I am so happy to have finally caught up with the manga now, I own all 28 volumes physically. I started watching the anime as something light and fun but fell in love with the Slime universe. I'm going to have a little break and read some other stuff and then begin again at light novel 1. Why am I writing this in my review? because that's how much I enjoyed this slime filled journey. I plan on owning every volume of the manga, the light novels and the spin offs. It was 4 stars until about volume 15 but kept getting better and better with every volume. I've really, really enjoyed reading That time I got reincarnated as a Slime.
Remain calm and don't get angry, moments later desk goes flying thirty feet away! LOL! I can't get enough of this series. Between the comedy and the intrigue as well as the world building it is simply fantastic.
Oh the intrigue! The political climate for a slime in charge of his own kingdom is much more complex than I thought it would be! Rimuru continues his mission to co-exist in mutual happiness with the human kingdoms, and in this regard meets with the Council of the West, where he hopes to join and become trading partners, growing his land in wealth and reputation, but someone behind the scenes is looking to control everything, including Rimuru himself, causing his complete obedience or demise, whichever is easier. Hinata has a big part in this volume. Very exciting and entertaining.
