be.
When I learned Dad signed on a new guy for the hockey team, the last person I expected to walk into the arena was Amish Eli. Gorgeous Amish Eli with eyelashes a girl could get lost in.
But aside from Elijah’s, well, gorgeousness, he’s different than any man I’ve ever met—he gets me. Not only is he a sweet, wonderful person and friend, he’s someone I can depend on…or can I? After all, he only signed on for three years and plans to go back to his Amish family and a culture I know little about.
Not to mention, Dad’s pesky little rule about being forbidden to date any of his hockey players.
What I really need to do is forget Elijah Petersheim.
There’s one problem, though. I can’t get the amazing kiss we shared in his buggy out of my head no matter how hard I try to scrub it from my mind.
And if I’m honest with myself, I don’t want to.

Have to recap a little first....For Sure and Certain I Did Love This Book!! What a truly amazing second in the series. I wondered how a second could better than the first. Guess I should know Jennifer Spredemann by now and know that it always does and will. I truly enjoyed that we kept getting reminders of the characters from the first book in this series. I appreciate the way Jennifer does this but always leaves it so that if the reader had not picked up the first book but did the second they would not get lost and could read it happily. Well I absolutely adored the MC's in this story and I am so glad that the collaboration between Jennifer and Brandi Gabriel is working so well. They definitely have a winning series. Fans of hockey romances can love this, fans of Amish fiction can love this, fans of Christian fiction can love this too. Actually, there isn't a romance reader out there who couldn't do anything but love this book. Jennifer's writing style is so special and so unique and writing with Brandi has not taken this away. I could see myself becoming a huge Ice Hockey fan if these characters were real. They seem real. I highly recommend this book and know readers will laugh, cry and simply sit back and ooh and aah at the story. I cannot wait for the next one in this series. I am truly excited.
If your looking for a feel good book that will lift your spirits and leave you excited to flip the next page than this book is for you. I have always enjoyed this authors books and this is no exception it’s heartwarming and faith lifting. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
I Might Just Be in Love with the Coach's Daughter: An Amish Hockey Rom-Com By Jennifer Spredemann and Brandi Gabriel
Well, this duo has done it again.
I Might Just Be in Love with the Coach's Daughter: An Amish Hockey Rom-Com By Jennifer Spredemann and Brandi Gabriel Is just a perfect, well written, Amish Rom-com.
The title grabs you from the beginning and with the excellent characters and because of the fast moving storyline, you can’t wait to read what’s next. You really wish the story would go on forever.
Although forbidden, Elijah and Sage are drawn together from their very first encounter. You love them an pull for their romance to endure.
Ms. Spredemann has such a special way of telling a story from both main characters point of view. I love the way she always works the plan of salvation into her works, not in a pushy way, but it is there. The love of God shines through.
I was given and ARC by the author, but all views are expressed are mine. I was not required to give a positive review.
This is truly a 5-star read. Order yours today. I can’t wait for book three in this series.
If you know me at all, you know that my love of reading was rekindled several years ago when I discovered hockey romances. About a year ago, I had another reading epiphany when I discovered Amish romances. Now let’s be honest, in what world would these two things go together? The answer is quite simple, the magical world of romance books. Jennifer Spredemann has managed to combine these two very distinct tropes and make book magic happen.
I MIGHT JUST BE IN LOVE WITH THE COACH’S DAUGHTER is a brilliantly written love story about faith and love and trusting in a higher power to guide our way even through the most unlikely of circumstances. And trusting that things happen for a reason and that those reasons are for our benefit just like Sage and Elijah did.
I read this laugh out loud romance in one sitting and have zero regrets. I’m giving I MIGHT JUST BE IN LOVE WITH THE COACH’S DAUGHTER the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!
I love the first book in the series but must say that the second book was as amazing as the first. Loved that the characters from previous book were in the story too. It is different form regular Amish fiction and you will not be disappointed in reading. There is humor and God's teaching in the book.
I can’t tell you how much I loved this book. Second in her Amish Hockey Room-Com series. You won’t want to miss this heartwarming, sweet and funny Christian Romance. I can’t wait for the third! This needs to be in your TBR pile!
