She thought her past was buried. But some nightmares don’t stay dead.

The deeper Carolina digs, the clearer it this isn’t just a cult—it’s a movement. And the closer she gets to the truth, the more dangerous it becomes.
To stop Zarchi, Carolina will have to risk everything—including the people she loves most.
A professional photographer, writer and fan of general weirdness (both real and imagined), Tony has traveled tens of thousands of miles seeking out everything from haunted locations, UFO crash sites and monsters like Bigfoot and the Mothman. In a previous life, he worked in the independent movie industry but he finds his current career much more exciting.
Tony's first writing memory involves penning a short story about taking a road trip with his best friend and his dog (two different creatures) to watch KoKo B Ware in a professional wrestling event in Pittsburgh. He wrote that epic saga while in the 3rd grade and it was all downhill from there. His first books were a series of o)eat travelogues but recently his zombie apocalypse series, "Life of the Dead" has been a bestseller online and grossed out readers all over the world. His ultimate goal in life is to be killed by a monster thought by most to be imaginary. Sasquatch, werewolves, chupacabras, he’s not picky. If that fails, he’d enjoy making a living as a full time writer. Which of those two scenarios is more likely is up to the readers to decide.
Drew Strickland and Tony Urban add their best novel to date with this one, sure to keep series fans on their toes. Carolina McKay ended the last book in a major predicament, buried alive with no one around. When she is able to get out, she realises what she has unleashed and who is targeting her. Carolina will need to work with those who trust her to bring down a man who is as dangerous as he is cunning. The plan is to bring Carolina and others to their needs by any means necessary. Strickland and Urban send chills down the reader's spine with this captivating story.
After having been held captive and tortured for a long period, Carolina McKay is able to escape, but soon comes to discover that her issues are only starting. The man who did this to her—Josiah Zarchi—is a sadistic killer who poses as the leader of a cult. He wants nothing more than to exact revenge on Carolina, who sent him to prison for murders he vowed were not of his doing.
As Carolina tries to get Zarchi back in custody, she learns that the man is leading a group not only for their spiritual well-being, but also to create a movement with dire plans, which would surely cause havoc and turn things on their head. His followers believe him without question and he uses this to control them, as well as through abuse, drugs, and various forms of control, taking many wives along the way.
Carolina will have to rely on many of those who have helped her out in the past, while she tries not to put them in harm’s way. Zarchi is ruthless and will stop at nothing to get his way, even if it means piling up the bodies. This is surely Carolina's most intense case to date and she has everything to lose if she acts, but more if she remains quiet, doing nothing. Drew Strickland and Tony Urban may have left fans waiting, but they delivered a stunning addition to this series!
This series has kept me highly intrigued as I have binged it over the last week or so. The authors present a well-written narrative that propels things forward on a solid foundation. Strickland and Urban have found a means of putting many of the storylines together and added some depth needed to keep the reader hooked. Carolina McKay is on her game, though her lapse into old habits leaves much to be desired. Many characters from past pieces are back to add their own flavouring, while also refreshing readers about what they have been able to discover over the last while. Plot points help to keep the reader feeling surprised and entertained, while also leaving them needing more. I loved this book and can see the series getting even better!
Kudos, Messrs. Strickland and Urban, for a great thriller that was highly addictive.
The man who caused Carolina her job and her health has been freed from prison and we all know that he is a maniac. Now, this twisted individual is out for revenge and is planing the most diabolical thing ever. The bodies are piling up and Carolina looks like the guilty party. Can Carolina stop the madman?
This seven book series will keep you on the edge of your seat Carolina McKay is a private investigator that takes you on a journey with lots of twists and turns I recommend this series Due to some adult language and some adult description I would rate as adult reading Five plus stars
