I've always loved creative outlets, tried out hairdressing and dress making over the years but never found one that seemed to fit right.
Then I started writing and I finally feel like I am doing something that I can see myself doing far into the future.

Happily ever after only happens in fairy tales, or so we thought.
In Rhodes to Crazy we meet the Rhodes family, a crazy bunch that loves with their whole heart. Family values are important and you can't help but want to a part of theirs.

Layla lives with her sister and best friend Jasmine. Their family is close and art played a big role in how they were raised.
Layla has given up on men until her sister finds her a man. Her confidence is lacking since her ex boyfriends used her to get closer to Jasmine.

Sebastian gave up his man-whore ways the day his brother got married. He knew there had to be more to life than meaningless one night stands.

One day he's running in the park to his favorite spot and it's occupied by the most beautiful tone deaf woman singing and dancing to the sunset while taking pictures. He sneaks away without being noticed by Layla thinking he missed his chance. Little did he know that fate was on his side.

This is a sweet and funny story of love and family. Although it was slow at parts I enjoyed meeting the characters and feeling like I was a part of their family.

If you're looking for a feel good read with hunky men and the women who love them than this is the book for you.

I really enjoyed this book.I would use the words deep relationships, family and great connection to character's to describe this book i do normally read a more faster paced romance book with a bit more drama but i have not read a book like this before where you feel totally connected to all of the character's i really loved Carly's style of writing.

Sebastian Rhodes is bored of predictable women and after working hard to develop his career, He falls onto the path of Layla, quite unbeknownst to her and is later introduced to her by chance thanks to his sister-in-law Arianna. It was an instant attraction for Bastian. And Layla was smitten as well, though suffering from the dreadful "foot-in-mouth" disease during their first meeting, it did nothing to hold Sebastian back.

I wanted so badly to like this story. I felt there was great character development, I connected immediately to them, how they felt and what they were searching for in their lives. My biggest issue was the storyline. Sometimes I felt like it could use a pick-me-up. It was slow, and predictable, which I'm sure is bound to happen when you read romance after romance, but I just felt like I needed more. More angst, desire, that "I'm going to stay up all night reading, even if it kills me tomorrow" feeling.

If you lean more toward the sweet romance, then this is a must-read and you can find it for FREE on Smashwords! So head on over and pick it up.

Let me start of by say I love this book!!!

It's a beautifully written story about Layla and Sebastian and their love for each other.

Sebastian is a playboy who is sick of the endless line of girls and has decided to slow it down a bit. Layla is very whimsical and can't focus or commit to one thing for very long but has somehow decided that she wants to be a photographer.

Layla falls for Bas but is so scared that she is not good enough and that she will get her heart broken.

Sebastian first sees Layla while on a run in the park and he is bewitched and immediately inlove with her but thinks he is going crazy. His brother's wife has some sort of psychic gift and at a family function tells Sebastian that he will find her.

This starts the amazing story of two soul mates who find each other.

I must read for all lovers of romance.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rhodes to Crazy is about Sebastian Rhodes (Bas to his family) and Layla Alexander. Bas is known as a “man-whore” but since his brother’s wedding he has realized he wants more and is changing his ways. He is a successful businessman. He runs a security company with his one brother. On one of his daily jogs through the park to his favorite spot on a hill he finds a very intriguing brunette who is there taking photos, dancing and listening to music. As much as wants to meet her he doesn’t want startle her so he jogs away without her knowing he was there. He can’t forget her though and needs to know more about her.
Layla is artistic and slightly eccentric but struggles with an inferiority complex towards her younger sister, whom she feels is much more glamorous than she is. She has had past boyfriends that have only gotten closer to her to get to know her sister and because of this she has given up on finding a man and focus on starting her photography business. That is until she bumps into Bas at a nightclub. Now she can’t seem to forget this stranger she has a brief 5 minute encounter with.
I enjoyed how the book wasn’t a fast moving jump in bed type of book. Yes both Bas and Layla had a love at first sight feeling but the author allowed their relationship to grow over time. It was a slow moving book and at times it moved a little too slow. Plus, the setting takes place in England and I can only assume the author is from there as well because of the dialog in the book. This was somewhat of a distraction for me. Overall I loved the concept of the book and how the characters were developed and we got to know them, their family and friends. I just found the writing style not one of my favorite and at times the book was moving to slow along with the fact -- spoiler alert here -- that Layla talked about how she was going to be finishing school and how she was near the end of her studies but when she actually finished her studies never were mentioned, seemed off to me. We have celebrations for birthdays but her completing school seemed to be left o

We first meet Sebastian as he’s taking a run, and he sees this beautiful girl on top of a hill he dubbed as his own. He knew nothing about her, but was mightily intrigued. Then we meet with Layla. She’s the creative sort, who flies by the seat of her pants. She doesn’t see herself as beautiful, that belongs to her little sister.

Sebastian comes from a large, boisterous family, who’s sister-in-law just so happens to be a friend of Layla’s. So, Layla and Bas meet. And they have this instant attraction. Bas is instantly in love. He was mostly likely in love from the moment he saw her on his hill. And thus begins their story.

The story is a good one, I’m just not keen on the writing style. It’s one of those “tell you” stories, instead of “show you” stories. Also, there were many points of view in the story, even side characters. So it made getting to know the main characters really hard. I know there are a great many people out there that love this type of storytelling. And I’m not knocking it for them. It’s just not my cup of tea.

Ms. Wakefield has set herself up for many stories as these Rhodes kids are many. And I’m really certain that the hijinks and hilarity will ensue in further books. So the question is, would I recommend this book. I’d tell someone about it and about the writing style and leave the decision up to them. The heat in this book borders between sensual and steamy and it’s not too pervasive throughout the book, though it’s discussed plenty.

Sebastian Rhodes was tired of being a playboy. He was getting bored with the whole thing. While out on a run he comes across a women on a hill and realized he might have found something to relieve that boredom. Layla Alexander thinks she has finally found her niche as a photographer. Meeting Sabastian in his sister in laws florist shop, she is overwhelmed by his size and good looks, When she gets the job photographing his parents anniversary party she is unsure if he is attracted to her or just hiring her. Sebastian can't wait for the party to be over and he can ask her out.

Wonderful characters. Layla is used to guys seeing her sister then ignoring her and some using her to get to her sister. She thinks the same thing is going to happen if she gets involved with Sebastian. There's no way a man as good looking as him would pick her over her sister. Her self esteem issues play a big part of the story. Sebastian doesn't see any other women besides Layla. As the relationship heats up he is all in. In a few places the story seems to drag, but it picks back up making it a enjoyable sweet romance.
