Aloysius Daye is a Shakespearean actor, a serious actor -- yet it was not always so. He earned his celebrity and fortune playing a fictional vampire on a long running TV series. Unfortunately, he acquired one fan he never dreamed could be possible -- a real vampire intent on bestowing upon him the immortality and wicked pleasures of the night that he's only imagined and pretended. Aloysius' marriage is in trouble. The rift between he and his wife Lisa has reached a breaking point. In some ways he's already stepped over line, specifically with Lydia, his co-star in the play he is performing in a Toronto theater. He's only just begun to wrestle with his own passions and feelings before the four-hundred year old mistress of the night changes his life forever.
